TRUMP Token Whales Dine in Style

Held at the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia, the dinner welcomed the 220 largest holders of the TRUMP token. Photos shared online revealed tables decorated with “Fight Fight Fight” branding and a high-end menu featuring organic field greens, filet mignon, pan-seared halibut, and lava cake. Attendees also received gift bags containing black hats.

Notable figures included Tron CEO Justin Sun, Magic Eden’s Jack Lu, and BitMart CEO Sheldon Xia. Sun—reportedly the biggest buyer of the TRUMP memecoin—was brought onstage and gifted a Trump-branded gold watch worth $100,000, in a ceremony that highlighted his close ties to Trump.

Protests Erupt Over Crypto Influence

As the event unfolded inside, around 100 protesters gathered outside chanting slogans such as “Stop Trump’s Crypto Corruption” and “Democracy Is Not For Sale.” Many accused Trump of monetizing his political influence through crypto-related ventures.

Trump-linked entities are estimated to have earned around $100 million in trading fees from the TRUMP token, which launched just two days before his presidential inauguration. Additionally, Trump Media recently signed a non-binding agreement with Crypto.com to roll out “Made in America” exchange-traded products.

Ethena (ENA) Raises $100 Million for Financial Initiative

Especially popular altcoin from the Trump era, ENA, raised $100 million to support its financial initiative.

Since its launch a year ago, the cryptocurrency project Ethena, which has become one of the largest dollar-based cryptocurrencies, raised $100 million to finance the promotion of a similar token targeting traditional financial institutions.

The previously undisclosed fundraising was completed in December and attracted investor interest.

WLFI and ENA Strategic Partnership

As we previously knew, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), supported by Donald Trump, had made significant partnerships to increase its influence in the DeFi ecosystem. Recently, WLFI strengthened its position in the sector by establishing strategic alliances with various projects.

So, what have WLFI & ENA been working on?

WLFI’s long-term partnership with Ethena Labs takes the company’s impact in the DeFi world to the next level. The first step of this partnership involves using Ethena’s interest-bearing sUSDe token as collateral within the WLFI protocol. Furthermore, Ethena and WLFI plan to integrate sUSDe as the first new token supported by the Aave protocol.

The statement also mentioned that even if the governance vote results in a negative outcome, the parties would continue to pursue their partnership. This highlights the strength of the collaboration between WLFI and ENA, showing their determination to maintain the partnership despite potential obstacles.

Regardless of the governance vote result, both parties emphasize their commitment to working together to achieve their long-term goals.

This move aims to leverage Ethena’s large user base and high total value locked (TVL). As mentioned earlier, the strong strategic moves of both Ethena and WLFI are designed to boost their impact in the DeFi space.

Hong Kong-Based CMCC Global Launches a Fund Worth 100 Million US Dollars!

Direct Answers: Hong Kong-based venture capital firm focusing on cryptocurrencies CMCC Global collected 100 million US Dollars for a new fund called Titan Fund, which aims to support Asian blockchain start-ups, on Wednesday. More than 30 investors participated in completing the first round of the fund.

In an interview, Martin Baumann, founding partner of CMCC Global, stated that the Titan Fund is their fourth fund focusing on early-stage blockchain startups, especially focusing on Hong Kong. Baumann also explained that the fund was one of the leading investors of a new non-fungible token (NFT) project called Mocaverse, which raised 20 million US Dollars in September, and he previously participated in a pre-seed funding round for the fund in August.

Among the investors of the Titan Fund are notable figures such as blockchain company Block.one, Pacific Century Group of Hong Kong businessman Richard Li, Winklevoss Capital, Jebsen Capital, and Yat Siu, the founder of Animoca Brands. Baumann emphasized that two of the five investments made by the fund so far were Hong Kong-based companies.

Also, he mentioned that the Titan Fund has a focus on the Mocaverse project, which launched last December and raised 20 million US Dollars this September. Alongside this fund, CMCC Global also participated in a pre-seed funding round for the Hong Kong-based Web3 data infrastructure initiative Terminal 3.
