Today, the internet still relies on a handful of massive corporate servers. As a result, our data lives on their infrastructure, access rules are defined by third parties, and privacy often remains just a promise.

However, Autonomi aims to change this foundation entirely. Instead, it introduces a decentralized, blockchain-free, quantum-secure data layer built around a “pay once, store forever” model.

More importantly, Autonomi is not just a storage network. Rather, it operates as a global, self-governing digital infrastructure that runs without centralized control.

Core Features of Autonomi

Autonomous Network Architecture

Autonomi goes beyond traditional decentralised systems. The network simultaneously behaves like a global compute-capacity marketplace while becoming a native part of the internet itself.

It is permissionless, self-healing, and grows stronger as it scales.

Blockchain-Free Distributed Ledger (DLT)

Data is not stored on a blockchain. Autonomi operates using a blockchainless Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), enabling:

no transaction bottlenecks

organic scalability

performance that improves as the network grows

This removes many technical limits seen in conventional decentralised storage projects.

Quantum-Secure Encryption

Before any data leaves your device, Autonomi encrypts it automatically. Furthermore, the system applies quantum-resistant cryptography while maintaining end-to-end encryption in transit. Consequently, third parties cannot inspect content, track behavior, or analyze traffic patterns.

Data is also end-to-end encrypted in transit:

content cannot be inspected

usage behavior cannot be tracked

third parties cannot analyze network traffic

You retain cloud convenience — without exposing raw data to the internet.

A Global Network Built from Everyday Devices

Autonomi does not depend solely on massive data centers. From small computers to personal devices, millions of nodes can participate.

This brings environmental efficiency and genuine distributed security. The more devices join, the stronger the network becomes.

Privacy by Default

Privacy is not optional in Autonomi — it is architectural.

Zero-knowledge design means nodes never know what they store

data ownership cannot be traced

browsing and usage patterns remain invisible

Passwords and identity credentials never leave your device. One identity works across unlimited applications.

Your data belongs to you. You decide access.

How Autonomi Works

Autonomi replaces central servers with a self-managing global data layer built on protocols developed by MaidSafe.

The process is simple, yet deep.

First, Autonomi breaks your data into small chunks and encrypts each one locally using keys that never leave your device. Then, the network distributes these encrypted fragments randomly across thousands of nodes while creating multiple redundant copies.

These encrypted pieces are randomly distributed across the network with multiple replicas. Each dataset is protected by its own small node group (“close group”).

Nodes continuously audit one another. Underperforming nodes are automatically removed. New devices join, and data rebalances itself.

The result: a self-governing, fault-tolerant, permanent global storage system.

Pay Once, Store Forever

One of Autonomi’s most radical differences is its payment model.

Users pay once when uploading data. After that:

access is free

downloads are free

no subscriptions

This establishes true data sovereignty. Access is no longer dependent on corporate policies or platform decisions.

Economic balance is maintained through network token rewards distributed to nodes, incentivising capacity providers while keeping the system fully autonomous.

What Does Autonomi Enable?

Through encrypted, distributed, permanent storage, Autonomi supports:

private cloud alternatives

censorship-resistant publishing

direct NFT content storage

off-chain data layers for blockchains

personal AI memory and RAG systems

immutable archives

No server management, vendor lock-in, middle layer.

Just users, devices, and the network.

The Team Behind Autonomi

The project began nearly 18 years ago.

Founder engineer David Irvine envisioned an internet without central servers and established MaidSafe to bring that vision to life. Irvine holds over 40 patents in digital security and networking.

CEO Sarah Buxton brings Web3 scaling experience. Strategy is led by Jim Collinson, focused on human-centred autonomous systems.

Financial and corporate governance is supported by Andy Laverty and David Allan.

Token Utility

ANT powers the autonomous economy of the Autonomi network. Specifically, users spend ANT during uploads, while nodes earn ANT for providing storage and bandwidth. At the same time, the token balances resource allocation across the network and keeps the marketplace functioning autonomously.

İs used for:

one-time storage payments

rewarding node operators for bandwidth and storage

balancing internal resource allocation

enabling the autonomous marketplace

Key distinction: users only spend ANT during upload. Access afterward remains free.

ANT Supply (CMC Data)

Total Supply: 1.2B ANT

Max Supply: 1.2B ANT

Circulating Supply: 299.59M ANT

Holders: 66.12K wallets

Only ~25% of supply currently circulates. Remaining unlocks may represent future price pressure.

ANT Token Distribution

Out of 1.2 billion ANT:

Token Holders (MAID/EMAID + test incentives): 38% — 456M

Node Emissions: 20% — 240M (over 12 years)

Autonomi Foundation: 20% (long-term unlock)

MaidSafe Shareholders: ~18% — 214,748,365

Node rewards are capped at 240M ANT with a 12-year schedule, controlling long-term dilution while preserving network security.

The Autonomi Ecosystem

Autonomi is not a traditional dApp marketplace.

Developers receive core primitives:

permanent encrypted storage

serverless backend

device-side execution

Target applications include private-by-design storage, censorship-resistant publishing, NFT content hosting, blockchain off-chain layers, personal AI memory, and immutable archives.

Autonomi is not an app platform.

It aims to become the internet’s data infrastructure.

In the Web3 ecosystem, airdrops have become a critical tool for projects in user acquisition and community building processes. However, bot activities, low-quality participation, and inefficient distribution models seriously challenge the sustainability of traditional airdrop systems. AntDrop (ANT) stands out as a next-generation Web3 growth and reward platform developed to solve these problems, focusing on task-based and community-oriented mechanics.

AntDrop offers a task-reward ecosystem where users earn points by completing specific tasks and access airdrop rewards through these points. The platform’s main goal is to make airdrop processes more fun, measurable, and sustainable in the long term.

Core Purpose and Vision of AntDrop (ANT)

At the center of AntDrop lies fair participation and real user engagement. The platform goes beyond being a classic airdrop tool that only distributes tokens, serving as a comprehensive “growth engine” for Web3 projects.

The project’s core missions can be summarized as follows:

Fair reward distribution that prevents bot activities

Measurable participation that incentivizes real users

Sustainable community growth for projects

Transparent and decentralized reward system for users

This structure aims to create a win-win ecosystem for both projects and users.

How Does AntDrop (ANT) Work?

AntDrop is built on a task-based mechanism. Users participate in listed campaigns on the platform and complete both on-chain and off-chain tasks.

Task Types

Tasks offered on the platform generally cover the following areas:

Interactions on Telegram, X (Twitter), and Discord

Wallet connection and on-chain transactions

NFT or token-based tasks

Participation activities in project communities

Upon completion of tasks, users earn points, and these points qualify them for the airdrop rewards of the relevant campaign.

Protection Against Bots and Fair Distribution Mechanism

One of the most important elements distinguishing AntDrop from similar platforms is its anti-manipulation infrastructure. The platform uses advanced verification and reputation systems to prevent bot activities and fake accounts.

Thanks to these systems:

Real users are rewarded

Individual user participation is protected

Campaign efficiency increases

Projects’ ROI (return on investment) becomes measurable

This approach ensures that airdrops evolve from random token distributions into tools that serve real community building.

Key Features of AntDrop (ANT)

Real Participant-Focused Structure The combination of gamification and bot protection ensures that projects connect with active and engaged users rather than fake interactions.

Easy Campaign Management Projects can create airdrop campaigns with a single click thanks to an intuitive interface. The need for technical knowledge is minimized.

Advanced Analytics Tools Participant profiles, task completion rates, and campaign performance metrics can be analyzed in detail.

Multi-Chain Support AntDrop has a multi-chain infrastructure, primarily supporting Ethereum, BSC, Solana, and EVM-compatible networks.

DAO Governance Decisions regarding the platform’s future are shaped by the community through a decentralized governance model.

What is ANT Token and What Is It Used For?

ANT is the native utility token of the AntDrop ecosystem and sits at the center of all economic activities on the platform. The token is not merely an exchange medium; it is also used for governance, staking, and access to premium features.

Main Use Cases of ANT Token

Staking: APY rates ranging from 15% to 45%

Governance: Participation in DAO voting

Premium Membership: Access to exclusive and high-value airdrops

Ecosystem Incentives: Campaign rewards and platform advantages

This structure aims to provide ANT token with direct and sustainable utility.

AntDrop (ANT) Tokenomics

The AntDrop ecosystem is built on a total supply of 1 billion ANT. The token economy is designed to support long-term growth and market stability.

Token Distribution

Liquidity: 50%

Burning: 12%

Airdrop: 10%

Staking: 10%

Development Fund: 8%

Marketing: 3%

Seed Sale: 2%

Optional Pre-Sale: 2%

Team: 2%

Launch Airdrop: 1%

The initial market cap is set at approximately $2 million.

Liquidity Management and Supply Control

The 50% allocation to liquidity is structured to ensure trading depth on both DEX and CEX platforms. Notable aspects on the liquidity side:

All liquidity is locked for 1 year

Emergency reserve fund

Structure aimed at protecting market stability

This approach targets the reduction of sudden supply shocks and manipulation risks.

AntDrop (ANT) Roadmap

Q1 2026 – Expansion Phase

Integration with Ethereum, BSC, and Solana

Activation of DAO voting system

Launch of “AntScore” reputation system

Beta version of mobile application for Android and iOS

According to Arkham Research, the US government has sold Aragon’s ANT tokens seized from Alameda Research for ETH. The transaction was the first movement of funds from the wallet, which has been dormant for nearly two years. The government wallet holds approximately $974,000 worth of crypto assets.

On-chain data shows that authorities sold more than 82,000 ANT tokens seized from Alameda using AragonDAO’s ANT token swap address. ANT is known as Aragon’s governance token.

In November 2023, the Switzerland-based Aragon Foundation decided to dissolve itself and exchange 86,343 ETH (around $155 million at the time) for ANT tokens. Users were given until November 2, 2024 to swap their ANT tokens. Following the swap, all ANT tokens will be burned. The foundation stated that these tokens “no longer serve any purpose.”

The move began with an address starting with 0xb0692 funding a US government wallet, which is used as a storage address for the funds seized from Alameda. So far, the US government has obtained 209,199 ETH (worth $556,000) from AragonDAO.

Prior to these transactions, 0.003 ETH worth $7.03 was sent to the US government address via Coinbase; this amount was likely used to cover transaction fees.
