Unusual activity in the cryptocurrency market has recently drawn significant attention, particularly on Binance spot exchange. Sharp and sudden price movements in the BROCCOLI714–USDT trading pair have raised serious concerns about the security of a market maker account operating on the platform. According to market observers, there is strong suspicion that one of Binance’s market maker accounts may have been compromised.

The incident has reignited discussions around exchange security, privileged accounts, and the potential systemic risks they pose when misused.

Sudden Price Surge Fueled by $10–20 Million

Reports suggest that a potential attacker gained access to a market maker account on Binance holding between $10 million and $20 million in capital. Using these funds, the attacker allegedly executed aggressive buy orders in the BROCCOLI714–USDT pair on Binance’s spot market.

Due to relatively low liquidity in the pair, the impact of these large purchases was immediate and dramatic. Within a very short timeframe, the token’s price surged by approximately 16 times (16x). The move demonstrated how quickly substantial capital can distort price discovery in lower-liquidity altcoin markets.

Rapid Rise Followed by an Equally Sharp Collapse

Despite the explosive rally, the price increase proved to be unsustainable. Shortly after reaching its peak, BROCCOLI714 experienced a rapid sell-off, retracing almost the entire move and returning close to its original price levels.

This sequence of events closely resembles a classic pump-and-dump pattern. However, the suspected involvement of a compromised market maker account adds a more serious dimension to the situation, raising concerns beyond typical market manipulation narratives.

Market Maker Accounts Under the Spotlight

Market makers play a crucial role in maintaining liquidity and orderly trading on centralized exchanges. However, this incident highlights the risks associated with accounts that control large amounts of capital and have elevated operational privileges.

At the time of writing, Binance has not issued an official statement confirming or denying whether a market maker account was hacked. Nevertheless, the scale and speed of the price movement suggest that this was not a routine market event.

Broader Implications for Exchange Security

The situation underscores the importance of robust security measures for institutional and market maker accounts. If compromised, such accounts can introduce extreme volatility, undermine market confidence, and expose retail participants to significant risk.

As developments continue to unfold, the crypto community is closely monitoring the situation, particularly in terms of transparency, accountability, and preventive measures going forward.

This content does not constitute investment advice. Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile, and individuals should conduct their own research before making any investment decisions.

You can also freely share your thoughts and comments about the topic in the comment section.

The decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem continues to offer increasingly sophisticated financial products beyond mere spot trading and classic staking models. One of the most recent examples of this transformation is RateX (RTX), an innovative multi-chain structure that enables leveraged yield trading by putting yield at the center. RateX positions itself as the world’s first “Universal Structured Finance Layer” solution.

What is RateX (RTX)?

RateX offers an advanced financial infrastructure that aims to radically change the way yield is priced in DeFi. By separating yield from principal, enabling leveraged yield trading, and offering fixed-yield alternatives, it clearly distinguishes itself from classic DEX and lending protocols.

Especially for professional users and investors developing yield-based strategies, RateX stands out as one of the projects signaling the next phase of DeFi.

Its core goal is to enable yield-bearing assets to be bought and sold in a more efficient, flexible, and capital-optimized way. Unlike classic DeFi protocols, RateX makes it possible to price, separate, and trade yield in a leveraged manner.

What Does RateX Do?

RateX is a multi-chain margin and spot yield trading protocol. It allows users to trade not only on asset prices but directly on the yield itself. The platform’s core functions can be summarized under the following headings:

Yield tokenization

Separation of yield and principal

Leveraged yield trading

Earning fixed yield

Yield-focused liquidity provision

Thanks to this structure, users can directly profit from changes in yield rates or lock in future yields today.

Yield-Bearing Asset (YBA) Concept

The foundational building block of RateX is yield-bearing assets (YBA), which are tokens that generate passive income through staking, lending, or liquidity provision. Examples include:

mSOL

JitoSOL

stETH

GLP

YBA are divided into three main groups based on their yield distribution method:

Rebase tokens: Yield is reflected by increasing token count

Accumulate tokens: Yield is reflected by increasing token price

Distribute tokens: Yield is distributed as separate rewards

RateX makes all these different structures tradable under a single standard.

RateX’s Unified Yield Tokenization Model

RateX splits yield into three main token structures to make it tradable:

What is Standard Token (ST)?

Standard Token (ST) is the standardized form of the YBA. The price of ST is always fixed to the reference asset (quoting asset); yield is reflected by an increase in token count.

For example, while JitoSOL normally provides yield through price appreciation, in the ST-JitoSOL structure the price stays fixed and the token count increases. This separates yield from price fluctuations.

Key advantages of ST:

1:1 pricing with the reference asset

Transparent and predictable yield reflection

Accurate pricing of yield tokens

What is Yield Token (YT)?

Yield Token (YT) represents the yield that a ST will produce over a specific maturity period. The YT holder has the right to receive all yield generated until maturity.

The most important feature of YT:

They naturally decay in value over time

As maturity approaches, the value of YT approaches zero because less future yield remains. This makes YT naturally volatile and speculative.

What is Principal Token (PT)?

Principal Token (PT) represents only the principal portion of the YBA. Since the yield component is separated, holding PT until maturity provides fixed yield.

Core logic of PT:

Bought at a discounted price today

Converts 1:1 back to ST at maturity

Yield is locked in advance

This structure stands out especially for users who want to avoid yield uncertainty.

Leveraged Yield Trading

The most distinctive feature of RateX is that Yield Tokens can be traded with leverage. Users can open long or short positions on YT by depositing only margin.

Users expecting yield to increase → long YT

Users expecting yield to decrease → short YT

The platform offers up to 10x leverage, significantly increasing capital efficiency.

Earn Fixed Yield: Fixed Yield Mechanism

RateX also provides solutions for users who want fixed yield, not just speculation. With the Earn Fixed Yield feature, users can:

Deposit YBA

Sell the yield component

Lock principal and earn fixed APY

This mechanism offers a traditional-finance-like experience for investors who want to lock in variable yield.

Liquidity Provision and AMM Structure

RateX has a specially designed Automated Market Maker (AMM) infrastructure for yield trading. This structure features:

Uniswap v3-style concentrated liquidity

Model compatible with time-decaying YT

Impermanent loss that decreases over time

LPs deposit YBA to produce ST and YT and earn from three sources:

YBA yield

Trading fee rebates

PnL from counterparty positions

Liquidation and Risk Management

Due to leveraged trading, RateX has a strong liquidation mechanism. The system monitors position health using the Collateral Ratio (CR) metric.

The liquidation process has three stages:

Insurance Fund steps in

Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) is applied

If necessary, LPs become the last line of defense

This structure aims to keep the protocol resilient against systemic risks.

RTX Tokenomics

RTX is the native token of the RateX ecosystem.

RTX Token Information

Maximum supply: 100,000,000

Initial circulating supply: 16,660,000

Multi-chain: Solana and BSC

What Does RTX Do?

Buyback with protocol revenue

Staking to gain rights to create new markets

Ecosystem incentives

RateX plans to use up to 30% of total ecosystem revenue for RTX buybacks.

Token Distribution and Vesting

Team: 20% – 12-month cliff, 36-month vesting

Treasury: 20% – 5% at TGE, 36-month vesting

Investors: 15.82% – unlock at month 12 • Ecosystem & Community: 44.18%

6.66% of total supply is allocated for Season 1 airdrop.

RateX Investors

RateX has raised a total of $7 million. Among the backers are:

In DeFi, collateral is often siloed: Assets deposited in a lending pool can’t simultaneously back order book positions or serve as futures margin. Liquidity is fragmented, pricing is static, and risk management relies on delayed oracles. Flying Tulip (FT) tackles these issues head-on: an on-chain financial system offering spot trading (AMM + CLOB), lending, perpetual futures, insurance, and a settlement rail (ftUSD) with a single collateral base. The same deposit earns base yield while securing lending, CLOB orders, or futures margin. Pricing and risk derive from real executable liquidity—no static tables or lagging oracles. Protocol revenues flow transparently and programmatically into token buybacks.

In this article, we’ll dive into Flying Tulip’s architecture, products, tokenomics, and roadmap. Ready to explore the new benchmark for capital efficiency?

What is Flying Tulip (FT)?

Flying Tulip is an on-chain financial ecosystem that standardizes pricing, credit, and risk. It includes Spot (AMM + CLOB), lending, perpetual futures, insurance, and ftUSD settlement rail. Core principle: One collateral serves multiple roles. Revenues drive FT token buybacks and burns—a “token-first” model.

Better Yield: Collateral earns base yield while backing lending, CLOB orders, or futures margin. Revenues fuel buybacks. Better UX: Mechanics are contract-encoded; the same depth-aware prices power trading, LTVs, funding, and liquidations.

Problems and Solutions

Capital Isolation: Traditional DeFi silos collateral per product. Flying Tulip’s permissioned credit layer enables cross-collateral—one deposit secures multiple activities while continuing to earn yield.

Fragmented Liquidity & Static Pricing: x·y=k AMMs are reliable but produce wide spreads and volatility losses. Flying Tulip Spot uses a hybrid curve: constant-sum in calm markets (tight spreads), constant-product in stress (LP protection). Pricing comes from real executable liquidity.

USD-Centric Debt Assumptions: Lending risks are often USD-denominated. Flying Tulip supports asset-consistent borrowing and portfolio cross-margining—permissionless markets stay pair-scoped.

Centralized Dependencies: Perpetuals depend on external oracles. FT Futures uses internal trading (AMM + CLOB) for sub-second updates and depth-aware limits—eliminating oracle lag/manipulation risks.

System Design

Trading Engine: Spot (AMM + CLOB) – Pricing Backbone

AMM: Transitions between constant-sum constant-product via volatility signals (EMAs). Pre-trade simulation, bounded impact, minimum reserves.

CLOB: Price-time-priority limit orders.

Router: Sweeps CLOB liquidity first, crosses remainder on AMM.

Windows: TWAP (time-weighted), RWAP (reserve-weighted)—executable price and depth source for downstream systems (LTV, funding, liquidation).

Lending: Permissionless + Permissioned Cross-Collateral

Permissionless: Every Spot pair auto-creates a lending market. Borrowing power is depth-aware from Spot windows. Snapshot LTV (locked at position open). Soft liquidation (time-sliced, depth-aware, CLOB-aware).

Permissioned: Curated assets in one pool with cross-collateral. Debt-netting for delta-neutral structures (ftUSD)—near-zero liquidation paths within configured bounds. Single deposit earns yield while backing orders and futures margin.

Perpetual Futures: Oracleless, Depth-Aware

Internal trading serves as oracle. Leverage limits, liquidation sizing, slippage guards from TWAR windows (“How much X for Y clears in this interval without breaching reserves?”). Funding tied to Lend borrowing costs. Settlement in ftUSD; opt-in settlement LPs earn fees.

Settlement Rail: ftUSD / sftUSD

ftUSD: Non-yielding (default), $1 peg. Protocol revenues from unstaked ftUSD.

sftUSD: Staked ftUSD—earns yield (variable, not guaranteed).

Structure: Delta-neutral, conservative sizing—balanced long/short.

Risk & Operations

Policy: Conservative allocation (no leverage/bridge for treasury), per-asset/venue caps, circuit breakers, staged parameter changes.

Execution: Pre-trade simulation, bounded fees (low in calm, high in stress), soft liquidation (time-sliced on Spot).

Transparency: Addresses, parameters, windows (TWAP/RWAP/TWAR), utilization, fee schedules published. Audits and incident processes documented.

Programmatic Value Flow

All revenues (trading, lending, futures, insurance, settlement) feed FT buyback pipeline. FT distributed or burned per policy. Revenue-funded burns govern unlocks (Foundation/Team/Ecosystem/Incentives 40:20:20:20, 1:1). Interest-only burns directly reduce supply.

Insurance: Pay-as-You-Go Protection

Model: Lending-like—premium paid only while active.

LP: Supplies pool → earns premiums.

Buyer: “Borrows” protection capacity, scales up/down.

Flying Tulip Roadmap

Development Cycle: Internal → Freeze → 3+ audits → GTM → Release.

Milestones (Dependency waterfall):

PCA: On-chain raise + Perpetual PUT.

Core Permissioned Stack: Lend, ftUSD, Leveraged Spot, Spot, Perpetual Futures.

Core Permissionless Stack: Adaptive AMM, Dynamic Lend, Permissionless Futures/Options.

Oracles & Apps: Witnessnet, Binary Prediction Markets, Launchpad, Insurance.

Estimated Timeline: 36-54 months (2-3 months per phase).

Flying Tulip Investors: $200M Raised, $1B Valuation

Flying Tulip, with its focus on capital preservation and sustainable value via yield-funded buybacks, raised $200 million at a $1 billion valuation. Backing spans leading VCs like CoinFund and Hypersphere to institutional players like DWF Labs and Brevan Howard Digital.

Flying Tulip Team

Flying Tulip was founded by Andre Cronje. The architect of Yearn Finance and Fantom, Cronje leads in DeFi capital efficiency and risk management. The team builds Flying Tulip from scratch with adaptive curves, oracleless futures, and token-first models—ending collateral isolation.

This marks the largest single-day withdrawal since these funds were launched. However, while things seem bleak on that front, one “golden horse” continues its inflow streak for the ninth consecutive day — and that is, of course, Solana. Solana ETFs extended their inflow streak to nine days with an additional $12.7 million investment on November 7.

Leaders of the Outflows

The largest outflows occurred in the following three funds:

Despite Everything, Solana Keeps Attracting Inflows

As of November 7, Solana Spot ETFs continued their inflow streak for the ninth consecutive day, with a net inflow of $12.69 million. Interest in Solana Spot ETFs has been growing steadily since October 28.

Aster DEX is a decentralized exchange platform that has recently garnered attention in the cryptocurrency world. Highlighted by a rare chart shared by Binance founder CZ, Aster DEX was established in July under the name Aster Chain, backed by YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) and PancakeSwap. Aiming to compete with platforms like Hyperliquid, it has achieved a trading volume of $1.11 billion in the derivatives market. In this article, we will explore what Aster DEX is and how to use it in detail.

What is Aster DEX?

Aster DEX is a next-generation decentralized perpetual exchange born from the 2024 merger of Astherus and APX Finance. It offers deep on-chain liquidity, one-click trading, and advanced tools for professional traders. The platform features two trading modes: Pro Mode with a full order book interface and low fees, and 1001x mode, providing on-chain, MEV-resistant one-click perpetuals.

The platform supports major networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, and Arbitrum, with spot trading fees at 0.10% maker and 0.04% taker, and perpetuals at 0.035% maker and 0.01% taker. While spot trading is limited, offering 8+ crypto pairs, perpetuals cover 93+ contracts, including crypto, forex, and stocks, with up to 100x leverage.

Purpose of Aster DEX

Aster DEX aims to make trading simple and powerful, supporting spot trading (token swaps), perpetual trading (leveraged futures contracts), and 1001x degen trading. The high-leverage 1001x mode, covering only BTC and ETH pairs, carries a risk of rapid liquidation, so starting small with proper risk management is recommended.

How to Use Aster DEX?

Depositing and withdrawing on Aster DEX requires attention to the correct wallet address and network due to its decentralized nature.

Before You Start:

EVM-Compatible Wallet: A wallet like MetaMask that supports Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Solana.

Funds in Web3 Wallet: Direct fund transfers to Aster DEX are not possible; connect a wallet and use the platform’s deposit function.

An exciting development has unfolded in the crypto market. Coinbase has officially completed its acquisition of Deribit, the world’s leading crypto options exchange. This move positions Coinbase as the most comprehensive global crypto derivatives platform.

Record Volumes on Deribit

Deribit leads the crypto options market in both trading volume and open interest. The platform currently holds approximately $59 billion in open interest. Over the past year, Deribit facilitated over $1 trillion in total trading, reaching a record $185 billion in monthly volume in July 2025.

Coinbase Expands Derivatives Offering

With this acquisition, Coinbase moves closer to offering a full spectrum of trading products—spot, futures, perpetuals, and options—on a single platform. Expanding the product range also enables greater global participation and deeper liquidity.

Perfect Timing for the Market

Coming at a time of rapidly growing institutional interest in the crypto options market, this deal positions Coinbase to lead the next wave of innovation. Deribit’s fast, capital-efficient, and battle-tested infrastructure serves as a strong complement to Coinbase’s expanding derivatives business.

11 spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US reported a combined net inflow of $301 million, extending their positive streak for a seventh consecutive day.

BlackRock’s IBIT, the largest spot Bitcoin ETF by net asset value, led the way with a net inflow of $117.25 million, according to SoSoValue data. The fund also became the most traded Bitcoin ETF on Monday with a volume of $1.24 billion. Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB followed closely with a net inflow of $117.19 million.

Fidelity’s FBTC saw $36.15 million in net inflows, and Bitwise’s BITB received $15.24 million on Monday. Funds from VanEck, Invesco, Galaxy Digital, and Franklin Templeton also reported net inflows yesterday.

Grayscale’s GBTC, along with ETFs from Valkyrie, WisdomTree, and Hashdex, experienced zero inflows on Monday.

A total of $2.26 billion was traded across US spot Bitcoin funds on Monday. The trading volume in spot Bitcoin ETFs remains lower compared to March, when volumes surpassed $8 billion on some days. However, the ETFs have accumulated a total net inflow of $16.11 billion since their launch in January.

Bitcoin recovered quickly and climbed above $64,000. The leading cryptocurrency is currently trading at $64,770 as of this writing.

BlackRock co-founder and CEO Larry Fink stated in an interview with CNBC on Monday that Bitcoin has become a “legitimate financial asset” and admitted his previous skepticism towards the cryptocurrency was misplaced.

Hong Kong Prepares for Spot Crypto ETF!! Gary Tiu, CEO of licensed cryptocurrency exchange OSL, said Hong Kong could potentially see the launch of its first spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the middle of this year.

The Hong Kong Economic Journal reported on Monday that Tiu said OSL is in close contact with many fund companies and that as many as 5 to 10 companies are currently working on an ETF.

Tiu added that about five of the companies are progressing faster than the others and that there is a possibility that Hong Kong could launch its first spot crypto ETFs in the middle of this year.

According to the media report, Tiu also acknowledged the pressure on the exchange to ensure that fees are not too high in its collaboration with fund companies, given that there are only two licensed cryptocurrency exchanges in the city.

Hong Kong Prepares for Spot Crypto ETF

Tiu said on Monday that the introduction of spot crypto ETFs would be a significant development for the crypto space in the city.

He also added: “These ETFs offer a number of important benefits, including encouraging regular markets for underlying digital assets, establishing a model for local investor protection, and accelerating the integration between regulated digital asset platforms and traditional financial institutions.”

The OSL executive’s comments come after another licensed cryptocurrency exchange in Hong Kong, HashKey, said earlier this month that it is in talks with asset managers to explore the launch of potential spot crypto ETFs.

HashKey’s chief operating officer, Livio Weng, revealed that about 10 fund companies have begun to explore the launch of such ETFs in the city.

Last week, Hong Kong-based financial services company Venture Smart Financial Holdings Ltd announced plans to launch a potential spot Bitcoin ETF in the first quarter, according to Bloomberg. The ETF is also expected to reach $500 million in assets under management by the end of this year.

With Bitget Futures, also Bitget exchange also offers this advantage to its users. Generally in the cryptocurrency market, users can do trading, either Spot, Futures, or Options. If you are just starting and you don’t know which side to take, you can try to read our blog post that will help you on this subject. You will see that your decision will be clearer when you think about this choice yet again after this.

If you have chosen the Futures side, let’s start preparing the Bitget Futures user guide for the platform you can use for this trading. The first thing you need to do, of course, will be to register with this exchange or log in. If you want to benefit more from logging in to the Bitget exchange, you can use the registration link where you can get a 10% commission discount exclusively for Coin Engineer followers.

Following logging in to the exchange, you can use the “Trade” button at the top panel on the main page and then the “Futures” button from the new panel opened after it. After clicking, you will be greeted by the Futures screen. If you have used similar fields before, this page will appear easier and more understandable to you.

From the screen that opens here, you can enter and manage your transactions and orders. Now, let’s generally discuss what the buttons and functions on the screen are for.

You might like: What is GRVT?

(1) First, you will see the “BTCUSDT” button in the top left corner of your Futures screen. You can use the small black triangle determined next to this button to proceed by determining the assets you want to trade and their pairs from the new tab that opens. You can even add them to your favorites by clicking on the “Star” sign next to them. Trying this on the pairs you frequently trade will be more beneficial in terms of speed.

(2) In the lower part of the previous button, you can see the graph part. Here, based on your predictions that the price will go down or up, you can enter Long/Short orders. On the right side of this graph is the Orderbook. This allows you to track your order flows. Order flows show where the price has strong buyers and sellers. You can also see Market Transactions here. You can understand instantly where the price will go by seeing these transactions.
