The gaming world has long struggled with a persistent issue: high-cost hardware and limited access. Consoles and high-end PCs are out of reach for most players. YOM changes this. The project creates a decentralized cloud gaming infrastructure (DePIN), making gaming accessible to everyone. The key difference: games run not from massive data centers, but from players’ local machines worldwide.

YOM (Your Open Metaverse) is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) on Avalanche, aiming to solve the “cloud computing” problem in gaming. The project provides a distributed GPU network allowing anyone to play AAA games with low latency, without expensive consoles or gaming PCs. Essentially, it’s a “Netflix for Games” model executed via global user hardware instead of Amazon or Google centralized servers.

Leadership Team

YOM is backed by industry-experienced professionals. CEO Jorrit Velzeboer launched the project after identifying limitations in centralized cloud infrastructure. CTO Rohan Solanki designed the technical backbone using large-scale blockchain tools and the HyperOrch scheduler. CCO Andy Pringle and CXO Jeff Outlaw manage studio and publisher relationships, while CMO Jeroen Elout optimizes growth and user experience. This team merges AAA gaming experience with blockchain technology.

Investors & Partners

YOM’s investor and partner ecosystem includes:

Investors: Outlier Ventures, Avalanche Foundation (AVAX), Borderless Capital. Seed and private rounds total ~$3–4M USD.

Technology Partners & Supporters: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, NVIDIA Inception Program, Intel, Flux, IO Net, Peaq blockchain, Blockchain Gaming Alliance (BGA). These partnerships are critical for infrastructure, cloud integration, and DePIN scaling.

Game Studios: 30+ studios, e.g., Blackmouth Games, K4 Rally, Bloxa, Luxx, Metagravity, Diamante.

Achievement: Won “Best Game Technology Investment Award” at Gamescom 2025.

YOM’s Goal & Solution

YOM targets the classic cloud gaming paradox: technology is ready, but costs and latency are a barrier. By turning idle GPUs into nodes, YOM streams games locally. Result: ultra-low latency, console-quality experience, and 95% cost reduction. The goal is not just streaming games, but creating a post-cloud economy where human contribution and local hardware have economic value.

What Happens When You Press “Play”?

YOM’s user experience is straightforward: click the link, and AAA games launch within seconds. No downloads, no installation, no login. HyperOrch AI scheduler selects the optimal node, and the game streams via WebRTC. Games propagate peer-to-peer, all tracked on blockchain, and revenue distribution occurs automatically: 40% to node operators, 5% token burn, 55% to platform treasury.

This model is revolutionary for both players and studios. Traditional cloud gaming costs $1–2/hour; YOM reduces this to below $0.05. Audience reach expands, sales accelerate, and publishers retain 100% revenue control (removing the 30% store fee).

Nodes in Action: Players’ idle rigs join the network.

Game Flow: Studios upload games → Nodes handle rendering and streaming → Players play instantly on any device (2 MB stub vs. 7 GB download).

Token Economy: Each session triggers $YOM burn; regional tokens (e.g., $yEU, $yASIA) optimize pricing.

Rewards: Node operators earn $YOM or high APY; XP system boosts gains.

Governance

Long-term governance is via YOM DAO. Node operators and community members shape the ecosystem through an XP-based system. Platform updates and incentives are community-driven; malicious actions are automatically penalized.

Token Utility

$YOM rewards node operators, grows the ecosystem, and maintains in-network economic cycles. Each transaction triggers token burn, reducing total supply. This ensures network growth benefits both players and node operators.

Avalanche (AVAX) surged more than 11% in the past 24 hours, reaching its highest level in seven months. The rally comes as Avalanche works toward establishing two crypto-focused investment vehicles in the United States, aiming to raise $1 billion. This initiative seeks to solidify Avalanche’s role as a key player in global capital markets.

Renewed Investor Interest on AVAX

Investor appetite for AVAX is clearly picking up again. The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator has climbed to its highest level in nearly two months, signaling strong capital inflows. This trend highlights that AVAX is not only viewed as a candidate for short-term gains but also as a long-term accumulation asset among market participants.

Buying Pressure and Momentum Shift

The steady rise in CMF reflects a decisive tilt toward buyers in the market. Despite broader volatility across the crypto sector, AVAX has managed to maintain upward momentum. The growing accumulation behavior from investors further strengthens Avalanche’s outlook and positions it favorably for both short- and mid-term price appreciation.

Bitcoin’s Influence on Market Sentiment

Bitcoin’s ability to hold above key support levels has also bolstered confidence across digital assets. With BTC showing resilience, AVAX traders are increasingly optimistic about higher price targets. The latest rally reinforces bullish conviction, encouraging speculators to bet on Avalanche’s continued growth.

A Strategic Path Forward for AVAX

Avalanche’s plan to launch U.S.-based investment products could serve as a catalyst beyond short-term price action. If the $1 billion fundraising effort succeeds, it may accelerate institutional adoption, broaden Avalanche’s investor base, and strengthen its standing in the competitive crypto finance landscape.

The crypto market is increasingly confident that spot altcoin ETFs will eventually receive approval. The key question now is not if they will be approved, but rather which projects will be first and when the green light will come. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart has recently shed light on this debate with his latest remarks.

All Eyes on the SEC For Altcoin ETFs

For crypto investors, the launch of altcoin ETFs has long been one of the most anticipated developments. Despite the SEC’s historical hesitations and strict regulatory stance, industry experts suggest the agency may finally be prepared to give approval to certain well-established projects.

Seyffart’s List of Altcoin ETF Candidates

According to Seyffart, several altcoins appear to meet the SEC’s listing standards. These include Chainlink (LINK), Stellar (XLM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Avalanche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC) and Polkadot (DOT). Each of these projects has proven technical foundations and sufficient trading activity to make the cut.

In addition, long-standing names such as XRP, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) stand out thanks to their deep liquidity and well-developed derivatives markets, which strengthen their positions as strong contenders.

The Strongest Trio: XRP, Solana, and Cardano

Among all the potential candidates, Seyffart singled outXRP, Solana, and Cardano as the most likely to secure SEC approval first. Their market maturity, high liquidity, and strong investor interest put them ahead of the pack.

As he emphasized: “The probability of a spot ETF launch is highest for XRP, Solana, and Cardano.”

Ethereum ETFs and the Role of Staking

Seyffart also touched upon Ethereum-based ETFs. He argued that if staking is officially allowed within these products, demand could rise sharply, creating a significant shift in investor appetite for ETH ETFs.

Signs of an “Altcoin Season”

The Bloomberg analyst further noted that the crypto market is already in the midst of an “altcoin season.” However, he warned that this cycle is not identical to previous ones and stressed that altcoin ETFs are unlikely to generate the same level of market impact as Bitcoin ETFs did.

According to a report by Forbes, the popular altcoin Avalanche (AVAX) has secured a $250 million investment from Galaxy and other investors.

This significant investment is expected to strengthen Avalanche’s ecosystem and enable the rapid development of new projects. Following the announcement of the investment, AVAX saw a notable surge in its market value.

This investment could further drive the growth of Avalanche’s technical infrastructure and decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

The increasing popularity of Avalanche allows the platform to reach a broader user base, creating significant momentum for future projects. With the backing of powerful investors like Galaxy, Avalanche’s market performance is expected to strengthen even further.

In response to the news, investors have reacted positively, with expectations that the price could rise even more in the short term.

What Is Avalanche (AVAX)?

Avalanche is a Layer-1 blockchain that began development in 2020 and was launched in September 2020.

Thanks to its fast transaction capacity and advanced technological infrastructure, it has rapidly gained popularity in the cryptocurrency world and achieved significant market value.

Avalanche has attracted substantial investments from leading firms such as a16z, Polychain, and Galaxy Digital.

Due to its multi-chain structure, Avalanche can host multiple blockchains built for different purposes on the same platform.

This structure creates specialized subnets for each project, positioning it as the key solution to enhance the scalability of the AVAX ecosystem.
