Donald Trump’s memecoin, TRUMP, is shifting its journey from the Solana network to Tron. The project team announced that the token will now be integrated into the Tron (TRX) blockchain as well. This development stands out as a major step in the crypto world. The Trump Team shared an official statement on X, saying: “TRUMP Token is coming to the TRON network. Stay tuned!”

TRUMP Token’s Expansion to Tron and Its Importance

TRUMP token launched in January on the Solana network with a 1 billion supply. Now, by migrating to Tron, the project aims to boost both trading volume and accessibility. Tron founder Justin Sun supported the announcement and reiterated his public endorsement of Trump. As one of the token’s most notable backers, Sun’s involvement is seen as crucial for wider adoption and reduced transaction costs.

Tron offers low transaction fees and fast transfers, which could significantly improve user experience. Moreover, with LayerZero’s cross-chain infrastructure, the token can easily be transferred across different blockchains.
Trump & Justin Sun Alliance: Political and Technological Impacts

Justin Sun describes Trump’s engagement with the crypto industry as a “turning point.” The partnership between Trump and Sun became clear during a private dinner in May for TRUMP holders at Mar-a-Lago. Key figures like Magic Eden CEO Jack Lu and BitMart CEO Sheldon Xia were also present at the event. It was also revealed afterward that Sun is the largest individual holder of the TRUMP token.

Now transitioning from Solana to Tron, the TRUMP token enters a new growth phase. This move underlines the importance of cross-chain integrations in today’s crypto landscape.

Tron Network achieved record revenue in Q3 2024, earning a total of $577 million. This revenue was achieved through increased stablecoin activities and strategic moves towards the memecoin market. Tron’s performance drew attention by leaving leading blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum behind.

According to the data, Tron’s third-quarter revenue came from staking activities at 74%, while 26% came from coin burning transactions. Tron’s total revenue exceeded Bitcoin’s $56.3 million and Ethereum’s $256 million, demonstrating great success.

Tron also has a large share in the stablecoin market and stands out as the second largest blockchain after Ethereum. Tron controls 35% of the $172 billion stablecoin market and has gained popularity especially in emerging markets such as South America and Africa with transactions dominated by Tether (USDT).

Tron founder Justin Sun’s entry into the memecoin industry also contributed to the network’s revenue. The memecoin platform SunPump generated $1 million in revenue in 11 days, bringing its total revenue to $5.4 million. Tron recorded its biggest daily revenue on August 21, with a $1 billion USDT injection from Tether on August 20, bringing its revenue to $5.4 million in a single day.

USDC Support Deadline is April 5

Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it will cease the deposit and withdrawal transactions of USDC, a digital stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, on the Tron blockchain on April 5, 2024.

In a post shared by the crypto exchange, it explained that USDC tokens deposited with the TRC20 network will not be transferred to users’ accounts as of 02:00 UTC on the aforementioned date.

As this change will only occur on the Tron blockchain, users will be able to continue depositing and withdrawing USDC via other blockchains like Ethereum.

This decision by Binance comes about a month after Circle, the company of the stablecoin USDC, announced it was ending its USDC minting services on Tron.

Google Cloud: eleven New Networks in BigQuery. Google Cloud, an information business, is expanding its work in the blockchain field by adding 11 networks to its BigQuery program. Among these added networks are major ones such as Polygon, Polkadot, Optimism.

In February 2018, Google Cloud first announced its readiness to discover Bitcoin blockchain data through the program. Since then, the program has added 10 networks, including Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

You might like: Coinbase Registered with Bank of Spain

The announcement on Friday followed Google Cloud’s statement about expanding its blockchain efforts, despite encountering challenges in the crypto market.

In the company’s statement, it said; “We have invested in this field in the past 18 months, continued hiring, and continue to grow not only our business development and go-to-market teams, but also our product and engineering talents.”

In an interview last week, James Tromans, Google Cloud’s global head of Web3, stated, “We’re demonstrating that we haven’t just disappeared overnight and are present not only during prosperous times.”

Additionally, at the press release, the company recently announced that it added the Avalanche, Arbitrum, Cronos, Ethereum’s Goerli test, Tron and Near network to its BigQuery program

Google Cloud, also earlier this year, will develop Bitcoin BigQuery data set as a way to create NFTs on the largest and original blockchain network by supporting the Ordinals project that caught the hype.

What is BigQuery?

BigQuery is a program designed to overcome the limited ability of the network’s ledger to report on specific money flows stored in the short term, making past blockchain data available for discovery.

The TRC-20 standard allows anyone in the crypto community to easily create their own tokens on the Tron network. It’s similar to the ERC-20 token standard used on Ethereum. Tron team aims to offer better services than Ethereum and sees itself as a competitor to Ethereum. As a result, the Tron network with its TRC-20 tokens, emerged as an alternative to the Ethereum network, providing more options for users.

Tron network, also known as TRX, started on the Ethereum network but later created its own blockchain called Tron network. This shows that the cryptocurrency market has room for multiple projects to coexist and compete. While Ethereum is a leading altcoin with a large network, there are other projects that can rival its features. Moreover, there are many projects focused on improving Ethereum and addressing its limitations. This shows that the Ethereum network is constantly evolving and developing.

When using the tokens or any cryptocurrency, it’s important for users to conduct thorough research and make informed decisions. The cryptocurrency market carries significant risks, so investments should be based on realistic assessments rather than speculative predictions.
