Expanding to offer a third blockchain network alongside Ethereum and BNB Chain, Travala, a crypto-based travel reservations platform, has linked with Solana. By means of Solana-based assets such as SOL, USDT, and USDC, this integration helps users to book flights, hotels, and lodging.

Emphasizing Solana’s scalability and cost-efficiencies, Travala’s CEO, Juan Otero, unveiled the progress during the Solana Breakpoint event held in Singapore With its loyalty program, which already welcomes Travala’s own token, AVA—as well as Bitcoin (BTC)—the platform also provides SOL travel incentives with up to 10% back on bookings.

Apart from the booking connectivity, AVA, Travala’s token, will now be usable on Solana, therefore extending its availability outside Ethereum and BND Chain. Users of zero-fee travel bookings might just enter SOL and other Solana-based tokens straight into their Travala accounts.

Looking ahead, Travala aims to include Solana deeper into its development plan in order to boost the practical value of the Solana ecosystem by means of additional goods and services.

Travala’s latest partnership with global travel service Skyscanner also suggests its growing clout. Thanks to Skyscanner’s connectivity, Travala’s 2.2 million hotel listings are currently available for booking in over 100 cryptocurrencies, therefore matching big travel agencies like Expedia and Booking.com. This behavior enables Travala to keep leading platform in the sector of cryptocurrency-travel.
