One of the notable developments in the cryptocurrency market comes from Sign (SIGN), a project offering digital identity and e-signature solutions. According to on-chain data, the team transferred a total of 150 million SIGN tokens to Binance wallets. This transfer corresponds to about 11% of the circulating supply.

What Does This Mean?

There are several possible reasons behind this transfer of 150 million tokens:

Providing Liquidity: SIGN tokens could be added as extra liquidity for trading pairs on Binance.

Marketing and Campaign Funding: This could be a distribution within the previously announced 150M SIGN marketing allocation.

Concerns Over Selling Pressure: Market investors often interpret large token transfers as potential selling pressure.

In April 2025, the protocol distributed 200 million tokens (2% of total supply) via the Binance HODLer Airdrop program. With the spot listing, 1.2 billion SIGN tokens (12%) entered circulation. Three months later, 150 million tokens (1.5% of supply) were allocated for marketing and community campaigns. The project provides Web3 digital identity and e-signature solutions and has raised $32 million from Sequoia Capital and YZi Labs.

No official statement has yet been released by the SIGN team. However, on-chain data shows that such a large transfer cannot be ignored. We will update our news as developments occur.

One of the most notable large transactions in the crypto market took place today on the Solana (SOL) network. A staking account, identified as having been funded by Binance nearly three years ago, transferred a total of 2.66 million SOL (approximately $440.77 million) to a Binance cold wallet just 12 minutes ago.

Move From a Binance-Funded Account After Three Years of Silence

According to Arkham, one of the blockchain monitoring tools, this wallet had not shown any significant activity over the past three years. This made the large transfer stand out in the market. In particular, the fact that Binance appears as the original funder of the wallet raised questions about the source of the transaction.

Following the transfer, the related staking account saw a significant decrease in assets, while the receiving Binance cold wallet substantially increased its asset holdings.

Why Is This Transfer Important?

Such large-scale movements often provide critical signals for investors tracking whale activity and potential internal exchange restructuring. It is still unknown whether this transfer was part of an internal exchange operation or served another purpose. These types of massive transactions can offer clues about market liquidity, exchange reserves, and potential staking strategies.

Whether this development will place pressure on the Solana price will become clearer in the coming hours. In particular, major unstaking events or re-staking moves can impact prices in the short term.

This content does not constitute investment advice. The markets involve high risk and it is important that you do your own research before making any investment decisions.
