Market uncertainty often triggers users’ biggest fear: “What happens if I lose my key?” This is where Kresus comes in. Thanks to biometric data and a fragmented key system, you can always access your assets even if you forget your password. This system combines the security of traditional banking with the freedom of blockchain.

Kresus is a self-custody mobile wallet built on the Base and Solana networks, designed to combine the highest yield opportunities with the highest security. It gives users full control over their digital assets while merging the convenience of centralized exchanges with the freedom of DeFi. It is designed for users who want to enter the blockchain world without dealing with complex wallet structures.

With ERC-4337 technology and Account Abstraction, Kresus enables more flexible transactions without gas fee concerns. It provides hardware-level security without requiring a physical device, ensuring your assets remain secure at all times.

The application is currently available only on mobile platforms: iOS and Android.

Who Runs Kresus?

Trevor Traina – CEO and Founder
Serial entrepreneur and investor. He has achieved successful exits with Mastercard, Microsoft, and Intuit. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and served as the former U.S. Ambassador to Austria.

Omer Khan – CTO
Blockchain and Web3 infrastructure expert. He has over 16 years of engineering and team management experience at Apple and Barclays.

Sean O’Neill – Head of Partnerships
He has established partnerships with Riot Games, Disney, and the GRAMMYs, and has global sponsorship experience at Mastercard.

Lucas Harris – Head of Operations
Experienced in startup and operations management, specializing in product development and scaling.

Francesco Bini – Head of Marketing
Over 6 years of experience in Web3 and NFTs, specializing in marketing strategies and data analysis.

Strategic Partnerships

Kresus has attracted attention not only from crypto-native players but also from Wall Street and traditional technology firms.

Solana Ventures

Ripple

Liberty City Ventures

Craft Ventures

Franklin Templeton

JetBlue Ventures

This support enables Kresus to continuously deliver innovation and a strong wallet experience to its users.

Security and How It Works

Kresus is designed to protect users, even from themselves. When the app is installed, a smart wallet is automatically created in the background using the ERC-4337 standard. Your private keys are not stored directly on your phone but are isolated within a secure hardware module. Transactions are approved using biometric authentication and two-factor authentication (2FA), ensuring access to your assets even if you forget your password.

There is no need for a seed phrase; access is enabled through phone verification and biometric security. This structure transforms the concept of “be your own bank” into “have the comfort of your own bank.”

What Problems Does Kresus Solve?

Kresus makes on-chain finance as easy and secure as centralized exchanges while maintaining full user control over assets. Self-custody wallets are often complex or lack sufficient security; Kresus addresses this gap.

Smart Money Insights: Successful trader activity on Base and Solana is analyzed to provide users with decision-supporting insights. This feature is free.

Coinbase Integration: Users can easily transfer existing exchange assets into Kresus.

Free Transactions: New users receive 35 free transactions on Base and Solana.

Mini Apps (PWA): Secure and seamless access to dApps directly within the wallet.

Kresus Domain: Provides user-friendly crypto addresses, eliminating long and complex wallet addresses.

Yield Strategies and “Copy the Pros”

Features that make Kresus more than just a storage wallet:

Automatic Compounding Yield (Earn): Offers up to 46% APY on assets such as BTC, SOL, and USDC through Solana Jupiter strategies (market volatility may affect these rates).

Copy the Pros: Enables users to track and replicate historically profitable wallets in real time.

MiniApps & World Platform: Users can stake WLD to earn variable APY between 25% and 200%, along with daily $MINI rewards.

Kresus Ecosystem and Roadmap

Kresus holds a strong position within the Base and Solana ecosystems. Users experience centralized exchange-level security combined with DeFi-level yield opportunities. Although there is no fully detailed public roadmap, known developments and investments indicate the following trajectory:

2023–2025: Launch of the consumer-focused mobile wallet, insurance integration ($10K coverage in Pro plan), Base and Solana support, Pro subscription ($9.99/month), Coinbase and Jupiter integrations. Partnerships established with World MiniApps, Sotheby’s Metaverse, and Unstoppable Domains.

Late 2025: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Hanwha Investment & Securities, announced during Abu Dhabi Finance Week.

2026 and beyond: A $13 million strategic investment from Hanwha will support the development and deployment of enterprise-grade digital wallet infrastructure globally. The Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization platform is planned to expand, enabling tokenized funds, bonds, and traditional financial instruments. Institutional integrations will improve on-chain financial workflows, and new global partnerships will be formed. MPC security, seedless recovery, and tokenization tools will be adapted to institutional standards.

In the near term, Kresus aims to expand AI integrations, grow its mini-app ecosystem, and enhance user experience through premium Kresus domains. This information is based on Hanwha investment announcements, CoinDesk and Ventureburn reports, and official X posts.

2026 marks a new era of responsibility for Bitcoin holders. Cyber threats are growing increasingly sophisticated, and simply storing a password is no longer enough. Choosing the right wallet has become a critical step in protecting your assets. Hardware and self-custody wallets provide a secure barrier for large holdings, while mobile and software wallets offer quick and practical solutions for daily use.

Hackers in 2026 don’t rely solely on code—they can use AI-generated voices and visuals to trick users. This makes device-based confirmation features on Ledger or Trezor hardware wallets crucial as the last line of defense against digital impersonation attacks.

1. Bitamp: Browser-Based Privacy Wallet

Bitamp is a hot wallet accessible via browser without any app installation, performing all operations client-side (on the user’s device).

What it is: An interface that processes all data locally on your device, without sending information to any server.

Pros: No account required, fully anonymous, eliminates risks of downloading fake apps.

Cons: Being online, it’s less secure than a hardware wallet.

Best for: Users who want fast, anonymous, and simple BTC transfers.

2. Ledger Nano S Plus: Certified Hardware Lock

Ledger stores Bitcoin completely offline in a physical device, a cold storage solution.

What it is: A physical device with a high-security Secure Element chip, never exposing private keys to the internet.

Pros: Transactions require physical button confirmation, preventing remote hacks.

Cons: Must connect the device to a computer or phone via cable for usage.

Best for: HODL investors storing large amounts of Bitcoin for years.

3. Trezor Safe 3: Open-Source Transparent Case

Trezor, the world’s first hardware wallet maker, offers the Safe 3 model with fully auditable software.

What it is: Open-source firmware ensures no hidden backdoors exist and allows independent security verification.

Pros: Equipped with physical protection chips; highly trusted by cybersecurity experts.

Cons: Slightly more technical to use compared to Ledger.

Best for: Users who value transparency and want verifiable security.

4. Electrum: Desktop Bitcoin Management Software

Electrum has been on the market since 2011, offering advanced desktop wallet features for Bitcoin only.

What it is: Software installed on your computer that communicates directly with the Bitcoin network, giving full control over your transactions.

Pros: Multi-signature support, allows multiple devices to approve a single transaction.

Cons: Minimalist interface; incorrect settings can lead to fund loss.

Best for: Technically skilled users who want full control over Bitcoin security.

5. BlueWallet: Mobile-Focused Daily Wallet

BlueWallet is optimized for smartphones, balancing usability and security.

What it is: Turns your phone into a wallet while keeping private keys in the device’s secure environment.

Pros: Lightning Network support enables almost instant, low-cost Bitcoin transfers.

Cons: Losing or having your phone stolen is a risk; not ideal for large balances.

Best for: Active users making small, everyday Bitcoin transactions.

Security strategy for 2026: Store large holdings in a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, while using mobile wallets like BlueWallet for daily spending.

You can also freely share your thoughts and comments about the topic in the comment section.

As the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem grows, one of the biggest problems users face continues to be complex interfaces, multiple wallet usage, seed phrase management, and cross-chain transaction difficulties. Infinex (INX) stands out as a next-generation DeFi platform that focuses on user experience and aims to eliminate these problems.

Infinex integrates multiple blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon under a single structure, aiming to provide users with safer, simpler, and more accessible access to DeFi protocols. The platform’s core vision is to combine the practical experience offered by centralized exchanges with the transparency and self-custody of decentralized finance.

What Does Infinex (INX) Aim For?

Infinex stands out as an ambitious project aiming to fundamentally change the user experience in the DeFi world. Its passkey approach that eliminates the seed phrase requirement, unified portfolio structure, and trading experience close to centralized exchanges make the platform particularly attractive for users transitioning from CeFi to DeFi.

With its strong investor profile, experienced team structure, and multi-chain architecture, Infinex is among the projects with the potential to play a significant role in the next evolution of DeFi.

Infinex’s primary goal is to eliminate the user experience gap between centralized finance (CeFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). Until now, DeFi has struggled to reach broad audiences due to its structure requiring technical knowledge. Infinex aims to remove these barriers and make crypto more usable for everyone.

The platform eliminates the need for users to switch between different applications and wallets by offering a single wallet, a single portfolio view, and cross-chain transaction support.

Key Features of Infinex (INX)

Passkey-Focused Wallet Structure

Infinex abandons the traditional seed phrase logic and adopts a passkey-first security model. User accounts are protected with biometric authentication and passkeys. This structure provides a more resilient security layer against phishing attacks.

Self-Custody

The platform has a non-custodial structure. Users fully retain control of their assets. Private keys are securely managed through the Turnkey infrastructure.

Unified Portfolio

Infinex offers a unified portfolio structure that displays assets across different chains in a single panel. Users do not have to track their assets on Ethereum, Solana, and other supported networks separately.

Cross-Chain Swap and Bridge

Any token can be swapped on any blockchain via Infinex. The platform automatically handles cross-chain bridging and token swaps in the background thanks to over 25 direct integrations.

Products and Services Offered Through Infinex (INX)

Perpetual Futures

Infinex enables in-app perpetual futures trading. Users can trade with up to 40x leverage thanks to the Hyperliquid infrastructure. This structure aims to offer a trading experience similar to centralized exchanges under the DeFi umbrella.

Earn & Yield

The platform allows users to earn passive income from their assets. Products providing yield on ETH, SOL, and stablecoins are available in Infinex’s earn module.

Wallet Extension

With Infinex’s browser extension, users can easily connect to their favorite dApps. This extension offers the functions of classic wallet extensions with a simpler interface.

NFT Integration

The NFT module is in early access. Users can view their NFTs on a single platform and trade on marketplaces like OpenSea, Magic Eden, and Blur.

Prediction Markets

Infinex is also integrating prediction markets in early access. Users can take positions on various scenarios.

Mastercard announced on November 18, 2025, that it has selected the Polygon network to bring verified usernames to self-custody wallets. This move will allow users to transact using easy-to-remember aliases instead of long, complex wallet addresses. The goal is to provide a secure and user-friendly experience in the crypto space.

Mastercard and Polygon Collaboration

Mastercard’s “Crypto Credential” solution aims to enable secure interactions on the blockchain. Mercuryo will handle user verification and create the usernames. The Polygon network offers high transaction speed and low costs, making it the ideal infrastructure for this solution. As a result, blockchain transactions become both fast and secure.

“Instead of copying and checking long hexadecimal strings, users can transact using a single, verified alias recognized across the Mastercard Crypto Credential network,” the release stated. “This approach improves trust, reduces user error, and brings the familiarity of traditional payment flows into self-custody wallets.”

Soulbound Token and Verification Mechanism

The system uses a “soulbound token”–like structure to indicate that a user is verified. This token proves on-chain that a wallet address belongs to a verified user. Users can transact using aliases linked to their wallets. This structure provides significant convenience for self-custody wallet users.

User Experience and the Crypto Ecosystem

This new feature aims to improve the user experience within the blockchain ecosystem. Human-readable aliases reduce the risk of errors, especially for new users. Moreover, verification processes and the token structure make transactions more transparent and secure. Meanwhile, Polygon’s scalable infrastructure enables the system to handle high demand efficiently.

Raj Dhamodharan, Mastercard Vice President of Blockchain and Digital Assets, told PYMNTS: “All of this comes down to what consumers and businesses want. It’s not just about cost, but also trust, simplicity, and convenience. Customers want an end-to-end experience. For consumer adoption, most people won’t even know they’re using stablecoins. In the U.S., there’s already a robust electronic infrastructure of wallets, bank accounts, etc. Crypto-native users may interact directly with the blockchain, but most won’t.”

Users can request a token on Polygon that demonstrates their wallets support verified transfers and helps applications route transactions based on identity data.

Key Benefits

Wallet transactions with easy-to-remember aliases

Secure verification for self-custody wallets

On-chain verification via soulbound token

Fast and low-cost transactions via Polygon network

User-friendly experience in the crypto ecosystem

Mastercard and Polygon’s collaboration aims to enhance user trust in crypto transactions. Announced on November 18, 2025, this solution makes blockchain interactions both secure and user-friendly. Verified usernames and self-custody wallet integration represent a significant innovation in the crypto space.

Cyberattacks in the crypto market are increasing, raising concerns among investors. In the first half of 2025, the total value of stolen assets exceeded $2 billion, pushing investors toward self-custody solutions such as hardware wallets.

According to Chainalysis, the total cryptocurrency stolen from individual wallets and exchanges reached $2.17 billion during the same period. This represents a 35% increase compared to the same period last year. Moreover, around 23% of the stolen assets came from individual wallets, highlighting the growing security risks for personal crypto holdings.

Crypto Thefts in the First Half of 2025

During the first six months of 2025, cyberattacks on cryptocurrency exchanges resulted in significant losses. Financial Times reported on November 9, 2025, that the total stolen assets exceeded $2 billion. The largest single incident, the Bybit hack, attributed to North Korean-linked groups, involved approximately $1.5 billion in stolen funds. These figures underscore the need for investors to adopt stricter security measures.

Why Investors Are Moving to Their Own Wallets

Centralized exchange custody solutions carry significant risks due to high-volume attacks. Hardware wallets provide protection by keeping private keys under user control, reducing vulnerability to hacks.

Additionally, self-custody solutions help minimize the risks associated with centralized exchanges and increase the overall security of crypto assets.

The Importance of Self-Custody Solutions

Hardware wallets and cold storage systems are critical for investors. By storing crypto assets offline, these solutions prevent potential hacking attempts. Experts predict that self-custody practices will become increasingly popular in the future.

Hardware wallet manufacturers report a significant increase in sales due to growing security concerns. Ledger, Trezor, and Tangem stand out in the market. Analysts note that both individual and institutional users are turning toward secure storage solutions.

Benefits of Self-Custody:

Full control over assets

High protection against cyberattacks

Reduced centralized exchange risk

Trust Wallet, the world’s leading self-custody Web3 wallet with over 210 million users, continues to solidify its position in the crypto ecosystem. The platform recently unveiled its ambitious roadmap, aiming to expand its user base while driving growth centered around Trust Wallet Token (TWT). These developments have contributed to a significant surge in TWT’s market performance.

Trust Wallet’s Role in the Crypto Ecosystem

Launched in 2017, Trust Wallet now supports more than 100 blockchains and hundreds of digital assets. Beyond providing secure storage for users’ crypto holdings, it safeguards over $30 billion in assets, establishing itself as a trusted wallet globally.

Trust Wallet acts as a gateway for millions, enabling daily financial activities, NFT management, DeFi interactions, and access to tokenized real-world assets (RWA). Today, one in every three crypto owners chooses Trust Wallet as their primary wallet.

The New Roadmap: Preparing for the Next Billion Users

The newly announced roadmap is structured around four growth pillars, each designed to make crypto more accessible, seamless, and rewarding for users:

1. Redefined Everyday Finance

Effortless cross-chain transfers, gas-free transactions, and fraud protection, alongside spending options through Trust Card, Trust Pay, and Virtual Accounts.

2. Advanced Trading Experience

Trust Wallet is transforming into a full-featured trading hub centered on self-custody. Features include up to 100x leveraged perpetual contracts, prediction markets, and best-in-class cross-chain swaps, providing a CEX-like experience without compromising personal custody.

3. Earn, Grow, Repeat

TWT unlocks earning and compounded yield opportunities, fostering both adoption and loyalty. Users gain access to VIP perks, reward-focused community programs, and can participate in TGE airdrops while maximizing returns through staking and lending options.

4. The Unwritten Future

The roadmap envisions expansion into identity verification, credit services, embedded DeFi, and next-generation ownership models, paving the way for future innovations.

TWT Price Outlook

Following the roadmap announcement, TWT has demonstrated strong market momentum. During the day, the token surged from $0.89 to $1.32, reflecting an approximate 48% gain, and is currently trading around $1.13.

This upward trend reflects investor confidence in Trust Wallet’s long-term vision and the growing utility of TWT within its ecosystem. The new roadmap, with its innovative growth strategies and expanded functionality, positions TWT for further attention and adoption in the coming months.

In oppressive regimes where control is often exerted through financial means, one digital tool is offering an escape route: Bitcoin. For many, it has become more than an asset — it’s a lifeline.

Bitcoin Offers A Shield Against Oppression

Speaking at the Bitcoin Policy Summit in Washington, D.C., Human Rights Foundation’s Chief Strategy Officer Alex Gladstein declared that Bitcoin is a major threat to authoritarian control. “Bitcoin is bad for dictators,” he emphasized, explaining how its decentralized nature prevents regimes from manipulating people financially.

You Might Be Interested In: Elon Musk Talks About the Name of a New Memecoin!

He pointed out that when used correctly, Bitcoin allows individuals to remain anonymous and evade state surveillance. “If they don’t link their ID to it, governments can’t track them,” he noted.

No Freezing, No Deleting, No Hyperinflation

Gladstein argued that those who control their own wallets are immune to many authoritarian tactics. “Governments can’t freeze your funds, they can’t delete your assets, and most importantly, they can’t hyperinflate you,” he said. In countries where inflation runs rampant, Bitcoin serves as a valuable hedge.

The HRF’s first real-world experiment with Bitcoin dates back to 2013, during Ukraine’s pro-democracy protests. Protesters, who had their bank accounts frozen, used Bitcoin to support their cause. “We were skeptical at first — Bitcoin was just $100 back then — but it worked,” he recalled.

Now, Gladstein says, the technology is proving invaluable for people living under authoritarian rule around the globe, providing financial autonomy and protection from state overreach.

3 Billion Cardholders Gain Access To Crypto

Chainlink, the decentralized oracle network provider, has partnered with Mastercard to enable over 3 billion cardholders to buy crypto directly onchain.
This non-custodial system uses account abstraction for simplicity and is designed to be accessible to everyone—not just crypto enthusiasts, according to Chainlink Labs.

Mastercard Expands Its Digital Asset Strategy

In 2024 and 2025, Mastercard has embraced the crypto space with bold moves. In April, it launched crypto debit cards with Kraken across Europe and partnered with MetaMask to introduce a self-custody card. It also tokenized 30% of its 2024 transactions.

Rival payments giant Visa is also active in the crypto sector.
This new Chainlink–Mastercard initiative could significantly boost mainstream crypto adoption by reducing technical friction and enhancing trust.

As the demand for self-custody solutions continues to grow across the crypto space, Safe has introduced a major new initiative. The company has established Safe Labs, a newly formed subsidiary dedicated to building enterprise-level wallet infrastructure. This move is aimed at enabling large institutions to manage on-chain assets securely and with maximum flexibility.

Modular Security with Smart Accounts

Safe Labs is developing its products using Safe’s modular Smart Account architecture — a smart contract-based wallet system that prioritizes security, adaptability, and user control. The ultimate goal is to offer a seamless and secure digital asset management experience for enterprise users.

According to Safe co-founder Lukas Schor, the success of Web3 hinges on empowering users with complete control over their digital assets. Safe Labs is a step forward in building infrastructure that supports this digital sovereignty, with a focus on institutional-grade quality.

A Proven Leader at the Helm

Safe Labs is led by Rahul Rumalla, a seasoned expert with over 15 years of experience in product and engineering leadership. Rumalla previously served as Safe’s Chief Product Officer and has also founded Web3 ventures like Paperchain and Otterspace. His background includes a role as Director of Engineering at SoundCloud.

Rumalla emphasized that Safe Labs is targeting “any organization managing or exposing users to on-chain value.” In fact, many businesses are already using Safe’s infrastructure — some for years.

Currently, Safe secures $60 billion in digital assets, facilitates around 4% of all Ethereum transactions, and supports approximately 10% of all EVM-based smart accounts.

Why Self-Custody Matters for Institutions

Self-custody means individuals or entities retain full control over their private keys without relying on third-party custodians. For institutions, this is particularly critical for minimizing risk and enhancing control over funds.

Many opt for multisignature setups, where multiple keys are needed to authorize transactions. However, this introduces another layer of complexity and potential risk: blind signing.

The Ongoing Challenge of Blind Signing

Blind signing occurs when users approve a transaction on a hardware wallet without seeing full transaction details on the device itself. This typically happens because the wallet doesn’t natively support the custom data or smart contract logic involved.

Such situations have led to major vulnerabilities. A key example is the $1.4 billion Bybit hack in early 2024, where blind signing — combined with a compromised developer device — played a major role in the breach.

Despite advances, Safe’s current smart account system still requires blind signing for certain interactions. Experts argue that solving this challenge will require tighter integration between smart contract wallet developers like Safe and hardware wallet manufacturers such as Ledger and Trezor.

Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier has openly criticized blind signing practices, comparing them to “signing blank checks online” — a sentiment echoed throughout the industry.

As cryptocurrency becomes increasingly relevant in daily financial life, the boundaries between digital assets and traditional banking are rapidly disappearing. The latest development from Kima and Mastercard marks another milestone in this evolution — enabling stablecoin top-ups for prepaid cards.

Kima Joins Mastercard’s Sandbox Program

Kima, a decentralized settlement protocol, has integrated into Mastercard’s sandbox initiative. This integration allows prepaid cards to be topped up with USDC and Tether’s USDt stablecoins directly from self-custody wallets. The solution supports over 10 different blockchain networks.

Kima CEO Eitan Katz emphasized the practicality of stablecoins for everyday use, noting the system removes intermediaries and simplifies crypto-to-fiat conversion. “Our goal at Kima is to eliminate barriers between digital assets and traditional finance,” Katz stated.

Interoperable and Asset-Agnostic Infrastructure

Katz described Kima’s infrastructure as asset-agnostic and built for interoperability. The protocol supports public blockchains, private ledgers, and traditional banking systems — simplifying cross-ecosystem value transfer.

You Might Be Interested In: Elon Musk Talks About the Name of a New Memecoin!

This initiative aligns with Mastercard’s broader mission to mainstream stablecoins. Katz added that crypto and fiat shouldn’t be seen as opposites, but rather as complementary tools in the modern financial ecosystem.

Supporting ECB’s Digital Euro Initiative

Earlier this month, the European Central Bank (ECB) selected Kima as one of 70 private-sector firms to collaborate on the digital euro initiative. ECB board member Piero Cipollone praised the range of proposals, calling them a “catalyst for financial innovation” in Europe.

Despite its institutional integrations, Kima ensures that users maintain full control over their private keys. Compliance checks, including AML and KYC, are managed externally, and every transaction is cryptographically validated at the protocol level.
