Bitcoin has slipped to its lowest level in nearly a year, while U.S. equities are moving in the opposite direction. Strong earnings, renewed appetite for AI stocks, and improving market breadth have pushed the S&P 500 back toward record territory. At the same time, selling pressure across crypto markets has intensified.

This divergence isn’t random. Capital is rotating away from liquidity-driven trades and toward assets offering direct earnings visibility. Bitcoin falling below $65,000 fits squarely into that shift.

Stocks Recover, Crypto Pulls Back

U.S. equities remain resilient despite a brief pullback after the S&P 500 climbed to around 6,976. Earlier in the week, the index closed just below its previous high before attempting another short-lived push upward.

Meanwhile, risk appetite in equities stands in sharp contrast to weakness in crypto.

Momentum on the Bitcoin side has clearly faded. As broader capital flows favor traditional risk assets, selling pressure in digital markets has become increasingly visible. The gap between sentiment toward stocks and crypto continues to widen.

Why Is Bitcoin Falling Behind?

The latest rally in the S&P 500 has been driven largely by AI-linked stocks. After a short pause sparked by valuation concerns, investors returned to big tech and semiconductors.

Alphabet hit new highs. Amazon found support ahead of earnings. Chipmakers rallied on strengthening demand expectations.

But the more interesting story is happening beneath the surface.

Market breadth has improved noticeably. Small-cap stocks have outperformed, with the Russell 2000 up roughly 3% year-to-date. Simply put, investors aren’t just betting on mega-caps anymore — confidence is spreading across the broader economy.

In short: earnings, not valuations, are now carrying the rally.

Earnings Take Center Stage

Corporate results are the primary engine behind the current advance. Analysts expect S&P 500 companies to post close to 11% earnings growth for the December quarter — well above projections from January.

FactSet data shows more than 80% of reporting firms have beaten expectations so far. Even more striking: recent research suggests roughly 84% of total S&P 500 returns in this cycle are coming directly from earnings growth. That means prices are rising because of real profits, not multiple expansion.

This shift also softens “AI bubble” fears. Cash flow, not hype, is increasingly backing higher valuations.

Macro Backdrop Remains Supportive

The broader macro picture continues to favor equities.

U.S. GDP growth is hovering around 3.3%. Inflation remains relatively contained. Productivity indicators are improving. Even temporary government disruptions and delayed data releases failed to materially shake market confidence.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up more than 1% year-to-date. The Nasdaq Composite is down about 2.6%, but selective buying in tech persists.

Attention now turns to upcoming economic data and the Federal Reserve’s next policy signals, as investors look for confirmation that financial conditions will stay supportive.

What Bitcoin’s Weakness Is Signaling

While stocks climb, crypto markets are moving the other way. Bitcoin dipped below $65,000, marking its weakest level in about a year. Pressure across digital assets has grown as fading momentum, declining speculative appetite, and capital rotation toward earnings-producing equities converge.

This opposing performance highlights a widening short-term split between traditional risk assets and crypto.

Both markets can benefit from liquidity expansion. But in the current environment, investors are prioritizing balance sheets over narratives.

Fresh S&P 500 highs are being powered by earnings, not valuation inflation. AI investment, relative strength in small caps, and resilient macro data continue to support the upside — even as record levels demand more selective caution.

Bitcoin’s slide to one-year lows makes one thing clear: risk appetite is weakening on the crypto side, while equities still hold the wheel.

US-based spot Bitcoin ETFs are facing sustained capital pressure as market sentiment continues to deteriorate. Despite a shortened trading week due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, total net outflows reached $1.72 billion over five consecutive trading days, signaling a clear erosion in short-term confidence around Bitcoin.

On Friday alone, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $103.5 million in net outflows, extending the negative streak that began the previous week. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has failed to reclaim the $100,000 psychological level since Nov. 13 and is currently trading around the $89,000 range.

ETF Flows Reflect Retail Risk Aversion

Spot Bitcoin ETF flows are widely viewed as a proxy for retail investor behavior. The recent wave of outflows suggests not only price pressure, but a broader pullback in risk appetite. Sideways price action has so far failed to offset the ongoing capital erosion on the ETF side.

Market Sentiment Stuck in Extreme Fear

The broader crypto market shows a similar pattern. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index has fallen to 25, firmly within the “Extreme Fear” zone. According to Santiment, the market has entered a clear phase of uncertainty, marked by fading retail interest.

While some low-key indicators hint at a potential base-building process, the timing of any recovery remains unclear.

Metals Rally Leaves Bitcoin Behind

On the macro front, a notable divergence is emerging. The Bitcoin Layer founder Nik Bhatia argues that strong rallies in gold and silver are weighing on Bitcoin sentiment. According to Bhatia, being sidelined from the metals rally has pushed investor psychology toward post-FTX bear-market vibes.

Although he remains long-term bullish, Bhatia cautions that the current environment is painful and patience-testing, dominated by fear rather than conviction.

ETF outflows now represent more than short-term price pressure. As social interest fades and capital continues to exit, the risk of a delayed trend reversal remains elevated.

You can also freely share your thoughts and comments about the topic in the comment section.

Ustd dominance in the crypto market is represented as usdt.d, showing investors and users this specific metric directly. Usdt.d is one of the leading indicators that displays where liquidity is flowing in the crypto market, what the current risk perception is, and whether sentiment is shifting. Investors often look at this metric to detect major market reversals, such as whether a bull or bear trend is approaching. As of November 2025, usdt.d attracted significant attention and showed unexpected movements. This move is not seen merely as a number by investors. As the saying goes, “the writing is on the wall”—and that describes the situation perfectly. The visible signals can be categorized as follows:

Investor confidence is decreasing.

Market psychology is shifting.

Capital flows are turning negative.

Following these negative developments, it would not be wrong to say that potential market maps may be redrawn.

What is Usdt.d?

Think of all the stablecoins in the crypto market. Among them are USDT, USDC, USDE, and many others. This is exactly where usdt.d comes into play. The total amount of USDT circulating in the market, relative to the overall crypto market capitalization, gives us this metric. In short, it shows what percentage of investors’ funds currently sit in USDT.

Why Is USDT Dominance Important?

As mentioned earlier, usdt.d helps us follow certain strategic pathways. When this ratio increases, it indicates that investors are moving out of risky assets and into USDT as a “safe haven.” When this shift occurs, we see that market participants are favoring stablecoins.

In this article, you may also want to check out: The Critical Ethereum Update Date Is Approaching!

What Is Happening in November 2025?

As of November 2025, the long-standing 6% usdt.d resistance, unbroken since 2022, has finally been breached. This 6% zone was the top of a declining trend, and if momentum continues here, we could move toward another major breakout.

After giving an internal structural breakout and then moving sideways, usdt.d appears likely to retest the highlighted zone. If a pullback occurs to this level and it fails to close above 6.28%, we expect the downward movement to continue toward the 5.81% region. Investors without existing positions or those looking for new opportunities may consider entering positions if the price approaches the 6.28% level.

ETH’s perpetual futures volume also reached 67%, meaning two-thirds of all crypto perpetual contracts were executed in Ethereum.

Glassnode reports show that investors continue to favor high-risk positions despite rising inflation concerns in the U.S. While BTC-ETH open interest is converging, leveraged traders are showing strong preference for ETH. Bitcoin’s spot dominance stands at 59.42%, while Ethereum is at 13.62%. However, in open interest, the gap narrows: Bitcoin holds 56.7%, ETH 43.3%. This indicates Ethereum’s growing prominence among risk-seeking investors.

ETH’s Market Position and Trading Volume

The surge in Ethereum’s futures volume reflects strong investor interest in the altcoin sector. Additionally, ETH’s share of perpetual futures hit a record high, proving investors are willing to take more risks. This trend could translate into short-term price performance for Ethereum.

Glassnode notes that although Bitcoin recently reached all-time highs, Ethereum largely guided market direction. As a result, ETH’s open interest dominance increased, and investors maintained a bullish outlook. Furthermore, Fed decisions on interest rates directly influence ETH’s potential to outperform BTC. If Jerome Powell signals a move toward rate cuts at the Jackson Hole meeting, Ethereum is expected to rise faster.

In conclusion, ETH’s record open interest in futures demonstrates growing investor attention and hints at a potential altcoin season. Moreover, current market trends position Ethereum as a key focus for crypto traders in the near term.

Bitcoin breaks records one after another, analysts believe BTC could make a new ATH.

While eyes in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market are on the Nonfarm Employment data to be released from the US today, Bitcoin ETF inflows are breaking new records.

In addition to ETF records, another record was broken in Bitcoin. Accordingly, Bitcoin open positions reached a peak of $37 billion, and a new record was broken in BTC futures positions.

The consecutive records in Bitcoin indicate positive market sentiment and expectations that BTC will reach all-time highs in the coming weeks.

Latest Developments in Bitcoin:

Bitcoin price has risen from $68,500 to $71,000 since Monday.

According to Coinglass data, over $5 billion in open positions have been added to Bitcoin.

In the $37.7 billion open position, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) holds $11 billion, followed by Binance with $8 billion.

Looking at the Long-Short position ratio, the data shows that the ratio has exceeded 1 from Thursday’s 0.94 on Friday.

According to this, a ratio above 1 means that long positions are more than short positions, which indicates that market sentiment towards

Bitcoin is positive. Conversely, a ratio below 1 indicates that there is a lot of negative sentiment towards Bitcoin.

Based on this ratio, many analysts expect BTC to rise further in the coming weeks, while Ruslan Lienka, CEO of the crypto exchange

YouHodler, said that new ATHs could be seen in BTC.

Speaking to Coindesk, Ruslan Lienka said:

“Bitcoin could break the resistance level in the $71,000-$73,000 range and renew its all-time highs in the coming weeks, fueled by optimism in the financial markets.

Such a positive sentiment stems from expectations of interest rate cuts that encourage capital inflows into risky assets in the US and Europe.

Also, increased trading activity in meme stocks like GameStop and low-priced stocks indicates the growing risk appetite for risky assets.”
