Cyber is a prominent Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain focused on social applications and artificial intelligence. The CYBER token serves as the cornerstone of this ecosystem, functioning as both a governance and utility token. Additionally, Cyber AI offers a crypto-specific artificial intelligence model, enabling users and developers to create innovative solutions based on crypto data. In this article, we will explore what Cyber is, how it works, its token economics, staking mechanisms, and its investors in detail.

What is Cyber?

The project is a Layer 2 blockchain that integrates social dynamics into on-chain experiences. Built on the Optimism Superchain, Cyber L2 is designed specifically for social applications, prioritizing user experience with low transaction fees, fast finality, and built-in social features. Its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ensures that any Solidity-based smart contract or tool running on Ethereum can operate seamlessly on Cyber. This allows developers to leverage existing modules to rapidly scale the ecosystem.

The project was built by the CyberConnect team, which has been developing decentralized social networks, consumer applications, and innovative on-chain infrastructure since 2021. The team has a strong track record, with products recording tens of millions of transactions from millions of users.

Cyber L2 Features

Modular OP Stack: Cyber offers a modular and interoperable infrastructure. Developers can quickly build applications using existing modules.

User Experience Focused: Low fees, fast transaction finality, and social features provide a user-friendly experience.

EVM Compatibility: Ethereum-based applications can run on Cyber without modifications.

What is Cyber AI?

Cyber AI is an artificial intelligence model tailored for the crypto world. Unlike general-purpose models, it is trained exclusively on crypto data, ensuring high accuracy. It pulls data from reliable sources such as CoinGecko, RootData, Snapshot, and hundreds of thousands of crypto-focused X accounts. Cyber AI combines both on-chain and off-chain data to create a comprehensive knowledge base.

AI Use Cases

Building agents, dashboards, or products that require consistent answers and insights from crypto data.

Creating real-time crypto alerts.

Surf, a crypto assistant powered by the same APIs as Cyber AI, demonstrates the technology’s scalability.

Cyber AI Design Principles

Focused and Specific: Trained solely on crypto data, the model is unaffected by unrelated topics like sports or weather.

Constantly Updated: New crypto data is regularly indexed, eliminating the need to manage your own data pipelines.

CYBER Tokenomics

The CYBER token is the core governance and utility token of the Cyber ecosystem. Using LayerZero’s OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard, it is usable across multiple chains. With a total supply of 100 million tokens, Project is utilized for governance, staking, and accessing ecosystem products.

Token Distribution

Ecosystem Development: 34%

Private Sale: 25.12%

Team & Advisors: 15%

Community Treasury: 10.88%

Community Rewards: 9%

Coinlist Public Sale: 3%

Binance Launchpool: 3%

Cyber Staking

Token holders can stake their tokens to contribute to network security, earn economic rewards, and participate in governance processes. Staking is conducted through two methods: Vault and Staking Pool.

Cyber Vault

An EIP-4626 compliant contract.

Offers advantages like auto-compounding rewards and no minimum stake requirement.

cCYBER tokens are transferable and provide instant liquidity.

A 10% fee on rewards is charged to support the treasury.

Cyber Staking Pool

Designed for holders with at least 1,000 CYBER tokens.

Offers a more technical staking experience without auto-compounding or instant liquidity.

stCYBER tokens are non-transferable.

Unstaking

cCYBER and stCYBER holders typically face a 7-day unstaking period.

cCYBER can be swapped on a DEX for instant liquidity, while stCYBER does not offer this option.

Staking Rewards

5.5 million tokens are allocated for stakers in the initial years.

Rewards are determined through DAO governance, aiming for long-term sustainability.

CyberDAO and Governance

CyberDAO is a community-driven structure governing the ecosystem. Token holders can submit proposals and vote using cCYBER or stCYBER tokens. The CyberDAO “Working Constitution” defines the governance framework and is reviewed annually. Constitutional amendments require a 30% participation rate (quorum) and a two-thirds majority to pass.

Governance Process

Proposal Submission and Feedback (12 Days): Proposals are discussed on the Forum (forum.cyber.co) and must be approved by at least two delegates.

Voting Delay (2 Days): Delegates can delegate tokens before voting.

Voting: Conducted on the Agora platform (gov.cyber.co). Different approval thresholds apply based on proposal type:

Community Treasury: 30% quorum, 51% approval

Protocol Upgrades: 30% quorum, 76% approval

Council Appointments: 30% quorum, 51% approval

Constitutional Amendments: 30% quorum, 67% approval

Timelock (3 Days): A future Security Council can block harmful proposals.

Delegates

Token holders can delegate voting power to a delegate or become a delegate themselves. Delegates represent the community’s interests and must adhere to CyberDAO’s constitution and code of conduct.

Cyber Foundation

The Cyber Foundation, a Cayman Islands-based foundation company, acts as the legal representative of CyberDAO. It handles contracts, monitors governance processes, and develops frameworks like the Working Constitution. In the long term, the foundation’s role will decentralize, transferring responsibilities to the community.

Investors

Project boasts a strong investor portfolio: Animoca Brands, The Spartan Group, Delphi Ventures, IOSG Ventures, Amber Group, Tribe Capital, Polygon Studios, Sky9 Capital, SevenX Ventures, Protocol Labs, GGV Capital, Multicoin Capital, Hashed, Mask Network, Draper Dragon, Smrti Lab, Zoo Capital.

Founder Team

Wilson Wei – Co-Founder and CEO

Shiyu Zhang – Co-Founder

Binance Invested in Cyber Connect! 30% Increase! Binance, known as one of the most significant players in the world of cryptocurrency, continues to maintain its position as one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide, according to recent developments. Binance has recently taken action to explore and develop this area by highlighting the importance of Web3 technology.

In this context, Binance has invested in the Web3-based social network CyberConnect. After this investment, CyberConnect’s proprietary token, CYBER saw a notable increase of over 30%, and the price of the CYBER token exceeded $6.20, reaching new heights. However, no clear information has been given about the investment amount, which keeps the size of the investment a mystery.

You might like: Michael Saylor Says Bitcoin is Digital Gold

Cyber Connect stands out as a decentralized social network where users have full control. This platform offers users the opportunity to create their digital identities, share their content, and build their connections. Also, CyberConnect aims to eliminate some of the negatives brought by traditional centralized social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

The Web3 community has taken note of CyberConnect as a pioneering project, and Binance listed it in August. Following this listing, South Korean exchanges have started trading the CYBER token, and it has garnered substantial investor interest.

Previous investors in the Cyber Connect project include well-known companies such as Delphi Digital, Protocol Labs, Tribe Capital, IOSG Ventures, Amber Group, Polygon Studios, Draper Dragon, Animoca Brands, Multicoin Capital, and Hashed.

The cryptocurrency and Web3 community eagerly await the future growth and successes that CyberConnect will achieve following this investment, interpreting it as a sign of strong support in the Web3 world.

On 12 August 2023, the CyberConnect project official, where we held our AMA event as Coinengineer, answered our questions and gave information about the project.

AMA content and details can be found here.

CyberConnect project officials, whom we first asked to introduce themselves, stated the following.

I am Yillan! At CyberConnect, I lead Global Development across different regional markets. Before CyberConnect, I have experience in startups, VCs, and NGOs and studied economics, political theory, and continental philosophy at the University of Hong Kong and the University of Warwick

But our event started with some introductory questions that we, as Coinengineer, asked the CyberConnect project official the questions asked and the answers given are as follows:

Q1: What is the main purpose of CyberConnect?

C1: For anyone new here, let me first quickly introduce CyberConnect:

CyberConnect is a multi-chain web3 social network that enables developers to build social applications that allow users to own their digital identity, content, connections, and interactions.

Leveraging the ERC-4337 (account abstraction) standard, CyberConnect radically reduces the complexity of using crypto networks and enables decentralized social experiences that rival Web2. Already the most extensive ERC-4337 smart contract wallet system, CyberConnect, and its 50+ ecosystem projects are becoming a gateway for mass users to enter Web3.

CyberConnect is also the oldest and largest decentralized social networking protocol of web3. It has 1.25M on-chain user profiles and 200,000 monthly active wallets have processed more than 16 million transactions.
What we solve is that the current social networking landscape is dominated by a limited number of profit-driven companies whose primary focus is their financial interests. As a result, these platforms often leverage user data and manipulate content, communities, and users at scale to maximize revenue.

The centralization of social network data creates an ecosystem that unfairly monetizes user data and stifles innovation, preventing developers from delivering new and innovative social products and features. The complexities associated with Web3 and blockchain have prevented many users from entering the space.

CyberConnect’s mission is to create long-lasting on-chain connections through the power of its network.

Developers can build innovative social applications where users own their identities and data, while content creators can grow their audiences in a fairer, more direct, and decentralized environment. And we want to reduce all the technology complexities and make it available to everyone in the mass population in everyday life. We empower everyone on the web.
For developers: Easily build innovative web3 social applications without worrying about infrastructure and cold start issues

For Creators: Create content that they can own the distribution and monetization of so they can grow their audience in a fairer, more direct, and decentralized environment.
For Users: Easily get involved in web3 through social experiences around discovering content, community, and social events while owning their digital identity, connections, and interactions. A bit of a big background story for our team. So you understand why we’re doing this.

At CyberConnect, we are a Silicon Valley-based team of serial entrepreneurs with a 7-year commitment to social, web3, and blockchain.
In 2017, the same team founded Lino blockchain and built DLive.tv, the largest blockchain-based live streaming platform. We reached over 1 million daily active users for DLive and partnered exclusively with PewDiePie!!!!, the most subscribed YouTuber at the time. BitTorrent acquired Lino and DLive in early 2020.

As you can see, we are already working with Lino and DLive to build infrastructure for a better content economy and ultimately meaningful social experiences. The same value system brought us here for CyberConnect.

And also this Binance research report: https://research.binance.com/en/projects/cyberconnect

Q2: What does ERC4337 mean? Why does Vitalik care so much about it? What are Vitalik’s thoughts (if any) about your product?

C2: ERC4337 is an improvement proposal for Ethereum. Since existing wallets are not capable of programmability, people started developing smart contracts to act like wallets.

Since smart contract wallets, we can do many considerations
– Recover our access to the wallet without compromising security
– Pay gas with any token (not ETH on Ethereum)- Pay gas on Multichain, think you can buy an NFT on Polygon with your BNB?

For a long time, Vitalik, the co-founder of Ethereum, thinks we need ERC4337 wallets for mass adoption. We completely agree on this, and our thesis is that mass adoption is achieved when people make meaningful connections on the web3. That’s why we are here!
It provides a true multi-chain user experience that rivals web2 and is the key to getting the next billion mass users on web3. ERC-4337 is one of the proposals on Ethereum that has received public support from Vitalik.

Check out Vitalik’s tweet for that:

The big really valuable and necessary thing that ERC-4337 provides for account abstraction is a *decentralized fee market* for user operations going into smart contract wallets.https://t.co/JUigSO5OtW

— vitalik.eth (@VitalikButerin) October 1, 2022

CyberConnect currently has 300 thousand smart contract accounts. This makes CyberConnect the world’s largest ERC-4337-compliant wallet system.

For more up-to-date data, visit this Sixdegree ERC-4337 dashboard: https://dune.com/sixdegree/account-abstraction-overview%3E and

CyberConnect Dune analytics:

https://dune.com/cyberconnecthq/cyberaccount-cyberconnects-4337-smart-account

With social and ERC-4337 (account abstraction) smart accounts, CyberConnect brings the real use case of web3 to mass adoption.

Q3. What is the benefit of Cyber Token? Do you think Web3 Social is the next trend after De-Fi and NFTs?

A3: CYBER, the native utility and governance token of the CyberConnect protocol, can be used for the following functions:
Governance: CYBER token holders have voting power and can delegate their voting power to others. Protocol improvements are decided based on voting power.

Pay for CyberID: Used to make payments when purchasing CyberID.

CyberAccount gas token: price meter for all transactions within CyberAccount on EVM-compliant chains and used as a means of payment for gas fees.

CyberDAO will introduce more Cyber use cases.

The total CYBER supply is 100,000,000 and the circulating supply after listing will be 11,038,000 (~11.04% of the total token supply). In total, 9% of Cyber will be given to community rewards and 34% of Cyber will be allocated to ecosystem development.

CYBER is currently in the Binance Launchpool and is scheduled to be listed on Binance on 15 August 2023 at noon (UTC).

Currently, you can deposit BNB, TUSD, and FDUSD on Binance Launchpool to receive some of the 3,000,000 Cyber rewards:

https://launchpad.binancezh.info/en/launchpool/CYBER_BNB

About Web3 social, we think it will be a key piece for the general mass adoption of Web3! Here’s why.
Crypto has long awaited some real use cases that appeal to mass users and go beyond single-player trading.
CyberConnect enables developers to deliver web3 social features to a variety of use cases spanning gaming, metaverse, community building, co-working, music jamming, and more.

Just like how Facebook brought users to the internet, but also e-commerce helped the adoption of CyberConnect and web3 social, it will likely bring the next billion users to crypto who aren’t interested in commerce and degenerate stuff.
Let’s go!

If you want to learn more about CYBER. We’ve seen this document made and distributed by the community. You can take a look at it.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/17NWwktn8ibasd3PCrkpuI2eowEeA9_k1D41LG8xRbNo/edit?usp=sharing

Q4. How many people use CyberConnect? Globally, CyberConnect is extremely popular. What are your plans for Turkey?

C4: First of all we aim for mass adoption and we are one of the most competitive teams for mass adoption. As I mentioned, we are the largest decentralized social network on the web3. Currently, 1.25 million people have printed their Cyber Profiles. 1.8 Million content created.
Over 2,500 verified organizations including Arbitrum, DyDx, Rarible, BNB Chain, and CoinMarketCap have created CyberProfiles to build their web3 native audiences.

More than 50+ dapps use CyberConnect’s infrastructure. This means you only need your CyberAccount for more than 50+ app uses. Also, many more to come!

Turkey is a special region at the top of our priority list! That’s why we’re doing this AMA with the incredible Coin Muhendisi community! We want to be here to share the celebration of our CYBER launch on Binance with you!

We are following Turkey closely and soon you will see our team and us here for real!

Be sure to show us around and join our meetings for some special edition localized products! Maybe a boat trip on the Bosphorus.

Q5: Community Award 1 has been distributed. Will there be more awards? What should we do to be eligible?

C5: Season 1 of the CyberConnect Community Rewards – a total of 2.4M CYBER will be claimed – will drop on 15 August, the day CYBER starts trading on Binance.

Anyone can now visit https://cyber.co/rewards to check their eligibility and allocation.

If you missed the Season 1 rewards, participate in the CyberConnect Season 2 community rewards by joining our CyberTrek campaign and becoming early adopters and ambassadors for CyberAccount and the upcoming CyberWallet.
CyberTrek:

To celebrate CyberConnect’s V3 (ERC-4337 Account Abstraction) upgrades, CyberConnect introduced CyberTrek, a two-month journey with $1.8M in prizes and six top blockchain partners including Polygon, Linea, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and opBNB. CyberTrek offers web3 users their first experience with account abstraction through CyberAccount, an ERC-4337 compliant smart contract account system, and early access to CyberConnect’s future ERC-4337 compliant wallet: CyberWallet. Visit link3.to/cybertrek to get started!

Following the questions asked by Coinmuhendisi within the scope of the project and answered by the CyberConnect official, 10 people’s questions were selected among Twitter users and Telegram users within the scope of the event and the questions were answered by the CyberConnect official.

TWITTER QUESTIONS

Q1: In the context of data privacy and security Q1.In what ways does CyberConnect enable users to have control over their social graph data while having a personalized experience?

A1: CyberConect enables users to own their data by utilizing the blockchain. Everything is stored in a decentralized way and linked to the wallet address. So users own their digital identity, content, connections, and interactions. And they can move freely without losing different applications.

Now with CyberConnect v3 and CyberAccount ERC-4337 smart contract wallet system, this is even better because it is multi-chain and people can interact with all the different chains without changing the network or getting different gas tokens.

This makes the whole experience better because there is a holistic identity between applications, ecosystems, and now chains. Experiences will be more personalized and also contextualized.

Also for privacy, it is at the top of our priority. That’s why we are working closely with top industry partners to introduce zk and other solutions into the social space. So you can enjoy the benefits of crypto and web3, but at the same time, you can control your data and have options to keep some information private on special occasions. We are very excited. But we can’t reveal partner names yet.

I think I answered this difficult question well! We solve real problems. Come to learn more and stay tuned!

Q2: CyberConnect v3 has three basic components. – CyberAccount, – CyberGraph, – CyberNetwork, Can you explain these 3 basic components in detail? What are their roles in the CyberConnect project?

C2: Let’s keep it short because there are too many details and techniques:

CyberAccount is an ERC-4337-compliant identity infrastructure;

CyberGraph is a censorship-resistant database to record users’ content + social links

CyberNetwork is a gas-efficient and scalable network to bring CyberConnect to the world.

But understand one thing, all of these things coming together allows you to have your digital identity and data + web2-like UX and get up and running with ease.

Q3: What is the difference between web2 and web3 social networking technologies? How does CyberConnect aim to create a different system with web3?

C3: Problems with Web2 Social – 2 sided

* Users:

Censorship

Arbitrary rules and de-platform station ○

Black box and biased algorithm. ○

Lost Creative Value

Redundant and siloed identity data

* Developers:

Hard bootstrapping

Huge and unfriendly attendant

Stifled innovation

In Web2, data is captured by servers/companies. They have ultimate control over your assets
However, at Web3, your data belongs to you. You have ultimate control over your assets. Therefore, the best social media is only possible when you hold your content. It is possible with blockchain, which we leverage from Web3.
Web3 Social brings ownership but offers even more
– Freedom of Switching and Control
– Holistic identity and better experiences (also giant race for this)
– Monetisation – better and fairer benefits:

Q4. What is CyberTrek and what is it designed for? How can we experiment with a Gas-Free and Network-Free User Experience with CyberAccount?

C4: CyberTrek:

Q5: What will we see in the future?

A5: This is our future roadmap:

TELEGRAM QUESTIONS

Q1: I Want to Own CYBER NFT, So Can You Share Some Information? About CYBER NFT and What are the Main Benefits and Uses of these NFTs?

C1: The ownership of our protocol will transition over time to CyberDAO, which we intend as the project’s community and society. The community will then be able to decide on future developments in our project, the ecosystem, and the future of web3. This is why Cyber is not just a token. It is also a governance and utility token. So, hold on to your CYBER and be a real part of this community Let’s build the future together!

Q2: Why should a user keep $CYBER tokens in their Wallet for a long time?

A2: Let’s do it and see who the real Hodler is.
We are already the biggest social protocol on web3 → And we are going to one of the biggest social networks in the world.

If we consider the publicly traded “web2 companies” operating in the social sector and their corresponding market capitalizations at the moment.
Meta (Facebook): 800.000.000.000 $
Pinterest: 18.000.000.000.000 US dollars
Snapchat: 17.000.000.000 $

Compared to CyberConnect’s expected market capitalization at TGE, community estimate: $200,000,000 – $300,000,000
This gives CYBER at least 50x – 100x upside if we compare it to web2 social media companies even at the low end.
This is not my words btw. I saw this in the community CYBER analysis document.https://docs.google.com/document/d/17NWwktn8ibasd3PCrkpuI2eowEeA9_k1D41LG8xRbNo/edit?usp=sharing

Q3: What is the background of your project, do you think the qualifications and experience of your team can support the long-term development of the project?

A3: About our team:

We are a Silicon Valley-based team of serial entrepreneurs with a 7-year long-term commitment to social, web3, and blockchain.

In 2017, the same team founded Lino blockchain and built DLive.tv, the largest blockchain-based live streaming platform. We reached over 1 million daily active users for DLive and partnered exclusively with PewDiePie, the most subscribed YouTuber at the time. BitTorrent acquired Lino and DLive in early 2020.

As you can see, we are already working with Lino and DLive to build infrastructure for a better content economy and ultimately meaningful social experiences. The same value system brought us here for CyberConnect. But our team also includes our incredible investors:

CyberConnect has successfully raised two funding rounds totaling over $25 million backed by leading investors such as Multicoin Capital, Animoca Brands, Sky9, Binance Labs, Delphi Digital, Protocol Labs, IOSG Ventures, Tribe Capital, Spartan Group, Polygon Studios, Lattice, Hashed, GGV Capital, Amber Group.

Q4: Can you tell us about 2-3 features of your project?

C4: This a simple question but let’s summarise some important points:

The CYBER token is scheduled to be listed and starts trading on Binance on 15 August 2023 at noon UTC and users can already farm 3M CYBER on Binance Launchpool.

Season 1 of the CyberConnect Community Rewards – totaling 2.4M CYBER – will be released at the same time. For more highlights on the token, check out this comprehensive analysis circulating in the community: (https://docs.google.com/document/d/17NWwktn8ibasd3PCrkpuI2eowEeA9_k1D41LG8xRbNo/edit?usp=sharing)

CyberConnect is the largest ERC-4337 compliant (Account Abstraction) smart contract wallet system in the world, radically abstracting crypto complexities. It provides user experiences rivaling Web2 and makes Web3 ready for mass adoption. (https://dune.com/cyberconnecthq/cyberaccount-cyberconnects-4337-smart-account)

CyberConnect is the largest and oldest decentralized social networking protocol on the web3. It has 1.25M on-chain user-profiles and 400,000 active wallets with over 16 million transactions per month. More than 2,300 verified organizations, including Arbitrum, DyDx, Rarible, BNB Chain, and CoinMarketCap, have created their CyberProfile to build their web3 native audience.

CyberTrek is a two-month journey to celebrate CyberConnect’s V3 (4337) upgrades and has $1.8M in prizes and features six top blockchain partners including Polygon, Linea, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, and Arbitrum. This gives most users the first experience of smart contract wallets.

CyberConnect is backed by Multicoin and Animoca Brands, among other top investors, and has raised over $25 million since its inception. In May, CYBER’s public sale on Coinlist sold out in less than 30 minutes, raising USD 1.80M where the CYBER price was USD 5.4 USD.

More than 50 projects are usingCyberConnect to build social features for various use cases such as games, social media, marketplaces, and more. CyberConnect’s flagship social app [Link3](https://link3.to/) has 940K monthly active users.

Q5: CyberConnect announced its launch on BuildOnBase and said that we can now create accounts on the L2 network, can there be a continuation of big projects like this, are there any new partnerships you have agreed on or announced? Should we be excited?

A5: There are a lot of things coming up! So they are not announced yet and I can’t say.

But here are some current ones:
Over 2,500 verified organizations, including Arbitrum, DyDx, Rarible, BNB Chain, and CoinMarketCap, have built their CyberProfile to build their web3 native audience. More than 50 projects are using CyberConnect to build social features for various use cases such as games, social media, marketplaces, and more.
For CyberConnect v3 and CyberTrek: Polygon, Linea, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and opBNB.

And some extra highlights:
Mocaverse: The PFP NFT collection of the Animoca Brands ecosystem. Mocaverse and CyberConnect will empower Mocaverse NFT holders to build their Web3 social reputation, make meaningful connections, and co-create value through various aspects of Mocaverse, including Moca XP, Realm Tickets, and NFTs.

XMTP: An interoperable web3 inbox. Integration of CyberConnect into XMTP-supported messaging applications.
Livepeer: A video infrastructure protocol. Integration of CyberConnect into Livepeer-supported video streaming applications.
