Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin issuer, has announced it will be leaving two altcoin networks.

USDT developer Tether will only support protocols that the USDT “community finds useful” going forward.

According to a statement made by Tether, the company will no longer provide support for the EOS and Algorand networks.

In line with this, Tether will stop issuing USDT on the EOS and Algorand networks as of June 24.

Tether stated, “We will continue to support protocols and chains that the community finds useful and encourage the community to increase USDT’s use cases on all protocols.”

How will the process proceed?

USDT users on the EOS and Algorand networks will be able to redeem their funds for 12 months.

Tether said, “We promise our community that this process will be carried out with care and minimal disruption.”

With the withdrawal from the EOS and Algorand networks, Tether now only operates on the Avalanche, Celo, Kava, Ethereum, Liquid Network, NEAR, Polkadot, Solana, Tezos, TON and Tron networks.

A significant portion of USDT, with a total market capitalization of $112.75 billion, is issued on the Tron and Ethereum networks.

Tether had also stopped providing USDT services on the Bitcoin, Kusama, and Bitcoin Cash networks last year.

This significant development aims to enhance the integration of it into the Binance ecosystem, providing users with a broader range of services.

Attention: Celestia (TIA) Stake Rate Continues to Increase!

During this integration process, Binance clarified that services such as spot trading, margin trading, futures trading, and Binance Earn would not be affected. Users will be able to continue benefiting from the advantages offered by Kava.

The exchange aims to optimize the user experience by meeting all technical requirements. Upon completion of the Kava (KAVA) EVM integration, Binance will announce this significant step separately.

In recent days, with the decline in the value of Bitcoin, it has been significantly affected. Although there has been some recovery during the decline, it appears to be consolidating within a specific range, tending to test lower channel supports afterward. According to our short-term analysis, a significant support level for it could be identified at $0.759.

Below this region, daily closures may pull prices down to lower levels. However, with average candle closures above the $0.854 level, the probability of rising above $0.92 and then $1 increases.

According to Binance’s announcement, trading pairs APE/BNB, APE/EUR, ARPA/ETH, BETA/ETH, CVX/BTC, ENS/BNB, EOS/EUR, ETC/EUR, KAVA/BNB, and PAXG/BNB will be removed from spot trading and trading will be halted on December 29 at 05:00 (Turkey time). It was also mentioned that with this change, trading bots related to the same trading pairs will be shut down.

However, Binance stated that users can continue to trade on the platform using other trading pairs available for these assets. This means that users can maintain flexibility in managing their portfolios and making trades. The cryptocurrency market is constantly changing, and exchanges may make changes to their portfolios from time to time to provide the best service to users.
