Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is experiencing a fresh wave of momentum today. The price of BCH has surged more than 13% over the past 24 hours and is trading around $542. During the sudden jump, the price climbed from $475 to as high as $542.91, while daily trading volume surpassed $900 million, signaling renewed market interest.

This move is not just a short-term bounce. On the monthly BCH/BTC chart, BCH has broken above a key yearly resistance level a significant technical breakout that strengthens the bullish outlook. Bitcoin Cash has also surpassed Zcash, re-entering the top 12 cryptocurrencies, which has further boosted market confidence.

Key Reasons Behind Bitcoin Cash’s Price Surge

BCH’s recent rally is supported by strong expectations tied to its medium-term roadmap. The development team plans to reduce block times from 10 minutes to 2 minutes by 2026. This improvement would dramatically increase transaction throughput, making Bitcoin Cash far more competitive for everyday payments and microtransaction use cases.

Another major upgrade in the pipeline is OP_EVAL, which aims to bring enhanced smart contract functionality to the BCH network. With this update, Bitcoin Cash could position itself as a low-cost alternative for DeFi applications. Additionally, the team is working on a unified protocol specification designed to make future upgrades smoother and more secure — helping the developer ecosystem grow in a scalable and cohesive way. These factors collectively strengthen long-term investor confidence.

Market Structure Shows Some Cautious Signals

Despite the strong price action, on-chain data reveals mixed signals that warrant caution. Increasing exchange inflows indicate that some investors may be using the rally as an opportunity to take profits. Liquidity remains thin across several networks, and some professional traders appear to be reducing exposure.

This suggests that the current surge is driven more by retail excitement rather than strong institutional accumulation or whale inflows. As a result, short-term volatility risk remains high. However, the sharp V-shaped recovery from $447 indicates that major players may have accumulated at the very bottom in recent weeks.

Key Technical Levels: Next Target at $580

Analysts highlight the $545–$550 range as critical for confirming continuation. If BCH holds above this zone, the next major target becomes $580. A clean breakout above 580 would open the door to increasingly aggressive upside scenarios:

$621

$684

$768

Above $1,100 (in high-momentum market conditions)

Bitcoin Cash is known for explosive rallies once it breaks major resistance levels, similar to previous bull cycles. This is why many investors believe the current structure resembles earlier large BCH breakouts.

Bitcoin Cash Back on the Radar With Strong Technical Backing

Thanks to large-scale technical improvements in its roadmap, upcoming smart contract upgrades, and significant speed optimizations, Bitcoin Cash has regained strong market attention. The breakout above high-timeframe resistance levels shows rising momentum and a supportive trend structure. Although short-term volatility remains a risk, the long-term outlook and ongoing project developments are viewed as highly positive.

As Zcash continues its rapid rise, it has surpassed two major projects to claim the 13th spot in the total market cap rankings.

What is Zcash (ZEC)?

Created in 2016 through a fork of Bitcoin’s codebase, it was developed to support anonymous transactions using zero-knowledge proofs. It employs zk-SNARKs, a cryptographic method that verifies transactions without revealing sensitive information, encrypting the sender, receiver, and transaction amount to ensure financial privacy.

Unlike fully transparent blockchains like Bitcoin, it allows users to choose between shielded addresses for privacy or transparent addresses for audit purposes. This flexibility appeals to both privacy advocates and regulated institutions.

For a more detailed analysis, read: How High Can Zcash Price Go in November?

Why is Zcash (ZEC) Rising?

ZEC has surged over 50% in just one week despite the spread of negative news and FUD, drawing the full attention of the market. With this rally, its market capitalization has reached $9.75 million, placing it 13th in the total market cap rankings. Among privacy coins, Zcash now holds the highest market value, surpassing Monero with an impressive annual increase of 1,172%.

The current surge is driven by real-world utility, increased adoption of shielded transactions, and shifting perceptions around privacy in cryptocurrencies. If this trend continues and privacy-focused adoption gains more traction among investors, Zcash could still have room for further growth.

Until recently, Zcash was relatively unknown, trading around the $16 mark, but it now sits near $600. It began its upward movement at the end of September and has since gained more than tenfold in value. From trading below $54 at the end of September, Zcash soared to $748 on Friday — its highest level since January 2018.

The crypto market is increasingly confident that spot altcoin ETFs will eventually receive approval. The key question now is not if they will be approved, but rather which projects will be first and when the green light will come. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart has recently shed light on this debate with his latest remarks.

All Eyes on the SEC For Altcoin ETFs

For crypto investors, the launch of altcoin ETFs has long been one of the most anticipated developments. Despite the SEC’s historical hesitations and strict regulatory stance, industry experts suggest the agency may finally be prepared to give approval to certain well-established projects.

Seyffart’s List of Altcoin ETF Candidates

According to Seyffart, several altcoins appear to meet the SEC’s listing standards. These include Chainlink (LINK), Stellar (XLM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Avalanche (AVAX), Litecoin (LTC) and Polkadot (DOT). Each of these projects has proven technical foundations and sufficient trading activity to make the cut.

In addition, long-standing names such as XRP, Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) stand out thanks to their deep liquidity and well-developed derivatives markets, which strengthen their positions as strong contenders.

The Strongest Trio: XRP, Solana, and Cardano

Among all the potential candidates, Seyffart singled outXRP, Solana, and Cardano as the most likely to secure SEC approval first. Their market maturity, high liquidity, and strong investor interest put them ahead of the pack.

As he emphasized: “The probability of a spot ETF launch is highest for XRP, Solana, and Cardano.”

Ethereum ETFs and the Role of Staking

Seyffart also touched upon Ethereum-based ETFs. He argued that if staking is officially allowed within these products, demand could rise sharply, creating a significant shift in investor appetite for ETH ETFs.

Signs of an “Altcoin Season”

The Bloomberg analyst further noted that the crypto market is already in the midst of an “altcoin season.” However, he warned that this cycle is not identical to previous ones and stressed that altcoin ETFs are unlikely to generate the same level of market impact as Bitcoin ETFs did.

You can also freely share your thoughts and comments about the topic in the comment section.

Meme coins, led by the dog-themed WIF, are experiencing a surge in price, defying a stagnant market ahead of the upcoming holiday weekend.

While Bitcoin (BTC) hovers around $70,000 with minimal movement in the past 24 hours, the meme coin sector is exhibiting significant volatility. Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) all saw minor dips of 1%, while Bitcoin Cash (BCH) extended its Thursday rally with a 4% gain.

Solana-based dogwifhat (WIF) is leading the charge, propelling meme coins to become the most volatile category in an otherwise sluggish market. WIF reached a high of $4 early Friday before retreating slightly.

Data from CoinGecko reveals an impressive 8% average increase for the meme coin category, surpassing growth in sectors like decentralized finance (DeFi), yield farming, and exchange tokens.

This surge finds its roots in Thursday’s speculation surrounding Dogecoin (DOGE) potentially being integrated into a forthcoming payment service for social media application X. However, there’s no official confirmation from the company involved.

DOGE Futures Hit Record High (Dogwifhat)

Bets on futures tracking DOGE have skyrocketed to a record $2 billion, reflecting anticipation of future price volatility with a bullish lean.

Dog-themed tokens like FLOKI and WIF have emerged as potential beneficiaries of the DOGE hype. Notably, WIF surpassed Pepecoin (PEPE) to claim the title of third-largest meme coin by market capitalization, exceeding the $4 mark on Thursday.

Despite the bullish sentiment surrounding meme coins, some trading firms warn of a potential pullback as price movements in Bitcoin and Ether suggest exhaustion.

“The price rally in Q1 has been exponential, and there are signs of fatigue,” commented Singapore-based QCP Capital in a Friday Telegram broadcast. They point to skewed ETH risk reversals leaning towards the downside (-8%) as an indicator of some investor fear. Additionally, high funding rates and forwards suggest speculators are still paying heavily to maintain leveraged long positions.

The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld its decision made in August in the infamous Silk Road case, ruling that assets be put under federal control.

You might like: Near Protocol Chart Analysis and Price Analysis!

This decision reinforced a previous ruling in which the government claimed rights over digital assets associated with Silk Road’s illegal activities. The seized assets include cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Bitcoin SV (BSV), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

The U.S. court made a decision in August of 2020 regarding assets exceeding the value of the Bitcoin seized in connection with the illegal activities of the Silk Road, following the U.S Department of Justice’s asset seizure decision. This decision was made after an individual known as “Person X” hacked into the Silk Road and took control.

Earlier reports stated that the Silk Road’s hacker was James Zhong and that Zhong was sentenced to a year in prison in April.

On July 2nd, a cryptocurrency wallet associated with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) moved approximately 9,825.25 Bitcoins worth about $299 million linked to the Silk Road and carried out various transactions. Crypto analysts are closely monitoring these fund movements because they are evaluating the effects of a large sale that can be made by the U.S. government on Bitcoin prices.

Ross Ulbricht, founder and manager of the illicit marketplace infamous for drug and weapon sales between 2011-2013, was sentenced to life in prison in the Silk Road case. In 2022, Ulbricht decided to use stolen Bitcoins worth $3 billion to pay his debt to the U.S. government and to forfeit his claim to 69,470 Bitcoins.
