On Thursday, Genius Group’s board approved a distribution plan in case of successful outcomes from two major lawsuits. One of them, a RICO lawsuit against LZGI International, seeks $750 million in damages. The other is yet to be filed.

CEO Roger Hamilton stated that the company expects to claim at least $262 million based on 2023 data, which is likely to rise after including figures from 2024 and 2025.

“The Board believes that 100% of any proceeds from these cases should benefit shareholders.” said Hamilton.

If both lawsuits are won, half of the proceeds will be distributed to shareholders via a special dividend of $7 per share, and the other half will be used to buy approximately 5,000 BTC, based on current market prices.

Ongoing BTC Accumulation Strategy

On June 17, Genius Group had already increased its BTC reserves by over 50%, aiming to eventually hold 1,000 Bitcoin. The company had previously faced a temporary ban from raising funds for BTC acquisitions, which has now been lifted.

Big Announcements from Tether at the 2025 Bitcoin Conference 

Paolo Ardoino began his speech by stating: “We made $13 billion in profit last year. We currently hold $120 billion in U.S. Treasury assets. We’ve committed to serious Bitcoin investments. As a company, we own over 100,000 Bitcoins.” Ardoino emphasized his belief in Bitcoin, saying, “Bitcoin is perfect, gold is flawed.” 

He also spoke about Tether’s history with Bitcoin. “We are a company born with Bitcoin,” he said. “Everyone at our company loves Bitcoin. At our core, we are all Bitcoiners.” 

Tether’s Vision for Bitcoin and Energy 

Since 2023, Tether has been investing in Bitcoin mining. The company plans to establish mining facilities powered by renewable energy sources in Uruguay, Paraguay, and El Salvador. In Uruguay, the focus is on hydroelectric energy, while in El Salvador, they aim to build geothermal energy plants. These facilities are designed to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and enable mining with a low carbon footprint. Tether’s goal is to control 1% of the global Bitcoin hash rate with these investments. 

Ardoino announced these plans by saying:

“We’ve invested $2 billion in energy production. Bitcoin mining goes beyond this investment. We’re hesitant to say it, but we believe Tether will become the world’s largest Bitcoin miner — even among public companies — by the end of the year.” 

He also introduced Tether’s new ventures in artificial intelligence. “Our new AI systems are designed for society, not corporations,” he said. He shared his vision: “I want my AI agent to have an unsupervised wallet so I can give it some money. It will hold that money and work for me, independent of anyone else’s rules.” Ardoino added that they recently launched their own AI platform: “It’s called QVAC.” 

In conclusion, he touched on their partnership with Rumble. “We’re collaborating on one of our new projects. First, we’ll support Bitcoin. Then we’ll launch a Rumble Wallet, offering a stablecoin wallet for people,” he said.
