On August 26, the analyst known as ‘HODL15Capital’ took to X to describe the upcoming monthly close as “arguably one of the most intriguing in Bitcoin’s history.” Highlighting a potential technical pattern on the monthly chart, the analyst noted that this formation, based on previous price movements, could indicate a possible reversal in Bitcoin’s price trajectory.

Cryptocurrencies Might Enter Consolidation Before an Uptrend

Alex Kuptsikevich, an analyst at FXPro, commented on the monthly pattern, pointing out that Bitcoin’s recovery following an early-month decline might be significant:

“This pattern might signal the end of the bearish trend we’ve observed since the all-time high in March.”

However, Kuptsikevich cautioned that the month isn’t over yet and that it’s crucial to watch how the pattern fully develops.

“We’ve seen the strength of the bulls in Bitcoin, as the price quickly bounced back after the initial drop earlier in the month,” Kuptsikevich stated. The analyst suggested that if Bitcoin reaches a new all-time high, a move towards $110,000 could be on the cards. He emphasized the importance of the $68,000 level, believing it could be a key determinant of Bitcoin’s future direction. Nevertheless, Kuptsikevich warned that Bitcoin might undergo a prolonged period of consolidation before resuming an upward trend.

Additionally, Henrik Andersson, an analyst at Apollo Crypto, argued that technical analysis is currently less effective. According to Andersson, market movements are primarily driven by news events and investor sentiment. Bitcoin has been trading within the $56,000 to $65,000 range for a while, and Andersson believes that a decisive breakout from this range could establish a clear direction. Meanwhile, many crypto investors are focusing their attention on price movements in altcoins.
