Blockchain Commission Rates Soared Over The Weekend! Meme Coin, NFT, and inscription frenzy continue, blockchain network transaction fees increased over the weekend.

Recently, Avalanche, zkSync Era, BNB Chain, and usage rates on various blockchain networks have seen a significant increase and continue to rise.

One example of this crazy increase was the Avalanche network because it was the network that consumed the most gas with more than 5.6 million dollars spent on gas that day alone. Then, Arbitrum One ranked second with $2.1 million spent on inscriptions.

EVM inscriptions are located on the chain along with information embedded in transaction call data to create unique non-replaceable tokens (NFTs), which shows us that diversification in the crypto ecosystem is increasing.

According to research, this increase in Bitcoin transaction fees and the difficulty of using the network for its intended purpose made peer-to-peer digital money transfer difficult for many users. The Bitcoin network also saw an increase in inscriptions over the weekend, which increased block space demand and transaction fees. According to some data, there are still unconfirmed transactions on various networks.

China is advancing plans to use blockchain technology to verify the real identities of its 1.4 billion citizens. The announcement was made by the Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), China’s national-level blockchain initiative.

This move is likely to raise concerns among privacy advocates as it could grant the government unprecedented power to monitor and track its citizens. However, BSN claims that by using decentralized identity (DID) technology, the system will protect user privacy. China will create digital identities for people using blockchain.

For Chinese social media users, real-name registration is mandatory. The six largest social media platforms in China, including WeChat, Sina Weibo, Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili, and Xiaohongshu, currently require content creators with 500,000 or 1 million followers to disclose their real names or the names of their financial supporters.

This policy was implemented in October 2023 and was reported to be designed to ‘enhance credibility and ensure public oversight.’ BSN claims the new system will safeguard user privacy. BSN asserts that the new RealDID system will be the world’s first national-level decentralized identity system with real names. The system will use DID technology to allow users to register and log in to websites anonymously.

In a press release, BSN stated, ‘Through the RealDID service, users will be able to register and log in to websites anonymously using their DID addresses and private keys. Thus, business data and transactions will be kept separate from personal information.’

Concerns about data privacy persist

Despite BSN’s claims, some experts are concerned that the RealDID system could be used to track and monitor citizens’ online activities. They argue that the government could use the system to identify and suppress dissent.

The future of the RealDID system is uncertain

It is unclear how the RealDID system will be implemented or utilized by the Chinese government. However, the announcement will undoubtedly raise concerns among privacy advocates worldwide. Time will tell whether the RealDID system will be a force for good or a tool for repression.

Brazil prepares to implement blockchain-based digital Identity! According to a statement by the Brazilian government, over 214 million citizens will soon be using blockchain-based digital identities. The states of Rio de Janeiro, Goiás, and Paraná, where the blockchain identities developed by Serpro will be first used, were pivotal to this step. According to a decree published on September 25, every citizen of the country will be able to get their identity documents via blockchain technology by November 6.

According to Serpro’s president Alexandre Amorim, blockchain’s decentralized and immutable nature makes it the most appropriate technology for Brazil’s identity project. Amorim said, “Blockchain technology plays a critical role in protecting personal data and preventing fraud, providing Brazilian citizens with a safer digital experience. The utilized b-Registries blockchain platform significantly enhances the security and reliability of the National Identity Card project.”

— Serpro (@SERPRO) September 25, 2023

According to the government’s statement, the identity project will play a crucial role in areas such as combating organized crime, enabling public sectors to collaborate more effectively, easier access to services, and regulation of administrative records. For the last few years, Brazil has been trying to unify 30 provinces regarding identity. It is emphasized in the announcement that secure data exchange will be provided with the new steps.

Another important development in the country is the upcoming Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) project. The government rebranded the digital currency as “Drex” after introducing the project in more detail in August.

In simple terms, a smart contract is an agreement that is executed using code on a blockchain, such as Ethereum. Unlike traditional contracts, which are written on paper and rely on trust, smart contracts utilize the security and reliability of blockchain technology.

Smart contracts have a wide range of applications, enabling peer-to-peer functionality in various areas like credit, insurance, logistics, and games. Developers can leverage the benefits of blockchain to build applications that are secure and accessible. Instead of relying on physical documents and lawyers, smart contracts use code running on a blockchain to define and enforce the terms of an agreement.

You might like it: How To Use Trading View? What Is It?

The concept of Bitcoin introduced the idea of conducting transactions without the need for a trusted intermediary like a bank. Smart contracts take this concept to the next level by automating and decentralizing transactions and contracts securely. They enable the creation of decentralized applications and tokens across different industries, including finance, logistics, and gaming. All smart contract transactions are stored on the blockchain, similar to other cryptocurrency transactions.

These smart contract-powered applications are often referred to as decentralized apps or “dApps.” One prominent example is decentralized finance (DeFi) technology, which aims to revolutionize the banking industry. DeFi applications empower cryptocurrency holders to engage in complex financial transactions such as savings, loans, and insurance from anywhere in the world, without the need for banks or other financial institutions to be involved in the process.

Nowadays blockchain is integrating into our daily life. Although the process is so slow, it’s realized. Besides, blockchain allows permissionless and privacy. Some tools provide it using a blockchain network. Tornado Cash is also one of these tools.

Tornado Cash is a tumbler on the Ethereum blockchain and it’s a tool for providing privacy. The tool is working EVM compatible. So, users can transfer the platform between other dApps built on Ethereum. But it also can work with BSC, Polygon, Optimism, Gnosis Chain, etc.

Tornado Cash is also open-source, but last year GitHub removed its repository because of the Lazarus Group hacking event. The platform “helped” North Korean hackers. That’s why the platform faced some problems like USA’s cases, the Circle’s freezing, etc.

Even it’s developer Alexsey Pertsev was arrested in Amsterdam. Because nobody stops the platform. They can just do it. In there, we are seeing Blockchain technology and it’s power.

How To Work Tornado Cash?

Tornado Cash is the mixer. If we talk about it using an easy way, we can imagine the platform’s system like that: There are big pools. The pools consist of different digital assets. For example, BTC, ETH, BNB, and XRP pools.

Users want to provide their digital assets. And the user has 1 BTC, in this scenario he/she must bring own assets to the BTC pool. After that BTC pool is mixing all of the assets. What happened? The user’s address is 0x1a (for example), and the 1 BTC belongs to the address. But already it isn’t. The 1 BTC belongs to 0x1B.

In this case, you can provide your privacy and nobody can track you. Because already wasn’t 1 BTC in the 0x1a address. The problem is that: You can’t convert it to fiat money. Because you need CEX (centralized exchange). If you directly send your assets from Tornado Cash to Binance, the exchange will notice that.

Overall, Tornado Cash’s work is just mixing. That’s why Tornado Cash also “helps” malicious actions. Because nobody controls the platform and nobody can block the hacker and its assets.

Because blockchain is a decentralized and permissionless system.

Is Tornado Cash Using Legal?

No, using it isn’t legal. It doesn’t apply just to Tornado Cash. If any platform works like that, regulators will block and announce them as illegal platforms. But they can’t stop Tornado Cash because nobody can manage blockchain and its data.

But about 2 months ago USA government could stopped and blocked one mixer named ChipMixer. And the mixer used for cryptocurrencies. But it was defunct 2 months ago. The mixer mostly was used by DarkWeb and its users. Today there aren’t any websites and backend servers belonging to ChipMixer.

Yes, it’s true, we can’t use it’s website. But the platform’s backend is still alive. Because its backend is blockchain.

Why Is It Unstoppable?

We already answered the question. There’s solve reason, Tornado Cash has blockchain as the backend. There’s a second factor. It’s the Ethereum blockchain because the network is the most decentralized blockchain. Because the Ethereum network has almost 500.000 nodes. I mean the network’s data is everywhere, is in all the sides of the world. If the U.S. government wants to block Tornado Cash, first of all, it must find the nodes and remove the data.
