										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As of 2025, publicly traded companies have significantly increased their<strong><a href="https://coinengineer.net/blog/el-salvadors-bitcoin-sector-struggles-only-11-of-registered-firms-active/"> holdings of Bitcoin (BTC)</a>.</strong> Bitcoin, which is the center of attention of institutional investors, continued to increase in 2025. According to recent reports published by Bitwise, institutional companies purchased more than 95,000 BTC in 2025, bringing their total reserves to 688,000 BTC. This increase represents a 16% growth compared to the previous quarter.</p>
<p>Bitcoin, which had an average price of $ 82,445 with the decline in March, reached $ 56.7 billion in value in the hands of companies. This data is one of the clearest indicators that institutional investors see Bitcoin as a long-term asset class.</p>
<h2><strong>Number of Bitcoin-Owned Companies Increased to 79 with New Participations</strong></h2>
<p>Bitcoin shares continue to rise. According to the Bitwise report, the number of public companies with Bitcoin reserves in the first quarter of 2025 (January-March) reached 79, with 12 companies added to the list. Among these companies, some of them have BTC purchases;</p>
<p>Ming Shing (Hong Kong): This company operating in the construction industry entered the list by purchasing 833 BTC between January and February through Lead Benefit.<br />
Rumble (Video Sharing Platform): The company, which operates as a competitor to YouTube, made a purchase of 188 BTC in March and joined the companies with Bitcoin reserves</p>
<h3><strong>Japanese Giant Metaplanet Gets 4,525 BTC</strong></h3>
<p>One of the most talked about names among the companies adopting Bitcoin was the Japanese investment company Metaplanet. On April 14, 2025, it announced that it purchased 319 BTC at an average price of $ 82,770. With this latest purchase, the company increased its Bitcoin Reserve to 4,525 units. The value of the company&#8217;s Bitcoin portfolio currently exceeds 383.2 million dollars.</p>
<p>Metaplanet&#8217;s investment made it one of the 10 largest Bitcoin companies according to the latest data. MicroStrategy takes the top spot among Bitcoin-owned companies with 214.00 BTC. In addition, Tesla holds 11,500 BTC and Jack Dorsey&#8217;s Block Inc. is among institutional investors with 8,485 BTC.</p>
