Starting the day with altcoin announcements, Upbit, the biggest bitcoin exchange in South Korea, said it would be listing a new altcoin and identified Galxe (GAL).

Upbit revealed it would list GAL on KRW trading pairs:

“On July 11, 2024, GAL will be added to the KRW market on Upbit. Listing for GAL is planned on the KRW trading pair on the Ethereum network. Be sure to check the network before depositing digital assets. Deposits and withdrawals via networks other than those specified are not supported.”

Apart from Upbit, news on listings came from South Korean stock market Bithumb. By now, Bithumb, the second-biggest bitcoin exchange in South Korea, has listed PolyMesh (POLYX).

Bithumb said POLYX would be listed on KRW trading pairs. POLYX will be entered on the KRW market on Bithumb on July 11, 2024.

POLYX lists the KRW trading pair on the Polymesh network. Not supported are deposits made via different networks.

GAL and POLYX rates started to climb following the news of the listing. GAL returned some of its gains, even though they increased by up to 30%. Conversely, POLYX climbed by 12%.
