According to the support announcement from Binance CEO CZ;

“Our security team will assist in tracking hacker funds whenever possible.” He said.

The theft occurred just two weeks after the decade-old crypto exchange Huobi changed its name to HTX. The Offshore trading platform hopes that rebranding will make its name known in many countries and make several changes in the future.

Huobi Becomes ‘HTX’

Crypto exchange Huobi changed its name to HTX to celebrate its tenth anniversary. It was noticed that this name bears a mysterious similarity to the bankrupt FTX company.

Additionally the exchange had already changed its brand on social media accounts. Along with this, it has also changed various product groups like HTX Earn to suit the new brand.

In the announcement made by the exchange, “‘H’ represents Huobi, ‘T’ represents TRON and ‘X’ represents the exchange. When looking at HTX through the combination of HT and X, HT represents the platform’s native token and X represents the exchange symbol.

They added that the X is a Roman numeral in respect of the exchange’s tenth anniversary.
