Investor behavior in the cryptocurrency market has shown a remarkable shift recently. In addition to Bitcoin and altcoin-focused trading, interest in tokenized commodities is also growing rapidly. Especially amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, investors are turning to alternative instruments that allow on-chain access to global macro assets. Meanwhile, oil trading on Hyperliquid has become the second most preferred investment by investors after Bitcoin.

Oil Trading on Hyperliquid Reaches Record Levels!

One of the clearest examples of this trend is the oil trading activity observed on the Hyperliquid platform. According to platform data, the trading volume of perpetual futures contracts based on West Texas Intermediate crude oil (WTI) exceeded $1.6 billion in the last 24 hours. As a result, the CL-USDC contract has become the second most active market on the platform in terms of trading volume, following Bitcoin.

Geopolitical Tensions Boost Demand for Oil

Global developments appear to play a significant role in the rising interest in tokenized commodities. While supply concerns have emerged in energy markets due to tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran, oil prices briefly surged to around $120 per barrel.

Prices later pulled back somewhat after US President Donald Trump stated that the conflict could end soon. However, during this period, investors’ shift toward commodities such as oil for hedging purposes stood out.

The rapid rise in popularity of oil on Hyperliquid also recalls a similar trend previously seen on the platform. Earlier, silver-based contracts had also become high-volume macro investment instruments.

Crypto Infrastructure Offers an Alternative to Global Markets

The demand for tokenized assets also reveals a change in the ways investors access global markets. Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan recalled that following Donald Trump’s announcement of military operations against Iran, while traditional markets were closed, investors continued trading using crypto infrastructure.

This situation highlights an important advantage provided by crypto-based market infrastructure. Through tokenized commodities, investors can gain direct on-chain exposure to global macro assets such as oil, gold, or silver while remaining within the blockchain ecosystem.

Boundaries Between Traditional Finance and Crypto Are Blurring

The tokenization trend is not limited to crypto investors alone. Traditional financial institutions are also trying to adapt to this transformation. In this context, Nasdaq has initiated a collaboration with Payward (the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken) to develop a system that integrates tokenized stock markets with blockchain networks.

The goal of this initiative is to modernize the buying, selling, and settlement processes of securities, creating a more efficient and accessible financial infrastructure.

According to experts, the increasing interest in tokenized commodities such as oil may represent a temporary rotation in investor preferences. However, some analysts believe this could be a sign of a structural change, indicating that as crypto markets mature, global finance will become increasingly intertwined with blockchain-based systems.

With the tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran, investor behavior in the cryptocurrency market is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Moving beyond speculation focused solely on digital assets, investors are now showing much stronger interest in commodity-linked derivative products. The latest example of this trend is the record open interest level reached in oil perpetual futures contracts traded on the Hyperliquid platform.

Record Open Interest in Oil Contracts

The open interest in the CL-USDC oil-linked perpetual contract on Hyperliquid has reached $50 million, marking an all-time high. While open interest remained relatively limited in mid-January, it gained significant momentum toward the end of February, showing a sharp rise. When examining the chart, a gradual increase throughout the month is followed by a parabolic surge in the most recent days.

This increase in open interest indicates fresh capital inflows to the market and growing appetite for leveraged positions. In crypto derivatives markets especially, open interest data is considered an important leading indicator of trend strength and investor expectations.

Strong Rise in Oil Prices Played a Major Role

As of the time this article was written, oil prices have surged 5.83% on a daily basis, reaching $82.51 per barrel. This strong rally demonstrates increased volatility in energy markets due to the conflict and shows that investors are seeking to profit from short-term price movements.

The fact that an commodity like oil — highly sensitive to macroeconomic and geopolitical developments — is attracting such intense interest on crypto derivatives platforms reveals that market participants are no longer limiting themselves to Bitcoin and altcoins alone.

Convergence of Crypto and Traditional Market Dynamics

The rising demand for commodity-linked perpetual contracts demonstrates that crypto markets are becoming increasingly integrated with traditional financial instruments. Thanks to stablecoin-collateralized oil contracts, investors can take positions on energy market price movements without needing access to classic futures exchanges.

This development highlights that the crypto ecosystem is evolving beyond mere digital asset speculation into an alternative derivatives infrastructure that provides access to global macro themes. The record open interest level can be seen as a concrete indicator of this transformation.

Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE has drawn attention by posting gains during a period when the broader market remains weak. Over the past 24 hours, HYPE has risen by approximately 5%, positively diverging at a time when Bitcoin and the wider crypto market have been moving sideways or trending lower. The rally is primarily driven by increasing platform revenues, accelerating token burns, and expectations of a tightening supply. While Bitcoin has been fluctuating between $60,000 and $69,000 amid weakened market flows, investors have started rotating into revenue-generating altcoins with declining supply. On the Hyperliquid side, rising trading volume and the burn mechanism have created a strong demand narrative for HYPE, further supported by a noticeable increase in user inflows to the decentralized exchange over the weekend.

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, investors have turned to decentralized platforms to take long positions in futures and commodity derivatives linked to traditional finance. This shift boosted trading volume and fee revenues on Hyperliquid, accelerating the upward move in HYPE’s price. Increased platform activity and bullish derivatives positioning have been among the core drivers behind HYPE’s recent gains.

Rising Trading Volume and Fee Revenues Accelerated HYPE Burns

High trading volume—particularly in oil futures—on the Hyperliquid platform significantly increased protocol fee revenues. As geopolitical developments intensified activity in commodities and energy derivatives, trading activity on the platform surged, directly impacting HYPE’s tokenomics. Hyperliquid’s fee model allocates a portion of platform revenues to automatic HYPE buybacks and burns, meaning that higher trading volumes directly reduce circulating supply.

According to DefiLlama data, the protocol generated:

Approximately $1.77 million in fees over the last 24 hours

Over $10.07 million in fees in the past 7 days

Thanks to strong revenue flows, around $9.22 million worth of HYPE tokens were burned in the past week alone. This represents a 20.4% increase compared to the previous period, highlighting the acceleration of the deflationary mechanism. The rising burn rate has reduced circulating supply and created upward price pressure. As trading volume increases, the burn amount grows proportionally, strengthening the “revenue-backed supply contraction” narrative for HYPE. This structure has boosted investor interest and contributed to the token’s relative outperformance against the broader market.

Supply Squeeze Narrative Gains Strength

Another key factor attracting investors to HYPE is the renewed “supply squeeze” narrative gaining momentum across the altcoin market. On the Hyperliquid side, volume-driven token burns and the slowing of emissions in some major projects have increased demand for assets with limited circulating supply. This has renewed interest in revenue-generating tokens with active burn mechanisms.

This week’s expected token unlock of roughly $316 million worth of HYPE did not initially create the strong selling pressure the market had anticipated. The unlocked amount corresponds to approximately 2.7% of total circulating supply, reinforcing expectations that net supply growth will remain limited.

Investors believe that with the acceleration of the burn mechanism, a significant portion of newly unlocked tokens could be absorbed relatively quickly. In previous unlock events, the actual net selling pressure proved lower than expected, helping to contain panic selling ahead of this unlock. As a result, market participants have increasingly priced in the scenario that supply growth may have a limited impact on price, while the burn mechanism could act as a balancing force.

HYPE Outperforms Bitcoin

In recent days, increased user inflows to the Hyperliquid platform—particularly concentrated in derivatives trading—have helped HYPE outperform Bitcoin. Rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have increased uncertainty in traditional markets, prompting some investors to shift toward decentralized derivatives platforms. This shift boosted Hyperliquid’s trading volumes and indirectly increased token burns, supporting HYPE’s price. The rally in HYPE is directly tied to rising trading volumes, strong fee revenues, and an accelerating token burn mechanism. Despite the upcoming token unlock, expectations of limited net supply growth have reduced concerns about selling pressure. As long as platform activity remains elevated, supply squeeze dynamics and burn data are likely to remain key drivers of HYPE’s price action.

Dreamcash is a self-custodial mobile trading application built on the Hyperliquid infrastructure. It aims to provide users with the speed and user experience of centralized exchanges combined with the transparency of decentralized finance (DeFi). All transactions are settled on-chain, while users retain full control of their assets in their own wallets.

The platform offers a wide range of products, including spot crypto trading, perpetual contracts, and selected on-chain markets. Up to 40x leverage, fast order execution, and Hyperliquid’s on-chain order book structure are among Dreamcash’s core technical advantages.

What Does Dreamcash Provide?

Dreamcash is a trading application operating on the Hyperliquid infrastructure, featuring a self-custodial structure and on-chain settlement. It combines spot and derivatives products, up to 40x leverage, markets linked to real-world assets, AI-powered insights, and multi-platform access.

Rather than focusing on eliminating institutional capital load, it adopts a model that targets providing speed, control, and transparency to individual users. Positioned with the claim of combining centralized exchange experience with DeFi principles, Dreamcash stands out as a mobile-first on-chain trading platform.

How to Use Dreamcash?

To join Dreamcash, it is sufficient to download the application and connect a crypto wallet. The registration process is simpler compared to traditional exchanges, as asset custody occurs in the user’s own wallet rather than on the platform.

After downloading the app and connecting their wallet, users can start trading in spot, perpetual, or HIP-3 markets.

Next-Generation Trading Experience on Hyperliquid with Dreamcash

Dreamcash is a front-end application that works directly integrated with the Hyperliquid network. Hyperliquid is a Layer-1 blockchain infrastructure with a fully on-chain order book, supporting 24/7 spot and derivatives trading.

Thanks to this structure:

Spot crypto pairs can be bought and sold.

Perpetual contracts can be traded with up to 40x leverage.

Selected on-chain markets under HIP-3 become accessible.

Since the entire settlement process occurs on-chain, transparency and verifiability are prioritized. At the same time, the user experience is designed to be fast and fluid, similar to centralized exchanges.

Which Assets Are Traded on Dreamcash?

All spot crypto pairs and perpetual contracts listed on Hyperliquid can be traded through Dreamcash. In addition, selected on-chain markets under HIP-3 are also available on the platform.

Furthermore, the platform is not limited to crypto assets only. It also provides access to certain markets linked to real-world assets. For example, markets such as AAPL/USDT and AMZN/USDT are mentioned as tradable. This allows users to manage both crypto and traditional finance-linked assets through a single interface.

Multi-Platform Support

Dreamcash is not limited to a mobile application. Users can access their accounts through:

iOS and Android mobile apps

Web interface

Desktop application

This multi-platform support enables seamless trading across devices.

Self-Custodial Structure and On-Chain Settlement

One of Dreamcash’s most important features is being self-custodial. That is, users do not entrust their funds to the platform; they trade by connecting their wallets. In this model, private key control remains entirely with the user.

Additionally, since all transactions are settled on-chain:

Order book activities are verifiable

Transactions can be transparently tracked

Custody risk is minimized

This approach is fully aligned with the core principles of decentralized finance.

Leveraged Trading and Performance

Dreamcash offers up to 40x leverage on perpetual contracts. This feature allows opening larger positions with lower margin. However, leverage also increases the risk level.

The platform’s performance claim is based on Hyperliquid’s trading engine. Fast order transmission, deep liquidity, and reliable execution infrastructure target a low-latency trading experience.

AI-Powered Insights

Dreamcash optionally provides users with AI-supported market signals and idea suggestions. This system aims to help detect volatile tokens early. However, these tools serve as decision-support mechanisms; the final investment decision belongs to the user.

Easy On/Off-Ramping and Global Payment Methods

The platform aims to simplify fiat on/off-ramping processes. It is stated that cash deposits and withdrawals can be completed in seconds. Compatibility with global payment methods aims to facilitate fund transfers for users.

Reward System and Dreamdrop Mechanism

Activities on Dreamcash are rewarded. Trading volume and platform usage contribute to the Dreamdrop leaderboard. Additionally, users who invite new users through the referral system can earn points. This structure aims to incentivize community growth.

An Alternative Experience to Centralized Exchanges

With the motto “Better than CEX,” Dreamcash aims to offer an alternative model to centralized exchanges. The goal is to combine the speed and user interface quality of centralized exchanges with the transparency of decentralized infrastructure.

In this context, Dreamcash brings together:

On-chain transparency

User wallet control

Institutional-grade trading engine performance

Dreamcash Investors

Dreamcash has received institutional support at a strategic level. The organization among the platform’s investors strengthens its position within the ecosystem.

Investor:

Tether – Corporate investor (Corporation), Strategic stage (Strategic), Tier 2

Dreamcash Team

Behind Dreamcash are experienced individuals in blockchain and product development. The core team consists of the following names:

Mark Borsten – Co-Founder

ND-X – Builder

The crypto ecosystem has become an integral part of the global financial system thanks to decentralized finance, smart contracts, and digital assets. However, a critical topic often overlooked in the background of this rapid transformation is the foundational security infrastructure of crypto assets. So what is qONE (QONE), and what does it provide?

Today, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchain networks rely on classic public-key cryptography systems such as RSA, ECDSA, and DSA. While these methods are considered secure against traditional computers, they carry serious vulnerabilities against quantum computers. This is where qONE (QONE) and the underlying qLABS ecosystem come into play.

The Quantum Threat and the Concept of “Q-Day”

When quantum computers reach sufficient maturity, quantum algorithms such as Shor’s algorithm will make it possible to factor large prime numbers and solve discrete logarithm problems. This development has the potential to render all currently used public-key cryptography systems inoperable.

In such a scenario, private keys could be derived from publicly visible wallet addresses, digital signatures could be forged, and on-chain assets could be seized. This critical threshold is referred to in the literature as Q-Day (Quantum Day).

While it is not yet clear exactly when Q-Day will occur, the risk is no longer purely theoretical. Private keys and signatures created today can be broken retroactively in the future.

What is qLABS? What Does It Aim to Achieve?

qLABS positions itself as the world’s first quantum-native crypto foundation. Its core objective is to prepare the Web3 ecosystem for Q-Day and provide infrastructure capable of protecting approximately $20 billion worth of circulating crypto assets against quantum threats.

To this end, qLABS is developing an integrated product ecosystem built on:

Quantum-resistant cryptography

Zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technologies

Blockchain-compatible smart contract architectures

At the center of this ecosystem is qONE (QONE).

What is qONE (QONE)?

qONE (QONE) is the first quantum-resistant token issued on the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It also serves as the native token of the qONE Security Protocol and forms the economic backbone of all security layers within the ecosystem.

qONE is not merely a crypto asset; it is designed as:

A hedge against Q-Day

The payment unit for Quantum-Sig wallets and secure transactions

A core element of protocol governance and staking mechanisms

Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and NIST Standards

NIST’s Role The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has been the institution defining global cryptography standards such as DES, AES, and SHA since the 1970s. With the quantum threat becoming clear, NIST launched the Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardization Project in 2016.

At the end of this multi-year process, draft standards for quantum-resistant digital signature algorithms were published as of 2024. This development shows that PQC has become an official and implementable security standard rather than an academic concept.

NIST-Selected PQC Algorithms

CRYSTALS-Dilithium: Lattice-based digital signature system. It stands out as the primary standard due to its balance of speed, security, and practicality.

SPHINCS+: Hash-based, stateless design that is theoretically extremely conservative.

FALCON: Another lattice-based algorithm offering smaller signatures and fast verification. Adoption is slower due to implementation complexity.

The qONE Security Protocol aims to make these standards blockchain-compatible.

Why Has the Crypto Ecosystem Fallen Behind?

Major technology companies such as Apple, Google, and Microsoft have already begun PQC integrations. In contrast, the main reasons the crypto sector lags behind are:

Consensus rigidity: Cryptography is foundational to chains, making changes difficult.

Backward incompatibility: Transitioning to PQC may invalidate existing addresses and keys.

Technical cost: PQC signatures are 10–100 times larger than classical signatures.

Resource constraints: Blockchain projects lack the coordination of large technology companies.

qLABS is one of the rare projects aiming to close this gap.

qLABS Product Ecosystem

Security Protocol

The core security layer of the ecosystem. It combines post-quantum cryptography with zero-knowledge proofs to enable quantum-resistant verification of on-chain transactions.

Dual-signature verification with standard key + quantum-resistant key

User-toggleable Quantum Factor Authentication (QFA)

Simple pass/fail verification output for applications

All these processes run in the background without disrupting user experience.

Quantum-Sig Wallet

Quantum-Sig wallet adapts the classic multisig logic to the needs of the quantum era.

Even if a classic private key is compromised,

Funds cannot be withdrawn without the quantum-resistant key

ZKP engine enables verification of large signature data on existing chains

Result: Quantum security at the smart contract level, chain-independent.

Q-Sig Wallet Integration Hub

For developers and institutional clients:

SDK

White-label solutions

Plug-in integrations

enabling the spread of Quantum-Sig technology on both B2B and B2C sides.

qONE (QONE) Tokenomics

Total supply: 1 billion QONE Network: HyperEVM

Early Supporters: 6.46%

Community Round: 1.70%

Public Sale: 4.69%

Hyperliquidity and Bridge: 7.95%

Liquidity / Treasury: 38.73%

Community Airdrops: 28.56%

qONE Token Use Cases

Payment of fees for quantum-secure transactions

Access to Quantum-Sig wallets (QFA)

Protocol staking

Governance voting

Token buybacks funded by fiat revenue

Every secure transaction creates demand for QONE.

qONE Roadmap

Q1 2026 – Launch

QONE Token

Security Protocol

Quantum-Sig Wallet

Integration Hub

2026 – Scale

Multisig Wallet

L1 Migration Toolkit

Institutional integrations

2027 and Beyond – Expand

Cross-chain bridges

DeFi integrations

Ripple has added Hyperliquid support to its institutional prime brokerage platform, Ripple Prime. The move gives institutions direct access to onchain perpetual liquidity. Institutional clients can now manage DeFi positions on Hyperliquid alongside FX and fixed income assets. All positions sit under Ripple Prime through a single cross-margin framework.

Cross-Margin Meets DeFi

This upgrade targets one core institutional problem: capital efficiency. Investors can now use traditional portfolios as collateral. They can enter DeFi markets through Ripple Prime’s secure infrastructure.

The system builds on Ripple’s $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road. It keeps centralized risk controls in place. Chaos stays outside. Ripple Prime clients access liquidity through one counterparty. They no longer need complex wallet setups. This marks a key step for institutional adoption.

Hyperliquid’s Liquidity Pull

Hyperliquid now processes more than $200 billion in monthly trading volume. That scale makes its inclusion in Ripple Prime feel inevitable. By mid-January, open interest passed $5 billion. The exchange has become one of the strongest onchain liquidity venues for institutional traders.

Through Ripple Prime, this depth now extends into tokenized commodities and prediction markets. The result is a broader investment surface. HYPE has shown relative strength during market volatility. Expectations around XRP continue to build. Together, they keep attention on the market impact of this integration.

Company Next Phase

Earlier this year, Flare launched the FXRP spot market on Hyperliquid. That move hinted at Ripple Prime’s roadmap. Today, company is moving beyond retail payments. It is becoming a central hub for institutional digital asset operations.

With Hyperliquid support, Ripple Prime sends a clear signal. DeFi speed now meets traditional market discipline. Onchain liquidity is turning into a standard tool for market makers and hedge funds. Ripple’s role in modern financial infrastructure is becoming harder to ignore.

Decentralized derivatives exchange Hyperliquid has unveiled HIP-4, a new protocol proposal designed to broaden the platform’s trading capabilities beyond perpetual futures. Built directly on HyperCore, Hyperliquid’s core infrastructure layer, HIP-4 introduces result-oriented financial instruments aimed at serving growing demand for prediction markets and option-like products. Following the announcement, Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE recorded an immediate price increase of nearly 10%, highlighting strong market interest in the upgrade.

Understanding Result-Based Contracts

At the center of HIP-4 are so-called “result” contracts. These instruments are fully collateralized and settle within predefined price ranges. Unlike traditional leveraged derivatives, they do not rely on margin mechanics and completely eliminate liquidation risk. Traders commit capital upfront, knowing that the maximum downside is capped at the initial cost of the contract.

This structure enables fixed-expiry instruments with non-linear payoff profiles, making them suitable for use cases commonly associated with prediction markets and options. By removing leverage and liquidation dynamics, Hyperliquid aims to provide a simpler and more transparent derivatives experience.

A New Direction Beyond Perpetuals

Until now, Hyperliquid’s ecosystem has been largely centered on perpetual futures. The introduction of result contracts marks a meaningful expansion of its derivatives architecture. These products support alternative risk profiles, time-based settlement, and payoff structures that are not possible with standard perpetual contracts.

As a result, traders gain access to a broader financial toolkit, while the platform itself evolves from a single-product derivatives venue into a more expressive trading environment capable of supporting complex strategies.

Native Integration With HyperCore and HyperEVM

Result contracts are designed to work seamlessly with Hyperliquid’s existing components, including portfolio margining and HyperEVM. This compatibility allows developers to build new financial applications that leverage result-based instruments alongside existing derivatives infrastructure.

The Hyperliquid team expects this composability to unlock new on-chain use cases, particularly in areas where deterministic settlement and defined outcomes are critical.

Testnet Rollout and Roadmap

The result-oriented trading framework will initially launch on testnet, limited to a curated selection of markets. After technical validation, canonical markets backed by objective settlement sources are expected to migrate to mainnet. These markets are planned to be denominated in USDH. Depending on user feedback and system stability, permissionless market listings may be introduced in later phases.

Growing Momentum for HYPE

The expansion of Hyperliquid’s permissionless market model has also strengthened demand for the HYPE token. By staking 500,000 HYPE, users can create liquidity across a wide range of markets, including cryptocurrencies, equities, and commodities. Supported by these developments, HYPE has gained approximately 33% over the past month, reflecting rising confidence in the platform’s long-term vision.

The transformation that crypto markets have undergone in recent years goes far beyond just new tokens or Layer-2 solutions. Today, the core topic of discussion is how traditional financial markets will be rebuilt on crypto infrastructure. tradeXYZ stands out as a decentralized, non-custodial perpetual DEX at the center of this transformation.

tradeXYZ aims to make a wide range of products—including not only crypto assets but also traditional financial instruments such as US stocks, indices, commodities, and forex pairs—available 24/7 on the Hyperliquid blockchain.

Core Vision of tradeXYZ

The tradeXYZ ecosystem views the restriction of global capital markets by specific hours, intermediaries, and geographic limitations as inefficient. The platform’s fundamental approach is to enable everyone to access liquid markets from anywhere, at any time.

This vision is built on three main pillars:

Full control over user assets through a non-custodial structure

Merging traditional and crypto markets into a single interface

A decentralized, high-performance orderbook architecture

tradeXYZ represents a new generation trading infrastructure that combines decentralized finance with traditional market logic.

With 24/7 markets, a non-custodial structure, advanced orderbook architecture, and a wide range of products, tradeXYZ stands out as a key player within the Hyperliquid ecosystem.

Relationship Between Hyperliquid and tradeXYZ

All transactions on tradeXYZ occur on the Hyperliquid network. Hyperliquid is a high-capacity, fully on-chain, and decentralized perpetual trading network.

One of the most critical components of this network is the decentralized orderbook system called HyperCore. Order matching, liquidations, funding payments, and settlement processes are executed on-chain by validators.

tradeXYZ provides a user interface (frontend) that operates on top of this infrastructure. In other words:

tradeXYZ is not an exchange

It does not hold user funds

It does not execute trades itself

Users access markets on Hyperliquid directly through the tradeXYZ interface.

What are HIP-3 and the XYZ Protocol?

Within the Hyperliquid ecosystem, there are network upgrades called Hyperliquid Improvement Proposals (HIP). Among them, HIP-3 enables independent developers to create their own perpetual markets on Hyperliquid.

At this point, the XYZ Protocol is a HIP-3 deployment.

The XYZ Protocol determines:

Which assets will be listed

Oracle sources

Leverage limits

Market parameters

tradeXYZ is the user interface that provides access to these XYZ markets.

Important note: tradeXYZ is not the only way to access XYZ markets. However, it offers one of the most comprehensive and integrated user experiences.

Markets Available on tradeXYZ

tradeXYZ brings together three main types of markets on a single platform.

Crypto Perpetual Markets

These are Hyperliquid’s native perpetual markets. On major crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, and others:

Perpetual contracts with no expiry

USDC collateralized

Funding mechanism-based

Users can choose between isolated or cross margin and manually adjust leverage levels.

XYZ Equity Perpetuals (Stock and Index Perps)

One of the most striking features of tradeXYZ is the conversion of traditional stocks and indices into perpetual contracts.

Notable example:

XYZ100: An index perp representing 100 major US companies, similar to Nasdaq-100

These contracts:

Are collateralized with USDC

Use USD-based oracle prices

Are cash-settled

Even when traditional markets are closed, they continue to trade thanks to internal pricing mechanisms.

Spot Crypto Markets

Thanks to Unit Protocol integration, tradeXYZ also supports spot crypto trading.

Native assets such as BTC, ETH, SOL

Tokenized on their own blockchains

Traded as spot on Hyperliquid

These assets cannot be used as collateral but offer low-fee spot buying and selling.

24/7 Oracle and Pricing Mechanism

Especially for stock and commodity perps, the biggest challenge is determining the price outside of market hours. tradeXYZ and the XYZ Protocol adopt a hybrid approach here:

When markets are open: Institutional liquidity providers and oracle networks (e.g., Pyth)

When markets are closed: Continuous time-weighted EMA-based internal pricing

The mark price is calculated by taking the median of oracle price, perp mid-price difference, and components derived from recent trades. This structure is restricted with specific bands to limit sudden price jumps.

Account Structure and Fund Management

On tradeXYZ, a single wallet address can have multiple account types:

Crypto Perps Account

Equities [XYZ] Account

Spot Account

Instant and free transfers can be made between these accounts. However, collaterals are independent; equity perps and crypto perps do not share the same margin.

How to Use tradeXYZ?

tradeXYZ Wallet Connection

The platform operates completely non-custodially. Users can:

Connect existing wallets such as MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby

Or create a new wallet via email through Privy

You can also click here to read our guide titled “What is MetaMask? How to Use It?”.

After connecting the wallet:

Deposit USDC or supported spot assets

Enable trading

Transfer to the relevant accounts

tradeXYZ may be restricted in certain jurisdictions (including the US) due to regulations, and wallets may undergo sanctions screening.

Depositing Spot Crypto Assets

tradeXYZ allows users to deposit spot crypto assets via the Unit Protocol infrastructure. Deposits are made through the native blockchain of the relevant asset.

The process can be summarized as follows:

User selects the asset from the “Deposit” tab

The system generates an asset-specific deposit address

Transfer is made from an external wallet using the correct network

After blockchain confirmations, the asset appears in the Spot Account

Using the wrong network or missing memo can result in loss of funds. Spot assets cannot be used as collateral in perpetual trading.

Transfers Between Accounts

Transfers between accounts are free and require only a signature.

For example, USDC received in the Spot Account can be transferred to the Crypto Perps or Equities account in seconds.

Withdrawal Operations

USDC (Arbitrum) Withdrawals

USDC withdrawals are processed via the Arbitrum network.

There is no gas fee, but a minimum protocol fee of 1 USDC applies. Therefore, at least 1 USDC must be present in the Crypto Perps account for withdrawal.

Spot Crypto Asset Withdrawals

Assets such as BTC, ETH, and similar are withdrawn via their native networks. Failure to provide the correct address, correct network, and minimum amount can result in loss of funds.

Order Types and Professional Tools

tradeXYZ offers advanced order types beyond simple buy-sell operations:

Market & Limit

Stop Market / Stop Limit

TWAP

Scale Orders

Reduce-only

TP / SL integration

This structure provides a comprehensive toolkit especially for professional traders and users taking hedge positions.

The question of when the next “altcoin season” will begin continues to dominate discussions in the crypto market. While many investors are waiting for a broad-based rally similar to previous cycles, BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes offers a fundamentally different interpretation. According to Hayes, the idea that altcoin season has not yet arrived is misleading — because, in his view, it never actually ended.

Rethinking the Concept of Altcoin Season

Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Hayes argued that there are always altcoins outperforming the market at any given time. He suggests that investors who believe altcoin season has not occurred are likely those who failed to hold the assets that appreciated the most. This perspective challenges the widely held belief that altcoin season must follow a predictable, market-wide pattern.

Hayes emphasizes that many traders are still anchored to past cycles, expecting history to repeat itself in the same way. However, the crypto market has evolved significantly, and relying too heavily on historical playbooks may lead to missed opportunities.

The Risk of Looking Backward

One of Hayes’ central points is that investors often assume the next altcoin rally will feature the same projects and narratives as the last one. This mindset, he warns, can be counterproductive. Markets reward innovation and new trends, not familiarity. According to Hayes, each cycle introduces fresh themes, and successful traders are those who adapt rather than cling to outdated assumptions.

Standout Performers in the Current Cycle

To support his argument, Hayes highlights specific examples from the current market cycle. He points to Hyperliquid as one of the strongest stories so far, noting its rise from low single-digit prices to around $60. Such performance, he argues, demonstrates that meaningful altcoin rallies have already taken place — just not across the entire market.

Hayes also references Solana as another example. After collapsing to near $7 during the 2022 downturn, Solana rebounded sharply, climbing close to $300 earlier this year. These moves, in his view, are clear evidence that capital has rotated into select altcoins, even if a broad-based rally has not materialized.

A Divided Industry Perspective

Not everyone shares Hayes’ outlook. Some market participants believe the next altcoin season will be driven primarily by established cryptocurrencies, particularly those linked to exchange-traded fund products or expected regulatory approvals. Others continue to expect a traditional sequence, with Bitcoin leading the way before capital flows into Ether and smaller altcoins.

A More Selective Market Environment

Overall, the current market appears less about indiscriminate rallies and more about selective outperformance. Hayes’ message is clear: altcoin season is not a single event but an ongoing process. The key difference lies in identifying which projects truly define each cycle’s winners.

Hyperliquid has initiated a governance process that could significantly reshape the token economics of its ecosystem. The Hyper Foundation has formally proposed a validator vote to recognize approximately 37 million HYPE tokens held in the Assistance Fund as permanently burned. If approved, this decision would effectively remove more than 10% of HYPE’s total supply from circulation.

The proposal represents one of the most substantial supply-side developments in Hyperliquid’s history and highlights the protocol’s growing emphasis on transparency, immutability, and long-term economic clarity.

How the Assistance Fund Operates

The Assistance Fund is an integral component of Hyperliquid’s Layer-1 execution framework and functions in a fully automated manner. Trading fees generated across the platform are systematically converted into HYPE tokens without manual intervention or discretionary control.

These tokens are held at a dedicated system address:
0xfefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefefe

This address is architecturally similar to a zero address and has never been associated with a private key. As a result, the funds stored there are mathematically inaccessible. Without implementing a hard fork, retrieving or utilizing these tokens is impossible under the current protocol design.

What the Validator Vote Really Means

A “Yes” vote from validators would not trigger an onchain transaction or technical change, as the tokens are already unreachable. Instead, the vote establishes a binding social consensus: the HYPE stored in the Assistance Fund will be treated as permanently burned, and no future protocol upgrade will be authorized to access that address.

This approach reinforces supply integrity without introducing technical risk, while simultaneously sending a strong signal to the market about Hyperliquid’s commitment to predictable and verifiable token economics.

Governance Timeline and Participation

The voting process unfolds across three key milestones:

December 21, 04:00 (UTC): Validators declare their stance (“Yes” or “No”) in the governance forum.

December 24, 04:00 (UTC): Users may delegate stake to validators aligned with their view.

December 24, 04:00 (UTC): Final outcome determined via stake-weighted consensus.

What Is Hyperliquid?

Hyperliquid is a fully onchain Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for perpetual futures and spot trading. Unlike traditional exchanges, all activity occurs onchain and is powered by HyperCore, a high-performance order book engine capable of processing up to 200,000 orders per second. Finality is achieved within a single block through the HyperBFT consensus mechanism, delivering speed comparable to centralized platforms while preserving decentralization.

If approved, the burn recognition vote would mark a defining moment for Hyperliquid—both economically and philosophically—by permanently reducing supply while strengthening trust in the protocol’s governance framework.
