In his post, Musk stated, “A two-party system is not a democracy—it’s a one-party corruption regime.” He criticized both Republicans and Democrats and highlighted that the new party was created “for the people.” He added, “Citizens deserve more choice and less elite control.”

The announcement immediately stirred the political landscape in the U.S. While some expressed support, many criticized the move. The strongest reaction came from Donald Trump. 

Trump’s Harsh Response: “Creates Nothing But Chaos” 

Trump addressed the situation via Truth Social, saying: “Musk has gone completely off the rails. Third parties never succeed in America. They only create chaos.” 

In a post shared just hours after Musk’s announcement, Trump wrote: “It saddens me to watch Elon Musk go completely off track in the last five weeks—it’s like a train wreck.”

He also criticized the formation of the new political party, saying:  “Despite their historical failures, he now wants to create a Third Party. The system is simply not made for that.” 

Musk responded to Trump’s criticism. Meanwhile, the public’s reaction was striking. In a poll Musk shared on X, 65.4% of the 1.2 million participants said a new party was necessary—clear support for Musk’s move. 

Tensions between the two have grown, especially after Musk recently left the DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) project under the Trump administration. 

Trump also made a veiled accusation, referencing Musk’s ties to NASA:

“Wanting a close friend to run NASA was inappropriate during a time when the agency played a major role in his life.” He concluded, “My number one duty is to protect the American people!” 

America Party Officially Embraces Bitcoin 

A day after the announcement, Musk hinted that the new party will accept Bitcoin (BTC). Responding to a user on X, he said: “Fiat is hopeless. We support BTC.” 

Following this statement, Bitcoin rose 1.42% to $109,600, with trading volume surging by 28% to $38 billion. Open interest in BTC futures rose 4% to $75 billion. If it breaks above $110,000, new highs could follow. Reports also suggest Musk is accumulating Bitcoin. Tesla already holds 11,509 BTC, making it one of the top corporate holders.

Musk’s America Party offers not only a political alternative but a direct challenge to the current establishment. With elections looming, it could reshape political dynamics. 

Musk concluded: “Today, the America Party is born. We’re here to restore your freedom.” No candidates, policies, or funding details have been revealed yet, but the debate has clearly begun.
