Native USDe Launch on TON Blockchain

Revealed during the Token2049 event in Dubai on May 1, the collaboration will see Ethena’s USDe and Staked USDe (sUSDe) deployed directly on the TON blockchain. The staked version will be known as tsUSDe within the TON ecosystem, offering Telegram users easy access to USD-denominated yields.

This rollout includes support across two key wallet types:

• Custodial wallets embedded within the Telegram app

• Non-custodial wallets, such as TON Space, directly tied to the TON network

Expanding Global Reach Through Messaging

Ethena called the move “one of its most impactful initiatives to date,” emphasizing Telegram’s massive footprint in emerging markets across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. With direct integration into a globally used messaging platform, Ethena aims to make stablecoin usage more seamless and accessible than ever before.

The rollout will be gradual throughout May, with three major components coming online:

• Support within Telegram’s built-in custodial wallet

• Compatibility with non-custodial solutions like TON Keeper and TON Space

• Use within TON-based decentralized applications (TON Apps)

Yield-Earning Dollars Inside Telegram

By deploying tsUSDe directly on TON, Ethena enables Telegram users to interact with stablecoin-based products without ever leaving the app. The goal is to both boost wallet adoption and deliver DeFi yield opportunities in a familiar and user-friendly environment.

This partnership reflects Ethena’s ambition to build global financial infrastructure and move beyond being just a stablecoin provider—ushering in broader access to digital dollar-based savings tools for millions around the world.
