One of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance, has officially announced that it will support the rebranding of the OM token under the new name MANTRA. This decision is seen as a significant step for the project as it continues under its new brand identity. As part of the process, Binance will remove the existing OM spot trading pairs from the platform and subsequently list the new MANTRA trading pairs to complete the transition. The published schedule includes critical dates that users should monitor carefully, as certain timeframes will involve restrictions on trading, deposits, and withdrawals. In particular, users with open orders or ongoing on-chain transfers are advised to act in accordance with the transition timeline.

OM Spot Trading Pairs to Be Delisted

According to Binance’s announcement, the first step in the rebranding process will be the removal of OM trading pairs: March 2, 2026 – 03:00: Binance will delist all OM spot trading pairs, including OM/USDT, OM/USDC, and OM/TRY. At the same time, all open OM spot orders will be automatically canceled. For this reason, users with active OM orders are advised to review and manage their positions before the deadline to avoid unexpected cancellations.

When Will MANTRA Trading Pairs Go Live?

Following the delisting of OM, Binance will list the token under its new brand name, MANTRA:

March 4, 2026 – 08:00: Spot trading will begin for MANTRA/USDT, MANTRA/USDC, and MANTRA/TRY pairs. This date marks the official completion of the OM → MANTRA transition on the trading side. Binance has also shared a clear timeline for deposits and withdrawals:

March 2, 2026 – 03:30: Deposits and withdrawals of OM tokens will be suspended. Users must ensure that any OM deposits are fully confirmed on the blockchain before this time.

March 4, 2026 – 07:00: MANTRA token deposits will open. From this point onward, users will be able to deposit MANTRA tokens into their Binance accounts.

What Does This Mean for Users?

This rebranding process highlights several important points for Binance users:

Users wishing to trade OM must complete their transactions before the delisting time.

OM deposits and withdrawals will not be processed after the suspension time.

MANTRA trading will only be available after the official listing time.

Binance’s structured and transparent approach suggests that the exchange aims to complete the rebranding without significant liquidity disruption. The rebranding of OM to MANTRA, with direct support from Binance, is considered an important step in ensuring operational continuity for the project on the exchange.

One of the leading projects in the Real World Assets (RWA) sector, MANTRA, has taken a significant step to strengthen its ecosystem. The project plans to rebrand by changing the name of its existing OM token to MANTRA and conducting a 1:4 token split. This move aims to simplify the token’s identity, increase brand awareness, and attract new investors with a lower unit price.

Token Split and New Brand Identity

According to the MANTRA team, the total token supply will quadruple after the split, while the overall market capitalization will remain unchanged. Such splits typically reduce the unit price of a token, making it more accessible to retail investors and often boosting short-term trading volume.

The new MANTRA token will carry the project’s brand name directly, fostering stronger user recognition and community identity within the ecosystem.

A Strategic Move in the RWA Ecosystem

In the increasingly competitive Real World Assets (RWA) sector, this rebranding is expected to enhance MANTRA’s appeal to institutional investors. Following the launch of its mainnet in 2024, the project established strategic partnerships with financial institutions based in the UAE and the United States, focusing on asset tokenization.

With the upcoming Agentic Summit, MANTRA’s latest move is anticipated to strengthen its position among RWA-focused blockchain projects.

Investor Impact: Post-Split Opportunities and Risks

Historical data shows that similar token splits have resulted in short-term price increases of 15–25%. For instance, Cosmos (ATOM) experienced a comparable surge following its own split. As a result, analysts consider it highly likely that MANTRA’s split could trigger speculative buying.

However, investors should remain cautious about potential liquidity fragmentation during the transition period. To mitigate this effect, the MANTRA team announced an increase in validator rewards (APR) to 18%. Additionally, the legacy ERC-20 OM token will be phased out by January 2026.

Long-Term Outlook: Strong Liquidity Move in 2026

MANTRA plans to expand its liquidity engine partnerships in the first quarter of 2026, a move expected to enhance on-chain liquidity and pave the way for greater institutional integration within RWA markets. Experts anticipate that following this transition, MANTRA could enter a strong upward trend in both market capitalization and trading volume.

This transformation is far more than just a name change it represents a fundamental restructuring of brand identity, investor accessibility, and ecosystem strategy. Through the token split, MANTRA aims to boost liquidity, increase retail participation, and solidify its leadership position in the Real World Assets (RWA) sector.

The Layer 1 blockchain network MANTRA has officially announced the first phase of its $25 million OM token buyback program. Designed to strengthen its real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem, the initiative is backed by key investors and stakeholders. The buyback will be executed transparently over several months across centralized exchanges.

Investor Confidence and $45 Million Total Commitment

This buyback announcement comes shortly after Inveniam’s $20 million investment in MANTRA. Together, these developments bring the total commitment to $45 million, highlighting institutional confidence in both MANTRA’s vision and the long-term value of the OM token.

Strategic Importance of the Buyback

MANTRA CEO and Co-founder John Patrick Mullin had previously revealed plans for a strategic token buyback back in April 2025. The newly launched program fulfills that promise. Tokens purchased during the process will be withdrawn from exchanges, migrated to the MANTRA Chain mainnet, and staked with the validator set. This approach reduces token supply while reinforcing utility within the ecosystem.

MANTRA emphasized that the buyback will be conducted with full transparency. Regular updates will be shared via the project’s official X account, while wallets holding the repurchased and staked OM tokens will be publicly listed on the token dashboard.

Market Impact

At current prices, the buyback represents around 110 million OM tokens — approximately 10% of the circulating supply. This reduction could have a meaningful impact on supply dynamics, potentially creating upward momentum for the token’s price.

The reasons behind Mantra’s OM token crash can’t be fully explained with blockchain analytics alone, according to Natalie Newson, senior investigator at blockchain security firm CertiK.

Speaking to Cointelegraph, Newson said that uncovering the truth behind the April crash would require a full forensic study — similar to the one conducted after the collapse of FTX.

OTC Deals Obscure the Full Picture

In an April 15 interview with Coffeezilla, John Mullin, CEO of Mantra, admitted that the team had engaged in up to $30 million worth of OTC deals. These trades, unlike on-chain transactions, are carried out off exchanges and lack public transparency.

“The whale’s accumulation of 100 million OM tokens appears to stem from secondary market activity — not direct action by Mantra insiders,” Newson explained.

Arkham and Nansen Cannot Offer Final Answers

Mullin has denied any insider dumping, arguing that Arkham mislabelled several wallets. But Newson said that even data from Arkham or Nansen would not suffice:

“To confirm insider coordination, more than basic wallet tracing is needed. Without offchain agreements or exchange records, reaching definitive conclusions is extremely difficult.”

Audit Still Not Confirmed

Mullin said the team is considering hiring a forensic auditor, though no decision has been made yet. Mantra has asked centralized exchanges to collaborate in analyzing the incident.

OM’s market cap plunged from $6 billion to a few hundred million.

Many investors on social media likened the collapse to the LUNA and FTX crises, calling it a potential rug pull. After a wave of speculation, the Mantra team finally broke its silence.

Mantra Team: “This Was Not Us”

In an official statement, Mantra tried to reassure its community:

“Today’s price action was triggered by reckless liquidations unrelated to the project. We want to be clear: this was not our team. We are investigating and will share more details as soon as possible.”

Mantra’s CEO also made a statement:

“Guys, I just woke up and I’m trying to figure out what happened. A major OM investor’s position was massively liquidated on an exchange. We’re still sorting out the details, but we’re here and working on solving the issue. Thanks for your understanding.”

Massive Tokenization Projects in the Middle East

Ironically, the OM token crash came shortly after Mantra’s announcement of a $1 billion tokenization deal in January 2025. The agreement with Dubai-based DAMAC included real estate, data centers, and other physical assets to be tokenized on the Mantra blockchain.

Mantra also obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in February 2025.

This license allows Mantra to legally operate in the United Arab Emirates, offering crypto exchange, brokerage, management, and consulting services.

Why Did OM Crash?

Mantra co-founder Patrick Mullin said the crash was triggered by the liquidation of a large investor’s position on an undisclosed exchange. However, details such as the exchange’s name, the identity of the investor, or the trade volume have not yet been clarified.

While the team continues to investigate the chain of events, investors are growing concerned about the sustainability of the Mantra ecosystem.

Dubai’s latest crypto VASP license opens the way for the layer-1 blockchain to launch unique DeFi services and products.

Mantra Becomes the First DeFi Project to Secure a VASP License in Dubai

Dubai’s virtual asset regulator, VARA, has granted a VASP license to Mantra, a layer-1 blockchain focused on real-world assets (RWA). This makes Mantra the first DeFi platform to receive a license in Dubai.

Dubai is becoming a global blockchain hub, thanks to its clear regulations and comprehensive oversight system. Many companies, from crypto exchanges to media firms, are flocking to the region. VARA regulates all virtual asset activities, guiding the sector’s growth.

With the VASP license, Mantra is authorized to offer exchange, broker-dealer services, and management & investment services.

What is a VASP License?

Dubai has developed a comprehensive licensing system within VARA to regulate its virtual asset ecosystem. Companies seeking to engage in activities like exchange, advisory, brokerage, custody, lending, or issuance must obtain a license from VARA.

Mantra, with three licenses from VARA, is now authorized to offer exchange services, broker-dealer services, and virtual asset management & investment services.

Mantra CEO John Patrick Mullin stated:

“Dubai and VARA have created the most comprehensive and modern regulatory framework for virtual assets and Web3. Acquiring this license is a crucial step for Mantra and a significant milestone in our global expansion journey.”

Mantra Accelerates Growth with New License

Aligning with the UAE’s goal to become a blockchain hub, Mantra is strengthening its presence in the region. The company has entered a $1 billion agreement with Damac Group to provide token-based financing. Partnerships with Libre Capital and MAG are focused on fund tokenization and financing luxury real estate projects.

With the VASP license from VARA, Mantra will begin offering regulated DeFi services and accelerate its integration into the region’s financial ecosystem.

The First RWA MEME Token BIKE to Launch on MANTRA Chain: What Are the Details and How to Participate in the Launch?

What is MANTRA’s First RWA MEME Token BIKE?

Ali “Rev” Gator’s BIKE is a project on the MANTRA Chain that brings a new twist to the meme token world. Beyond being a fun digital asset, BIKE aims to explore the potential of blockchain technology in an engaging and community-centered way.

The project extends the traditional role of meme tokens, offering a fun and captivating experience that brings communities together. BIKE is also the first RWA (Real World Asset) meme token on the MANTRA Chain, marking an important step in the digitalization of real-world assets on the blockchain.

BIKE is more than just an investment tool; it’s a platform for creating a community and culture. Led by Ali “Rev” Gator, BIKE provides a space where individuals can invest not only financially but also in entertainment and community spirit.

Like most meme tokens, BIKE centers around its community, aiming to establish itself within the blockchain world by building a broad following.

How to Participate in the Launch?

For the BIKE token launch, MANTRA Chain has been integrated with StreamSwap.io for the first time.

StreamSwap is the launchpad platform of Osmosis, the largest decentralized exchange in the Cosmos ecosystem (Osmosis).

To participate in the launch, you will need either a Leap Wallet or a Keplr Wallet. We recommend using Keplr Wallet.

Once your Keplr Wallet is created, you need to add MANTRA Chain to your wallet. After adding the MANTRA Chain, you must deposit $OM or $USDC to participate in the launch.

You can purchase $OM on Bybit, which is integrated with MANTRA, send it to your MANTRA wallet, and then exchange $OM for $USDC on mantra.zone/swap.

Now you’re ready to join the $BIKE token launch.

MANTRA’s previously successful NFT collection, OMies, saw an astronomical rise from a mint price of 1 $OM (when $OM was about $5) to $1,000 per NFT. Some of these NFTs will also be eligible for the $BIKE airdrop.

Additionally, users who have staked $OM on the mainnet will also receive an airdrop, as MANTRA had previously announced rewards for $OM holders and stakers.

Project Website: https://www.hodlthethrottle.bike/

Project Twitter: https://x.com/BikeOnMANTRA

The project will launch on the StreamSwap platform.

Once the launch on StreamSwap is completed, $BIKE tokens will be available for trading at the following addresses:

https://osmosis.zone/

https://mantra.zone/swap

This project is significant as it is the first community meme token to be launched on MANTRA.

Additionally, the CEO of MANTRA recently posted a tweet showing his support for $BIKE.
