That’s about 25% of all net inflows since U.S.-based spot Ether ETFs launched in July 2024.

Record-Breaking Inflow Momentum

On June 6, spot Ether ETFs saw $25.3 million in net inflows, marking the third straight trading week of uninterrupted capital movement into these funds. If the trend continues, the current streak could surpass $1 billion next week.

You Might Be Interested In: Elon Musk Talks About the Name of a New Memecoin!

By contrast, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a break in their inflow pattern on May 29, posting $346.8 million in outflows. Since then, Bitcoin ETF flows have been volatile.

ETH Price Surge Aligns With ETF Demand

Ether’s price is also strengthening. As of publication, ETH is trading at $2,490, up 31.23% over the past 30 days, according to CoinMarketCap. The bullish trend may be fueling investor interest in Ethereum-related ETFs.

Some analysts, including Crypto Eagles, believe Ether is mirroring historical gold fractals — possibly heading toward a $6,000 price target in the current cycle. ETH’s all-time high of $4,878 was recorded in November 2021.

Staking-Enabled ETFs Could Be Next

While spot Ether ETFs have gained traction, industry voices argue that staking functionality would greatly enhance long-term returns. On May 31, Cointelegraph reported that REX Shares had filed to launch the first Ethereum and Solana staking ETFs in the U.S., possibly within weeks.

ETF analyst James Seyffart noted that while an official launch date is still pending, REX used “regulatory workarounds” to fast-track the product.

The cryptocurrency market, while attracting attention with its high profit potential, has unfortunately also become a target for scams and fraudulent projects. This guide will walk you through how to protect your crypto investments, methods to detect fake projects, and what to consider for reliable investments step by step. How to identify scam project? Let’s examine it in detail.

1. Research the Project’s Team and Background

Before investing in any cryptocurrency, thoroughly examining the project’s team is of critical importance. Reliable projects share their teams and backgrounds transparently.

Website Check: Visit the project’s official website. Are the team members’ names, experiences, and verifiable profiles on platforms like LinkedIn available?

Community and Activities: Does the team engage with the community? Are online events, updates, or development activities observable?

A lack of transparency could be a serious red flag about the project’s reliability.

2. Examine Investors and VC (Venture Capital) Support

Having solid venture capital (VC) backing behind a project is generally an indicator of reliability.

VC Investments: Which VCs have invested in the project? Are well-known names like Binance Labs, Jump Crypto, or Pantera Capital involved?

Investment Rounds: Projects go through stages like angel investors, strategic rounds, and seed rounds. Investments received in these rounds show the project’s potential and seriousness.

Caution: If a project lacks VC support or investment information isn’t transparent, it may carry a “rug pull” (quick exit) risk. In such projects, teams might sell tokens and exit the market.

3. Analyze Token Distribution and Vesting Schedule

How tokens are distributed and the vesting (unlocking) schedule affect a project’s long-term success.

Vesting Schedule: Check when and how tokens will be released to the market. Excessive token releases can create selling pressure and negatively impact the price.

Resources: You can check this information on platforms like “cryptorank.io.”

Projects with low inflation rates generally have a more stable price structure.

4. Understand the Difference Between Market Cap and FDV (Fully Diluted Value)

Relying solely on market cap (market value) to evaluate a coin’s worth can be misleading.

Market Cap: Shows the total value of tokens in circulation.

FDV (Fully Diluted Value): Reflects the project’s potential value when all tokens are in circulation.

If the FDV is much higher than the market cap, future token releases could create price pressure. Analyzing this difference plays a key role in your investment decisions.

5. Liquidity: An Indicator of Project Reliability

Liquidity shows whether a project has a healthy ecosystem.

Liquidity Pool: In DeFi projects, the amount of money locked in the pool (TVL – Total Value Locked) reflects the project’s strength. High TVL is generally a sign of reliability.

Low Liquidity Risk: Projects with low liquidity are vulnerable to rug pulls or sudden price crashes.

Check It: Examine the project’s TVL and liquidity status on platforms like DefiLlama. For example, projects like Jito or Jupiter stand out with high TVL.

6. Methods to Detect Scam Projects

Fake projects often lure investors with promises of quick profits. To identify them:

Single Exchange Listing: If a project is listed only on one exchange, be cautious. Some exchanges allow listings for low fees, making it easier for scam projects.

Lack of Liquidity: Check the project’s liquidity using tools like DexScreener. Low liquidity is a risk signal.

Lack of Transparency: If there’s no investor info, vesting schedule, or team details, the project is likely a scam.

Exaggerated Price Spikes: Sudden and illogical price jumps may indicate pump-and-dump manipulation.

7. Things to Consider When Investing

Crypto investments are risky, so a cautious approach is essential.

Risk Management: Beginners should not risk more than 10% of their total assets. Even experienced investors shouldn’t exceed 50% of their portfolio.

Education: Before diving into complex tools like futures, make sure to get educated. You can find free resources on platforms like Coinmuhendisi.com.

Research: Always check the project’s website, team, investors, liquidity, and vesting schedule.

8. Understand the Games Behind the Scenes

In the crypto market, VCs, whales, and market makers play significant roles.

VC Movements: VCs buy tokens at low prices and may sell based on the vesting schedule. This can create price pressure.

On-Chain Data: Track exchange reserves, transfers, and whale movements with tools like Nansen. For example, a large transfer could signal selling pressure.

Knowledge is your greatest weapon against scams. Always keep an eye on current data and news.

9. Reliable Projects and Examples

Some projects stand out with strong teams and high liquidity.

Aptos: A strong team, transparent activities, and $200 million in strategic investment from recognized VCs (Binance Labs, Jump Crypto).

SUI: A project with $400 million in investment and high TVL, drawing attention.

Such projects generally carry long-term success potential.

10. Empower Yourself with Knowledge

In the cryptocurrency world, knowledge is your greatest weapon against scams. Carefully analyze the project’s team, investors, liquidity, and vesting schedule. Stay away from suspicious projects and invest only in well-researched, transparent, and solid projects. Remember, crypto is a risky field, so manage your portfolio carefully and never risk all your assets.

Memecoin launchpad PumpFun has once again transferred a large amount of Solana (SOL) to Kraken. According to data from Onchain Lens, a total of 54,113 SOL, worth approximately $7.81 million, were moved to the trading platform.

This transaction is part of a pattern in which the launchpad has offloaded 1,573,313 SOL this year alone. On January 2, Onchain Lens reported that the launchpad moved 120,000 SOL, worth approximately $22.88 million, to Kraken. Additionally, last month, another 148,759 SOL, valued at $28.22 million, were transferred. These frequent transactions often place Solana under intense selling pressure.

PumpFun and the PumpSwap Move

In a bid to repair its ecosystem reputation, PumpFun has launched PumpSwap. This new platform is a decentralized exchange (DEX) designed to provide traders and investors with a more direct and efficient way to trade meme coins.

You Might Be Interested In: Elon Musk Talks About the Name of a New Memecoin!

PumpSwap intends to reduce dependency on centralized exchanges like Kraken and hopes to improve liquidity within the Solana ecosystem.

Solana Price Outlook Amid Growing Consolidation

Despite PumpFun‘s frequent transactions, Solana‘s price has remained relatively stable. After the February 13 transfer of 148,759 SOL, CoinGape reported that SOL price dropped by 1.2% before recovering.

Many analysts have mixed opinions on whether the market will continue consolidating or if Solana will break out soon.
Some stakeholders, such as VanEck, see the coin soaring to $520 in the long term should market conditions be favorable. However, repeated large-scale transfers like those from PumpFun could serve as a headwind for the coin.

As of this publication, CoinMarketCap data shows that SOL price was trading at $143.99, up 1.60% in the last 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, Toncoin’s open interest spiked by 67%, following reports that Durov had left France.

Toncoin Open Interest Hits 42-Day High!

As of March 15, Toncoin open interest (OI) reached $169 million, representing a 67% increase compared to the previous day. According to CoinGlass data, this is the highest open interest recorded since February 1, when it stood at $171.49 million.

You Might Be Interested In: Elon Musk Talks About the Name of a New Memecoin!

TON is the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network, serving as the exclusive blockchain infrastructure for Telegram’s Mini App ecosystem.

TON Price on the Rise!

Alongside the increase in open interest, Toncoin’s price also climbed sharply. Over the past 24 hours, TON has gained 17%, trading at $3.45 at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Crypto analyst Crypto Billion noted in a March 15 X post that Toncoin is “showing signs of entering a potential long-term accumulation phase” as it stabilizes near key support levels.

However, if this rally proves to be short-lived, about $18.8 million in long positions could be liquidated if TON’s price falls back toward the $3 level it was trading at on March 14.

Durov’s Move to Dubai Triggers Market Reaction!

Reports indicate that a French court has allowed Durov to travel to Dubai, a jurisdiction known for having no extradition agreements with many countries. The crypto community views this development as significant, particularly because Durov’s August 2024 arrest in France sparked concerns over increased crackdowns on privacy-focused services. He was accused of running a platform that facilitated illicit transactions.

Similarly, following Durov’s arrest on August 24, 2024, TON’s open interest surged 32% within 24 hours, while the token’s price dropped by nearly 12%.

On January 21, Telegram announced it would cease supporting any blockchain other than The Open Network (TON) for its messenger services.

US authorities revealed that Gotbit and its executives fell for the NexFundAI (NEXF) “trap token” created by the FBI to catch market manipulators.
Serious Allegations Against Gotbit Executives!

The US Department of Justice announced that a federal grand jury had indicted Gotbit founder Aleksei Andriunin, along with executives Fedor Kedrov and Qawi Jalili, on charges of market manipulation and fraud. Authorities claim that the executives earned tens of millions of dollars between 2018 and 2024 through these tactics.

26-year-old Russian national Aleksei Andriunin is also accused by US officials of transferring part of these illegal proceeds to his personal Binance account.
Facing Up to 20 Years in Prison!

If convicted, Aleksei Andriunin could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, is taking advantage of the growing interest in celebrity-backed memecoins by launching his own crypto project.

Following the major launches of Official Trump (TRUMP) by Donald Trump on January 18 and Official Melania (MELANIA) by Melania Trump on January 19 on the Solana (SOL) network, Errol Musk announced his own memecoin project, Musk It (MUSKIT). Musk aims to raise $200 million from this project, which will fund his for-profit think tank, the Musk Institute.

Musk It Token’s Performance

The Musk It (MUSKIT) token was quietly launched on December 12, 2024, by a Middle Eastern cryptocurrency company. However, it failed to attract significant attention and has lost over 52% of its value, now trading at $0.02. According to current data, the token’s market capitalization stands at $25 million.

Errol Musk clarified that his son, Elon Musk, has no involvement in the Musk It project.

Can Musk It Succeed Without Elon Musk’s Endorsement?

Despite the influence of the Musk surname, experts believe that Musk It (MUSKIT) may struggle to succeed without Elon Musk’s direct involvement.

Blockchain expert Anndy Lian commented to Cointelegraph that he believes Musk It may not reach the same heights as the Trump family’s memecoins, as those gained traction due to their direct association with the Trump brand:

“Without Elon Musk’s personal endorsement, this project may not attract enough attention.”

Nevertheless, investors are expected to continue showing interest in memecoin projects with high return potential, viewing them as the “lottery tickets” of the crypto world.

For instance, on December 14, an investor turned $27 into $52 million by capitalizing on the PEPE token rally. Similarly, on January 6, another trader transformed a $2,000 investment into $3.2 million in just 10 hours on the Hyperfy (HYPER) metaverse token, achieving over 1,500x returns.

Why Are Memecoins So Popular?

Following dips in the crypto markets, investors often seek out new opportunities for quick gains, which leads them to memecoins. However, these tokens often experience significant volatility due to their lack of utility.

Despite this, some traders are able to capitalize on the volatility of memecoins and achieve substantial profits.

It has been reported that CoinMarketCap’s X account was hacked, and a suspicious token address was shared from the compromised account.

CoinMarketCap, one of the largest data providers in the cryptocurrency market, has become an important source for investors in the sector. Around 3:08 PM today, CoinMarketCap’s X account was hacked, and a suspicious token address was shared from the compromised account. This situation serves as a serious security warning for cryptocurrency investors and users.

Hacked Twitter Account and Shared Token Address

CoinMarketCap’s official X account, known for sharing up-to-date price information, analysis, and other essential data related to cryptocurrencies, was used to share a questionable token address. However, as there was no verification of the authenticity and security of this token address, many users were potentially exposed to a scam.

Security Risk in the Crypto World

Security is a significant concern in the cryptocurrency sector, especially when it comes to posts made through social media platforms. Hackers can take over trusted and popular accounts to spread false information about fake tokens and projects in an attempt to scam investors. Such attacks can lead to serious financial losses, especially for novice investors.
