According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, Buterin’s main portfolio consists of the following:

• 240,042 ETH – The main asset of the wallet
• Aave Ethereum (AETHWETH)
• WhiteRock (WHITE)
• Moo Deng (MOODENG)
• Wrapped Ethereum (WETH)

The total asset value is approximately $1.04 billion at the current ETH price. This figure surpassed the billion-dollar mark again just a few days ago after crossing the $4,000 level.

ETF Demand is Growing

The rise in ETH’s price appears to be fueled by strong investor interest in spot Ethereum ETFs. According to Arkham data, $461 million flowed into ETH ETFs in a single day. In the same period, Bitcoin ETFs saw inflows of $404 million. Farside Investors data shows that, over the last five trading days, US-based spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a total net inflow of $326.6 million. This indicates that Ethereum is attracting increasing interest from institutional investors.

Ethereum Price Expectations

For $ETH, which broke our previous peak levels of $4,100 with a strong candle, the next target will now be a new ATH. In my previous analyses, those who followed $ETH achieved around 15% profit after reclaiming the $3,715 region. If it maintains stability above $4,100, this area will become a support level. Our next support will then be around the previous peak of $3,940.

Buterin’s First Billion-Dollar Fortune

Vitalik Buterin first achieved billionaire status in May 2021 when ETH surpassed $3,000. At that time, he owned 333,500 ETH and his portfolio value rose to $1.029 billion. However, in a 2018 statement, he mentioned that he had never owned more than 0.9% of the total ETH supply and that his wealth had “never come close” to $1 billion.

A Cautious Message from Buterin

While the recent increase in Ethereum treasuries is seen as having a positive impact on the price, Buterin warns against being overly optimistic. In an interview last week, he said, “If you woke me up three years from now and told me the reason for ETH’s collapse was the treasuries, my guess would basically be that somehow they turned it into an overleveraged game.”
