Recently, Elon Musk shared several Pepe and Kekius Maximus-themed visuals created by Grok AI on the X platform, changed his profile picture to one of these visuals, and updated his username to “Kekius Maximus.”

Following Musk’s actions, Kekius Maximus (KEKIUS), a meme coin launched on the Ethereum network in December, experienced a massive surge, with gains reaching up to 1000%. Other meme coin projects with the same name also witnessed similar spikes.

However, earlier this morning, Musk reverted his profile picture and username to their original state. This move led Kekius Maximus (KEKIUS) to lose over 50% of its value.

The Solana Version Shares a Similar Fate

After the success of Kekius Maximus on the Ethereum network, a Solana version of the same coin was launched. However, this version saw a more dramatic decline, losing over 90% of its value shortly after a brief surge. This highlights the high volatility and risks associated with meme coins.
