Bridging the Gap Between Customers and Car Dealerships

South African fintech startup 6DOT50 has partnered with BTS and Serti Solutions to facilitate cryptocurrency payments for car purchases. With this collaboration, customers can now use eight different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), to buy new or used vehicles at over 1,400 car dealerships.

6DOT50, in its announcement, stated that its platform uses a coupon system to bridge the gap between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies, reducing the risks associated with crypto. The company claims to have processed a total of $1 million in crypto transactions across more than 90,000 stores.

With this innovative solution, 6DOT50 joins the ranks of South African supermarket chain Pick n Pay, which has adopted digital assets as a payment method.

Pick n Pay had begun accepting Bitcoin as a payment method in over 1,500 stores across South Africa.

Partnership for Crypto Payments

Explaining the rationale behind the partnership, 6DOT50 founder Warren Venter said:

“6DOT50 coupons offer an excellent solution for bridging the gap between crypto users and dealerships that want to receive payments in local fiat currencies. The process is fast and simple, eliminating volatility risks and integration challenges, making it easier for both parties. We are excited to integrate this payment solution into a wide network of dealerships.”

According to the statement, users can easily convert their cryptocurrencies into 6DOT50 coupons, which can then be redeemed via the Serti Solutions platform.

The South African fintech company emphasizes that this streamlined process provides a strong alternative to traditional payment methods, enabling dealerships to reach a broader customer base.
