Security concerns have resurfaced in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. On-chain investigator ZachXBT, well known for his blockchain analysis, has uncovered a serious security breach affecting Trust Wallet users. Following numerous reports from the community, initial investigations revealed unauthorized fund outflows from several wallets. According to early findings, total user losses from the incident have exceeded $6 million.

Security Incident Detected in Trust Wallet Browser Extension

Crypto wallet provider Trust Wallet confirmed on Thursday that it had identified a security incident affecting a specific version of its browser extension. According to the statement, the issue was limited to Trust Wallet Browser Extension version 2.68.

The company advised users running this version to immediately disable the extension and update to version 2.69. Trust Wallet also emphasized that its mobile applications and other browser extensions were not affected by the incident.

“We strongly recommend that users with Browser Extension version 2.68 disable the extension and upgrade to version 2.69. We understand how concerning this situation is for our users, and our teams are actively investigating the issue.”
— Trust Wallet official statement

ZachXBT: Hundreds of Users Affected

The incident first came to public attention through a community alert shared by ZachXBT on Telegram. He stated that he had received reports from a large number of Trust Wallet users regarding unauthorized fund transfers within a short period of time. While the exact technical cause has not yet been confirmed, the researcher noted that the cases appear to coincide with the timing of the most recent update to the Trust Wallet Chrome extension.

According to the initial list of theft addresses shared by ZachXBT, the attacker stole more than $6 million in cryptocurrency from hundreds of users. At the time of writing, the wallet believed to belong to the attacker reportedly held approximately $2.4 million in assets transferred from victims.

Statement from CZ: Losses Will Be Reimbursed

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance and owner of Trust Wallet, issued a statement to reassure users. Zhao said that the total losses identified so far are approximately $7 million, adding that Trust Wallet will compensate affected users.

“Trust Wallet will cover these losses. User funds are safe.”
— Changpeng Zhao (CZ)

A Concerning Picture for Crypto Security

This incident comes amid a period of rising attacks and phishing campaigns across the cryptocurrency sector. According to data from blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, total cryptocurrency thefts have surpassed $3.4 billion from the beginning of the year through December. This figure indicates that security risks have not diminished compared to last year.

The Trust Wallet breach once again highlights how critical a risk factor browser extensions can be for crypto users. Findings from ZachXBT and confirmations from Trust Wallet underscore the importance of closely monitoring updates and not neglecting security precautions. Developments suggest that crypto wallet security will remain a major topic of discussion in the period ahead.

Fintech giant Revolut and Trust Wallet, a self-custody wallet under Binance, have launched a new partnership enabling users across the European Union to purchase cryptocurrencies with full ownership control. Thanks to this integration, users can buy crypto without depositing funds into a centralized exchange and instead have the assets delivered directly to their self-custody Trust Wallet addresses. The process offers a significant improvement in both speed and security.

Instant Crypto Purchases: RevolutPay and Card Support

Under the partnership, Trust Wallet users can purchase crypto using RevolutPay, bank/credit cards, or bank transfers. Moreover, EU users can, in some cases, buy crypto instantly with zero fees. This model eliminates the traditional “deposit funds into a centralized platform first” requirement seen in most fintech systems. From the moment of purchase, users retain full, direct control over their digital assets.

Supported assets at launch include:

Bitcoin (BTC)

Ethereum (ETH)

Solana (SOL)

USDC

USDT

Revolut and Trust Wallet plan to expand this list with additional cryptocurrencies in the near future.

Why This Partnership Matters

This collaboration is part of Revolut’s strategic expansion in the crypto sector. The company recently obtained a MiCA license, granting it the right to offer regulated crypto services across the European Economic Area. This license allows Revolut to diversify its crypto products and reach a broader user base.

Revolut’s rapid growth is notable:

$4 billion in revenue in 2024

$1.4 billion in pre-tax profit

New banking licenses acquired in Mexico and Colombia

A secondary share sale involving Coatue, Fidelity, and NVIDIA’s NVentures, valuing the company at $75 billion

On the other hand, Trust Wallet—used by over 220 million people globally—remains one of the leading self-custody solutions. Through this integration, Trust Wallet users gain faster, more secure, and more seamless access to crypto purchases.

Benefits for Users

The new integration offers three major advantages, especially for EU users:

1. Full ownership control: Assets go directly to Trust Wallet; at no point are user funds held on a centralized platform.

2. Fast and simple purchases: RevolutPay and card payments enable near-instant transactions.

3. Low fees: In certain cases, crypto purchases may be completely fee-free.

This innovation aims to provide a stronger, more independent digital asset experience for users in the EU.

Conclusion

The Revolut–Trust Wallet partnership represents a significant step forward for crypto users who prioritize security and full control over their assets. At a time when interest in self-custody models is rapidly increasing, offering users complete ownership and transparency delivers a major advantage in the European digital finance landscape.

Trust Wallet, one of the largest self-custody wallets in the crypto ecosystem, has introduced a major innovation in the Web3 space. The company officially launched its Prediction Markets feature, allowing users to trade tokenized prediction markets on real-world events without leaving the app. With more than 220 million users, Trust Wallet has become the first Web3 wallet to natively integrate prediction markets.

Users Can Now Invest in Real-World Events Directly From Their Wallet

With the new “Predictions” feature, Trust Wallet users can buy and sell outcome tokens tied to real-world events—such as elections, sporting events, global trends, economics, crypto announcements, and more—with a single click. Moreover, these trades can be executed using assets users already hold, meaning no platform switching, registration, or additional wallet connection is required.

With this innovation, Trust Wallet aggregates markets from leading prediction platforms like Myriad, Kalshi, and Polymarket into a single interface, offering users a unified, simple, and secure experience. This allows users to discover, compare, and trade markets from different platforms through a single screen. CEO Eowyn Chen reflected this vision, stating:

“People shouldn’t need five different apps just to make a prediction. Wallets are no longer just places to store tokens; they’re becoming hubs where information, opinions, and expectations are traded. Our goal is to make access to these new markets as safe and effortless as possible.”

Myriad: “This Is a Historic Moment for Web3 Prediction Markets”

The Predictions feature is initially powered by Myriad. The platform’s co-founder, Farokh Sarmad, called the integration a milestone for the industry, saying:

“Becoming the first prediction market to be natively integrated into a wallet is a major milestone for this asset class. Trust Wallet’s massive user reach makes on-chain predictions more accessible than ever before.”

Myriad has already increased its trading volume tenfold in just three months, surpassing $100 million, highlighting the rapidly growing interest in tokenized markets tied to real-world events.

Trust Wallet Is Evolving Into a Trading Hub Rather Than Just a Wallet

The Prediction Markets feature is seen as a key step in Trust Wallet’s evolution from a simple asset storage solution into a comprehensive Web3 hub combining financial, social, and on-chain interactions. The wallet now offers a wide range of functionalities from memecoins and NFTs to transfers, staking, and now prediction markets. The Myriad-powered launch is live today, with Polymarket and Kalshi integrations set to be added soon.

A New Era for Web3 Wallets

Trust Wallet’s Prediction Markets initiative expands the functional boundaries of Web3 wallets, making the on-chain experience more interactive, social, and integrated. This innovation is seen as a major step toward accelerating the adoption of Web3 by simplifying access to tokenized markets based on real-world events..

Trust Wallet is ushering in a new era in the decentralized finance (DeFi) world. Through its integration with Aster DEX, the platform will now allow users to engage in perpetual trading (perp trading) with up to 100x leverage across more than 100 trading pairs. This innovation expands the boundaries of decentralized trading, offering a fully non-custodial and KYC-free experience.

Direct Perpetual DEX Trading via Trust Wallet

With the latest update, users can now trade perpetual contracts directly through the Trust Wallet app using Aster DEX. The standout feature of this system is its fully decentralized structure users can trade without undergoing KYC verification and without giving up custody of their assets to third parties.

The Aster DEX integration supports over 100 trading pairs, where users can open and close leveraged positions of up to 100x. This upgrade transforms Trust Wallet from merely a crypto storage solution into a full-fledged DeFi trading platform, reinforcing its role as a key gateway to decentralized finance.

Full Control in Users’ Hands: No Custody, No Restrictions

Trust Wallet continues to uphold one of DeFi’s core principles complete user control over assets. Under the new system, investors can now perform the following actions directly through their wallets:

Perpetual asset trading

Staking and liquidity provision

Token swapping (swap)

Portfolio management and leveraged trading

With these capabilities, Trust Wallet is evolving into a comprehensive DeFi hub where all financial activities can be carried out within the wallet itself.

Aster DEX Integration: A Strategic Move for the BNB Ecosystem

The integration of Aster DEX marks a strategic milestone for the BNB Chain ecosystem, which currently handles an estimated $100 million in trading volume. Through this partnership, Trust Wallet enables deeper liquidity, lower transaction fees, and seamless DeFi access.

According to experts, this integration will strengthen the BNB ecosystem not only technically but also strategically. Users can now trade high-liquidity perpetual contracts using BNB-based tokens directly through Trust Wallet. This advancement increases transaction speed and makes the DeFi trading experience more accessible and user-friendly for a global audience.

Trust Wallet Becomes the New Center of DeFi

With its partnership with Aster DEX, Trust Wallet is ushering in a new era of crypto trading by offering up to 100x leveraged trading. Users can now trade on a secure, non-custodial, and KYC-free platform with high liquidity, marking a major leap forward in decentralized finance.

This move strengthens the foundation of a DeFi future where users have full control independent from centralized exchanges. Through this integration, Trust Wallet is evolving beyond a simple wallet into a comprehensive financial ecosystem, redefining how traders interact with decentralized markets.

Despite recent turbulence across the crypto market, the BNB Chain community continues to build, innovate, and grow together. This spirit of resilience has become a defining strength of the ecosystem — and now, the BNB team is recognizing that dedication through a major new initiative.

$45 Million Reload Airdrop: A Massive Community Reward

BNB Chain has officially announced a $45 million “Reload Airdrop” in collaboration with Four Meme, supported by PancakeSwap, Binance Wallet, and Trust Wallet. The campaign will distribute BNB tokens to over 160,000 users and addresses who recently traded memecoins on the BNB Chain.

Each participant will receive a random amount of BNB, with the first round of distributions set to begin this week. The airdrop process will continue through early November 2025, providing a meaningful gesture of support to the memecoin community, which has been among the most affected by recent market volatility.

Click to Register on Binance Exchange with a 20% Commission Discount!

A Token of Appreciation for the Memecoin Community

Beyond being a simple rewards program, the Reload Airdrop highlights the unity and collaborative energy within the BNB ecosystem. The memecoin community — known for its creativity, enthusiasm, and engagement — has played a vital role in keeping the BNB Chain vibrant and active.

With this initiative, BNB Chain aims to thank its users and builders while encouraging ongoing participation, innovation, and contribution to the ecosystem’s growth.

BNB Chain reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all developers, creators, and users within its network. The Reload Airdrop serves as more than just an incentive — it’s a testament to how the BNB ecosystem continues to thrive not only through market cycles but also through the collective strength and creativity of its community.

The leading crypto wallet, Trust Wallet, has introduced a new convenience for users. As of October 6, 2025, the platform added direct SOL (Solana) support for ASTER cross-chain swaps. This development marks a significant milestone for both Trust Wallet users and the ASTER ecosystem.

Trust Wallet Expands Cross-Chain Swaps

According to an official announcement on Trust Wallet’s X account, users can now swap their SOL balances directly to the ASTER network. The feature is accessible via “Swap → Cross Chain Transfer → ASTER” steps, allowing users to perform cross-chain transfers without relying on third-party bridge services.

This integration strengthens Trust Wallet’s multi-chain capabilities while opening the door to secure and fast transactions in the crypto market. Additionally, ASTER’s liquidity growth has caught attention in the context of altcoin trends.

Importance of ASTER and SOL Integration

ASTER has recently gained attention for its developer community and DeFi projects, and the Trust Wallet integration will expand its user base. Furthermore, direct transfer of SOL-based assets to ASTER is expected to boost transaction volume and network usage.

From a price analysis perspective, the integration had an immediate impact. Market data from October 6 shows a short-term rise in ASTER’s price, reflecting investors’ swift response to the new feature.

This development not only extends Trust Wallet’s SOL swap functionality but also positions ASTER as a new hub for liquidity flow.

What This Means for Users

The new feature saves time and eliminates third-party bridge fees. SOL holders can now access the ASTER network directly from a single wallet.

In short, this integration:

Enables direct SOL → ASTER swaps,

Removes the need for third-party bridges,

Increases cross-chain liquidity,

Strengthens user security.

This way, Trust Wallet simplifies the cross-chain experience while leading the decentralized swap infrastructure from a market analysis standpoint. Moreover, this step could present new investment opportunities for both SOL and ASTER.

What has happened in the crypto world on April 1st so far? From Vitalik to Trust Wallet, Samson Mow to Binance; here are the funniest and most surprising pranks!

1- OneCoin Dethroned Ethereum!

On April 1, 2017, CoinDesk published a news article that could have shaken the crypto world. According to the report, a federal judge had ruled that OneCoin was a legitimate and legal cryptocurrency. As a result, CoinMarketCap would be required to list OneCoin, which would push it ahead of Ethereum to claim the second spot by market cap.

Even more importantly, the decision was said to highlight government intervention in the crypto ecosystem, which is supposed to be decentralized. Such a massive news piece might have emotionally driven some investors to change their trading plans. However, the following sentence at the end of the article eased the tension:

“Unprecedented price volatility is not expected across major cryptocurrencies in the coming days… because this is just a huge joke!”

2- “Degen Communism: The Only Correct Ideology!” – Vitalik Buterin

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin made his own April Fools’ joke by writing a humorous blog post declaring that “degen communism” was the only acceptable political ideology in the crypto world. This concept was seen as a playful jab at the memecoin craze.

Degen communism: the only correct political ideologyhttps://t.co/CpFdMGCsJg

— vitalik.eth (@VitalikButerin) April 1, 2024

According to Buterin, degen communism is an ideology that embraces chaos but fine-tunes the fundamental rules and incentive structures to guide the outcomes of this chaos toward the collective good.

3- Trust Wallet’s April Fools’ Prank: The Real Satoshi Nakamoto Confirmed!

One of the most debated topics in the crypto world is the identity of Bitcoin’s mysterious creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Over the years, many people have claimed to be Nakamoto or to know the real identity, but the community has always approached these declarations with skepticism.

One of the most controversial figures claiming to be Nakamoto is Craig Wright. However, Wright’s claims have been repeatedly disproven.

Adding a humorous touch to this debate, Trust Wallet made the following post on X (Twitter) on April 1st:

BREAKING: Craig Wright has been confirmed as Satoshi Nakamoto!

Just kidding, April fools!

— Trust Wallet (@TrustWallet) April 1, 2020

However, Trust Wallet didn’t drag the joke out for too long and quickly added a clarification beneath the tweet:

“Just kidding, April Fools!”

As April Fools’ jokes have become a tradition in the crypto world, Trust Wallet joined in the fun by adding a humorous twist to the Craig Wright debate.

4- Binance’s “Croc” Prank: Meaningless but Funny!

The crypto exchange Binance took an unconventional approach to April Fools’ jokes, making its followers laugh. The company posted a picture of a “Croc” (slipper) next to its logo on social media with the following message:

Crucial information. pic.twitter.com/FQiERcOkbV

— Binance (@binance) April 1, 2023

Without any context or explanation, this post gained significant attention within the crypto community. As users debated what Binance might be trying to convey, the company kept the prank’s mystery intact, offering no further clarification.

5- Samson Mow: EU is Introducing Office Hours for Crypto Wallets (!)

Crypto entrepreneur Samson Mow made a notable post on social media, claiming that the European Union would impose bank-like restrictions on crypto wallets. According to Mow, under the new regulations, crypto wallets would only be allowed to make transactions:

BREAKING: EU lawmakers decide to unban self-hosted wallets, but will limit the number of addresses to 10. Also, wallets will only be allowed to send and receive transactions from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, excluding holidays.

— Samson Mow (@Excellion) April 1, 2023

Such a restriction would completely contradict the fundamental purpose of cryptocurrencies, which were designed as an alternative to traditional banking systems. However, Mow’s April Fools’ joke also made a subtle reference to the EU’s real regulatory efforts to limit self-hosted wallets.

The discovery of a zero-day exploit targeting Apple’s iOS platform has sent shockwaves through the cyber security realm, raising concerns about the safety and integrity of millions of iPhone users’ devices.

Trust Wallet’s Alarming Revelation

Trust Wallet, a reputable crypto wallet provider, sounded the alarm bells after uncovering evidence of a zero-day exploit lurking within Apple’s iMessage application. CEO Eowyn Chen’s disclosure of a screenshot purportedly showcasing the exploit for sale on the dark web for a staggering $2 million sparked immediate concern among iOS users. The urgency of Trust Wallet’s warning, urging users to disable iMessage to mitigate the risk, underscores the severity of the threat posed by this exploit.

Industry Response and Skepticism

In the wake of Trust Wallet’s revelation, industry experts and commentators have responded with a mix of alarm and skepticism. While some have echoed Trust Wallet’s concerns and emphasized the gravity of the situation, others have raised doubts about the validity of the claimed threat. The criticism from the public emphasizes the lack of concrete evidence that goes beyond the screenshot and represents an overall sense of careful inspection in the cyber security space.

Navigating the Perilous Landscape of Zero-Day Exploits

The emergence of this zero-day exploit serves as a stark reminder of the ever-present threats looming in the digital realm. With cyber criminals constantly comes up with new tactics to exploit vulnerabilities in popular software and platforms, the need for strong cyber security measures has never been more pressing. As iOS users grapple with the implications of this recent exploit, vigilance, informed decision-making, and collaboration between industry stakeholders are essential in safeguarding against future attacks into the digital infrastructure we rely upon.

“Alert for iOS users: We have credible intel regarding a high-risk zero-day exploit targeting iMessage on the Dark Web,” the business said on X. The firm emphasized that the zero-day attack can penetrate and take control of iPhone users without requiring them to open a link and that high-value account holders are particularly vulnerable.

Alleged iMessage Zero-Day Threat Sparks Controversy
A zero-day exploit is a cyberattack vector that makes use of an undiscovered or unpatched security hole in computer software, hardware, or firmware. Trust Wallet stated that any cryptocurrency wallets stored on an iPhone with iMessage enabled are in danger. Eowyn Chen, the firm’s CEO, shared a screenshot of what she believes is a potential zero-day exploit with an asking price of $2 million.

Trust Wallet recently issued a warning about a potential zero-day exploit targeting iMessage on iOS devices. However, several industry experts have dismissed the threat, calling it unsubstantiated. Pseudonymous blockchain analyst Beau pointed out the lack of evidence for an iOS hack, emphasizing that Trust Wallet’s alert could cause unnecessary panic.

Despite this skepticism, Trust Wallet’s notice garnered significant attention, with over 1.2 million users viewing it within the first four hours. The company clarified that their information came from their security team and partners, who are actively monitoring risks. Meanwhile, Apple has released emergency security fixes to address two iOS zero-day vulnerabilities used in recent iPhone attacks. Kaspersky security researchers note that hackers have previously exploited Apple’s iMessage as an attack vector.

Additionally, cybersecurity firm Halborn warned that over 280 blockchain networks are vulnerable to zero-day attacks, potentially putting over $25 billion in cryptocurrency at risk.
