Officially starting its token airdrop in a week, Blast, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built by NFT marketplace founder Blur

How to Earn Blast Points and Gold

The project posted today on X that users must complete specific actions to be qualified for the airdrop and that dapps must give users before 8 a.m. on June 25 ET reward incentives, including Gold and Points.

According to its note, the project plans to deliver half of the airdrop to developers using Blast Gold and the other half to early users using Blast Points depending on wallet and dapp balances.

The project says, “50% of the Blast Airdrop is allocated to Blast Points; users’ wallets will automatically earn Points based on their balances.” Blast Gold is meant to be used as an incentive for the expansion of Dapps in the meantime. The project noted: “This means that Dapps should give 100% of any Gold they earn to their users.”

Blast Airdrop Eligibility and Requirements

Users must additionally log into their Blast dashboard using the qualified EOA at least once to be included in the airdrop.

Blast advised: “If you are a user and your EOA has Points or Gold, you must have signed into your Blast dashboard with that EOA at least once (either by receiving an invite or linking it to an existing account) in order for it to be included in the airdrop calculations.”

Originally projected to take place in May, the project revealed a delay a delay last month and said the allocation would be changed to reflect this.

Designed by Blur founder Tieshun Roquerre, Blast went live in early access mode in November 2023. Data from DefiLlama shows that although the total value locked on Blast at the time of publication was $2.09 billion, on June 6, it reported $2.3 billion.

Moreover, lately, blast-based games have been really popular. Based on great success on its testnet, the crypto trading card game “Fantasy” launched on the Blast mainnet in April. Based on daily fees earned, the protocol ranked last month among the top 10 platforms.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong announced their plans to integrate with Solana (SOL) to achieve their goal of conducting transactions “under a second and a cent.”

You might like: New Tether CEO Discusses Important Development!

Armstrong aims to accelerate their platform by integrating into fast layer-1 networks like Bitcoin’s Lightning and Solana. However, he emphasized that there is no plan to issue a token for the company’s layer-2 network, Base.

Coinbase is in the effort of integrating its Base network with various applications and it is stated that developers are excited about working with layer 2. Armstrong noted that improvements need to be made on the Base network to reach the goal of average transactions “under a second and a cent.”

The Solana integration of Coinbase and its targets reflect the company’s efforts to make crypto transactions faster and more efficient. These steps can be seen as part of Coinbase’s strategy to increase its competitive advantage and optimize the user experience.

The company’s focus on layer-2 solutions and improving the Base network aims to further optimize the user experience.

Coinbase’s Layer 2 network Base has open-sourced its code repositories to increase transparency and open the project to public contributions.

According to the announcement, developers will now be able to access the core code that enables various processes, also including contracts and other deployments. In its statement, Base said, “We ensure that we fulfill our commitments by openly sharing our work and allowing the community to track our progress.”

“This transparency also serves as a catalyst for collaboration, as it allows developers to benefit from our knowledge base and improve what is already available. It also provides a channel for valuable feedback from the community, whether to improve documentation or identify an overlooked error.”

Along with this, Senior Software Engineer at Base Anika Raghuvanshi,

“Supporting open source has been one of our fundamental principles since we announced the test network at the beginning of the year.”

“Our goal is to be decentralized, permissionless and open to everyone. We joined Optimism as a Core Developer at Open Source OP Stack and using Base’s contracts and front-ends open source is a continuation of our commitment to building public technology.”

Smart Contract Transparency

The Base Network team aims to provide developers with more transparency in development by using smart contract repositories as open source. Additionally all contracts are now public on GitHub, providing information on various chain-based actions ranging from contract deployments to upgrades.

The use of open source is an important concept in the crypto industry and is a critical part of this concept. Also this process provides transparency over operations and allows for community-based auditing, allowing security vulnerabilities to be seen and corrected more quickly.
