]]> According to his most recent federal financial statement, J.D. Vance, the venture capitalist turned politician who former President Donald Trump selected as his running mate, possesses between $100,001 and $250,000 in bitcoin.

The Ohio senator revealed in his required Annual Report for the calendar year 2022, issued in October 2023, that he kept those bitcoins on Coinbase. Vance also kept accounts with Charles Schwab and Robinhood brokerages.

In addition, Vance disclosed receiving $110,146 in revenue from his Cincinnati-based Narya Capital Management company and $121,376 in royalties from HarperCollins for his best-selling 2016 autobiography, “Hillbilly Elegy.”

The vice presidential contender has not yet submitted their 2023 financial disclosure forms. Cincinnati.com estimates his current net worth to be at least $5 million and as high as $10.5 million.

Known for being one of the more pro-crypto legislators, he is currently working on a bill that will change the way financial authorities in the US monitor digital assets.
