One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance, has announced a significant delisting decision for its spot markets. According to the official statement, all spot trading pairs for the ACA, CHESS, DATA, DF, GHST, and NKN tokens will be removed as of February 13, 2026, at 03:00. This decision was made as part of Binance’s regular listing review process and is a critical development for investors trading these tokens.

Reason for Binance’s Delisting Decision

Binance states that its delisting decisions are based on a comprehensive and regular evaluation process, in which both technical and market performance of projects are thoroughly assessed. Evaluation criteria include, in particular:

The project team’s development activity and adherence to its roadmap

Trading volume, liquidity, market depth, and sustainability

Community and ecosystem sustainability, user interest, and developer contributions

Security and compliance standards, potential risks, and regulatory alignment

Following the latest review, it was determined that these tokens did not consistently meet Binance’s listing standards, leading to the delisting decision.

Tokens to Be Delisted

According to Binance, the tokens to be removed from spot trading are:

ACA

CHESS

DATA

DF

GHST

NKN

All spot trading pairs for these tokens will be suspended after the specified date.

Critical Dates for Investors

Binance emphasized that users should close any open positions and withdraw their assets to wallets before the delisting date to avoid potential losses. After delisting, these assets will no longer be tradable on the spot market, and liquidity may drop significantly. Experts note that delisting announcements often trigger short-term sharp price movements in the affected tokens, so investors should exercise caution.

Binance’s decision to remove ACA, CHESS, DATA, DF, GHST, and NKN from spot trading highlights once again the importance of liquidity and trust in the markets. Such delisting actions underline that investors should focus not only on listing news but also on the long-term sustainability of projects.

An important development has occurred for cryptocurrency investors. Binance Futures announced that it will discontinue the BIDUSDT, DMC, ZRC, and TANS futures contracts. This decision serves as a critical warning for active traders and investors, emphasizing the need to manage positions and review risk strategies. With the closure of these contracts, users must monitor their open positions in time, close them if necessary, or develop alternative strategies. Additionally, since this step may affect market liquidity and the functioning of the contracts, it is crucial for investors to closely follow developments on the Binance platform.

Futures Contracts to Be Closed and Dates

According to Binance, the specified futures contracts will officially close from a certain date. During this process, it is vital for users to close open positions in time or develop alternative strategies. Binance manages the process transparently and systematically, ensuring that investors are informed at every step. This approach allows investors to control their risks and manage positions safely.

Experts emphasize that Binance’s decision to discontinue these futures contracts is a critical step for risk management, especially for traders holding positions in BIDUSDT, DMC, ZRC, and TANS pairs. This process requires investors to carefully review current positions, reassess portfolios, and update strategies. Furthermore, the closure of futures contracts necessitates that traders closely monitor market movements and take precautions against sudden price fluctuations. Therefore, investors should follow the process diligently to manage their positions safely.

Binance’s Portfolio Optimization and Liquidity Management

Binance considers the decision to discontinue futures contracts as part of its portfolio optimization and liquidity management strategy. This step aims to increase efficiency in trading pairs, strengthen market liquidity, and improve the user experience. Experts note that such adjustments create a more balanced and secure trading environment for both traders and investors. Additionally, this move reflects Binance’s proactive approach to risk management and operational efficiency.

What Should Investors Do?

Investors can manage their positions safely by closely following the dates and details of the futures contracts being discontinued on Binance Futures. This process is particularly important for crypto traders in terms of short-term price fluctuations and strategy adjustments. Those who close open positions on time or develop alternative strategies can reduce the risk of being affected by sudden market movements and protect their portfolios more securely. Therefore, Binance’s announced futures closure schedule is being closely monitored by investors.

Alpaca Finance, once one of the largest DeFi protocols on BNB Chain, announced it will cease all operations by the end of 2025. The project was a pioneer in leveraged yield farming but gradually lost sustainability due to increasing competition, declining revenues, and shrinking user interest. Most recently, Binance delisted the ALPACA token, prompting the project to decide on a full shutdown.

Alpaca Finance will gradually close all its products. Users will be able to withdraw their assets from the platform until December 31, 2025. The front-end access will remain available until that date.

Reasons for Alpaca’s Shutdown

Launched without pre-sales, VC investments, or pre-mining, Alpaca Finance relied entirely on protocol usage for revenue. However, its Total Value Locked (TVL), which was over $900 million at the start of 2022, dropped to $54.6 million by 2025. User numbers declined, transaction volumes fell, and funds flowed out. The platform didn’t just offer yield farming; it also launched a stablecoin named AUSD, developed automated vaults, and created a perpetual trading platform called Alperp. However, user interest in these services was insufficient.

Binance’s delisting of the ALPACA token in May 2025 severely impacted the token’s accessibility and liquidity. This also limited the protocol’s ability to allocate remaining resources toward new initiatives. The protocol engaged in merger and acquisition talks but failed to attract any buyers under current market conditions. Following these developments, the team initiated the shutdown process. After four years of operation, Alpaca Finance is exiting the DeFi space.

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it will delist AKRO, BLZ, and WRX on December 25, 2024.

As a prominent platform in the crypto world, Binance continues to regularly review the digital assets it lists to improve the quality of its services and make the ecosystem more sustainable.

Following the latest assessments, it has been decided to delist Akropolis (AKRO), Bluzelle (BLZ), and WazirX (WRX).

When Will the Delisting Process Begin?

Binance will remove all spot trading pairs for these tokens starting December 25, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC). Deposit support will end on December 26, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC). Users are advised to complete their withdrawal transactions by February 25, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC). Key dates to keep in mind during this process are as follows:

December 23, 2024: Futures contracts for BLZ will be closed.

December 24, 2024: Flexible products on Binance Simple Earn will be automatically terminated.

December 25, 2024: These tokens will no longer be supported on Binance Gift Card and Binance Pay.

Which Trading Pairs Will Be Affected?

The following trading pairs will be delisted:

AKRO/USDT

BLZ/BTC

BLZ/USDT

WRX/USDT

What Factors Does Binance Consider When Making Delisting Decisions?

When deciding to delist a cryptocurrency, Binance evaluates multiple factors, including the project team’s commitments, the quality of development activities, trading volume, and liquidity.

Additionally, factors such as network security and stability, compliance with new regulatory requirements, and the project’s contribution to the crypto ecosystem are also taken into account. These criteria support Binance’s goal of maintaining high standards for the assets listed on its platform.

In order to ensure user performance and maintain a high-quality trading market, Binance regularly reviews all commonly used spot trading pairs on the platform.
Following the final review, Binance will remove the following spot trading pairs from the platform as of August 23, 2024 at 06:00 (UTC) and will stop showing trading in these pairs:,

ARKM/TUSD

CHZ/EUR

“The listing of spot trading pairs does not affect the availability of the relevant tokens on Binance Spot. Users are advised to trade the base and counter assets of these pairs through other pair trading available on Binance. Binance will terminate the Spot Trading Bot services for the specified spot trading pairs after August 23, 2024 at 06:00 (UTC).”

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, has announced the delisting of additional spot trading pairs, including those involving Internet Computer (ICP) and Maverick Protocol (MAV). This move comes as part of Binance’s ongoing strategy to maintain a high-quality trading market.

Binance’s Delisting Details

Spot Pairs to be Delisted:

– Internet Computer (ICP) against Binance Coin (BNB)
– Maverick Protocol (MAV) against TrueUSD (TUSD)

Effective Date:

– July 19 at 03:00 UTC

Binance will also cease the operation of spot trading bots for the affected pairs and recommends that users update or cancel their bots to avoid potential losses.

Reasons for Delisting

Binance conducts periodic reviews of all listed spot trading pairs and may delist pairs based on various factors such as poor liquidity and trading volume. The exchange aims to protect users and ensure a high-quality trading environment.

Recent Developments

New Reference Rates and Real-Time Indices:

– CME and CF Benchmarks have launched new reference rates and real-time indices for Internet Computer (ICP) and Ripple’s XRP.

Binance’s Recent Delisting Moves:

– Binance previously announced the delisting of BTC/TUSD and TUSD/USDT spot trading pairs as it gradually withdrew support for the TUSD stablecoin.

Despite the delisting, Binance is actively rolling out initiatives to enhance market liquidity and improve the trading experience. Notably, the exchange has announced a promotional event for Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE), titled “Battle of The Meme Dogs,” which offers significant rewards to participants. This event is set to end on July 29.

Traders holding or trading ICP and MAV should be prepared for the delisting and take necessary actions, such as updating or canceling their spot trading bots and considering the liquidity and trading volume impacts on their portfolios. The delisting of these pairs reflects Binance’s commitment to maintaining a robust and user-friendly trading environment while managing the market’s evolving dynamics.

Users have been given a warning by Binance that the cryptocurrency exchange would delete many perpetual futures contracts from its listing.

It has been announced by the platform that STP, Status, MovieBlock, Radworks, and Convex contracts will be removed from use. This change is a preventative action that is intended to improve trade security and bring it into alignment with the conditions of the market.

Those who trade the listed contracts are strongly encouraged to examine their trading techniques in order to prevent the possibility of liquidating their positions. In particular, this pertains to the process of setting leverage.

Following the implementation of the upgrade, which is scheduled to take place on May 13, Binance will make it impossible to establish new positions on contracts for STPTUSDT, SNTUSDT, MBLUSDT, RADUSDT, and CVXUSDT.

In addition, Binance Futures Trading retains the authority to implement additional safeguards without providing previous notification. These adjustments include modifications to the leverage limit, position values, maintenance margins for a variety of levels, and any other adjustments that may be necessary.

According to news that is related to Binance, on April 30, a court in the United States handed down a sentence of four months in prison to Changpeng Zhao, the creator of the exchange, for his role in money laundering and other unlawful actions.

At first glance, the sentencing appeared to be more lenient than anticipated. In the beginning, it was presumed that the verdict about Changpeng Zhao would be revealed on February 23rd; nevertheless, the hearing was delayed for more than two months. The former head of Binance was asked to serve a sentence of 36 months in prison by the prosecution.
