This highly anticipated conference is occurring just two weeks after an assassination attempt at a Trump event on July 13. Due to heightened security concerns, organizers have implemented advanced technology to screen attendees as they enter the Music City Center. Additionally, there will be a secondary Secret Service sweep for spectators entering the room where Trump will give his keynote address.

In preparation for the event, officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department have been patrolling parking lots and entryways around the venue since Thursday.
