Brendan Blumer, CEO of EOS, which raised $4 billion and became one of the largest ICOs of 2018, purchased property worth $172.8 million. EOS, which was pre-sold at $4.5 at the time, is currently trading at $0.5.

Did EOS Disappoint?

Brendan Blumer, CEO of EOS, caused a stir on social media after making this property investment. The pre-sale, which began at $4.5 in 2018, raised $4 billion. EOS made a big splash at the time. After the presale, EOS reached an all-time high (ATH) of $22. Seven years later, it is currently trading at $0.5. The drop from these highs to the current levels has caused significant disappointment among investors. Additionally, CEO Brendan Blumer’s 172 million dollar property investment has been widely discussed on social media. EOS investors attribute the coin’s prolonged stagnation at these levels and its lag behind the crypto market to the CEO. The backlash continues to grow following the CEO’s property investment.

Can EOS Return to Its Previous Levels?

EOS, one of the former major altcoins, has been on a downward trend for quite some time. It reached the $1.5 level during the rise in December 2024, but following the subsequent decline, it is currently trading at around $0.5. The CEO’s property investment was strongly criticised by investors. Given the declining confidence among EOS investors during this period, the likelihood of a new upward trend is currently seen as quite low.
