According to Tokenomist (formerly Token Unlocks), $2.68 billion worth of crypto assets are expected to be released in November. Of this amount, over $900 million in tokens will be unlocked on a cliff basis, while approximately $1.7 billion will be unlocked linearly.

Crypto token vesting is a widely practiced strategy in the digital asset space aimed at preventing early investors or project team members from selling their tokens before the project matures. This process helps avoid scenarios where investors might dump all their assets at once, potentially putting pressure on the markets.

The Biggest Token Unlocks in November

The meme project Memecoin is set to release approximately 3.45 billion tokens worth around $37.8 million for its airdrop. Additionally, it will implement a linear token release process for its contributors, which will amount to 10 million MEME tokens daily, equating to about $117,000. Currently, the price of the MEME token stands at $0.010, which is 81% lower than its peak of $0.053 in 2024.

Layer-1 blockchain Aptos will also unlock an additional 11.31 million tokens valued at $93 million. Of this amount, approximately $32 million will go to the project’s core contributors, $26 million to the community, $11 million to the foundation, and $23 million to investors. The APT token is currently trading at around $8.24, which is 54% below its all-time high of $18.14 in 2024.

Avalanche will release 1.67 million AVAX tokens valued at $39 million for its foundation, while Optimism will unlock 31.4 million tokens worth $44 million for its investors and core contributors.

Arbitrum, as an Ethereum layer-2 network, will unlock 92.65 million tokens worth $45 million. These crypto tokens will be allocated to its investors, team, and advisors. On March 16, Arbitrum had previously released 1.1 billion tokens valued at $2.32 billion.
