Grayscale has revealed its expectations for the fourth quarter and released its list of the top 20 altcoins, adding 6 new tokens.

In its report for Q4 2024, Grayscale highlighted 20 altcoins with growth potential, taking into account market trends and key factors specific to each token. The list now includes 6 new altcoins: SUI, TAO, OP, HNT, CELO, and UMA. However, RENDER, MNT, RUNE, PENDLE, ILV, and RAY have been removed from the previous list.

According to Grayscale, the altcoins with high potential for the fourth quarter are as follows:

Bitcoin (BTC)

Ethereum (ETH)

Solana (SOL)

Toncoin (TON)

Chainlink (LINK)

Near (NEAR)

Uniswap (UNI)

Sui (SUI)

Bittensor (TAO)

Stacks (STX)

Aave (AAVE)

Optimism (OP)

Arweave (AR)

Maker (SKY)

Helium (HNT)

Lido DAO (LDO)

Akash Network (AKT)

Aerodrome (AERO)

Celo (CELO)

UMA Protocol (UMA)

Additionally, it was stated, “This quarter, we have removed the following projects from the Top 20: Celo. Grayscale Research continues to value each of these projects, and they remain important elements of the crypto ecosystem. However, we believe the revised Top 20 list may offer more attractive risk-adjusted returns for the upcoming quarter.

Investing in the crypto asset class involves risks, including some unique to the crypto space, such as smart contract vulnerabilities and regulatory uncertainty. Furthermore, all assets in the Top 20 have high volatility and carry high risks, making them unsuitable for all investors. In light of the risks associated with the asset class, any investment in digital assets should be considered within the context of a portfolio and with the investor’s financial goals in mind.”

The cryptographic investment company Grayscale has recently released its report on the outlook for the fourth quarter of 2024. It reveals the cryptocurrencies with the greatest potential in October, November and December, In addition to this, it provides insight on perspective shift and advancements in this industry. Grayscale has revised the list that was provided in the previous quarter: some coins were added while some were excluded; 6 are new now.

Among the lately added cryptocurrencies are SUI, TAO, OP, HNT, CELO, and UMA. Dropped off the list instead were RENDER, MNT, Rune, PENDLE, ILV, and RAY. These projects mirror Grayscale’s changing view on bitcoin projects and present market dynamics.

The research offers some innovative project concepts. Designed for instance by former Meta engineers, Sui is a third-generation blockchain. Following a recent upgrade enhancing Solana’s transaction speed by 80%, Sui’s network consumption has skyrocketed, exceeding Solana in this respect and ensuring a good list ranking.

Another effort bringing about transformation is optimism since it provides a solution for Ethereum’s scalability issues. Its execution in well-known initiatives including Sam Altman’s Worldcoins project and Coinbase’s Layer 2 network Base has inspired future hope.

The book also notes UMA and Celo. While UMA offers a distributed oracle network for prediction markets like as Polymarket, Celo specializes on stablecoins and payment systems in emerging nations. Particularly thankful of Opera’s MiniPay function; Celo has lately been rather popular in Africa and consumes more stablecoins than Tron.

Helium made the list under its direction in the DePIN area and with high reputation for sustainable income source. Helium’s over a million access points and 100,000 mobile customers reinforce its position in the market given more than $2 million in network fees.

Among efforts at the junction of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, Bittensor stands out in trying to provide a distributed platform for artificial intelligence innovation. Its listing shows Grayscale’s awareness of evolving market structure as well as the expanding influence of artificial intelligence on the crypto scene.

Extensive research by Grayscale provides investors with a road map and perceptive analysis of which projects might take front stage in the future months.

Built on the Ethereum blockchain, UMA (Universal Market Access) is an open-source protocol meant to support the synthesis of financial contracts and synthetic assets. The main goal of UMA is to give distributed finance (DeFi) worldwide market access so that anybody may develop, trade, and manage synthetic assets replicas of real-world value.

How UMA Works

Operating via a distributed oracle system and smart contracts, which guarantee data quality and dependability utilized in the construction of synthetic assets, UMA is without the need for conventional financial intermediaries; these assets can show everything from equities and commodities to cryptocurrency, therefore providing consumers with a wide range of investment possibilities.

Key Features and Benefits

Decentralized Oracles: Using a distributed oracle architecture, UMA offers accurate and safe data feeds for smart contracts. This guarantees the synthetic assets produced on the platform their integrity and openness.

Synthetic Assets: UMA democratizes access to several financial markets by letting people produce synthetic assets. These synthetic assets help consumers to be exposed to assets without really owning them, hence lowering obstacles to access for worldwide investors.

Universal Market Access: The main goal of UMA is to make financial markets available to everyone, from all geographical areas to every financial level. By using blockchain technology to replace centralized financial institutions, one can attain this inclusiveness.

Use Cases and Applications

The DeFi scene finds great use for UMA’s protocol. Synthetic forms of classic financial products, including bonds, futures, and options, can be produced using it. Furthermore, UMA’s adaptability lets new financial products catered to DeFi users’ particular needs—such as risk management tools and yield farming derivatives—develop.

The UMA Token

The ecology of the platform depends much on the UMA token. It is utilized for governance; token holders may vote on important protocol improvements and modifications. UMA tokens are also placed as collateral to support the synthetic assets developed on the platform, therefore guaranteeing their stability and value.

Future Prospects

UMA is positioned to dominate synthetic assets and financial contracts as the DeFi space expands. Its open-source character and emphasis on equality and accessibility help make it a potent tool for distributed finance going forward.

Conclusion

UMA is a novel protocol that lets consumers all over in distributed financial markets. UMA removes conventional limitations and democratizes access to a large spectrum of financial instruments by allowing the production and trade of synthetic assets. UMA is going to become increasingly important as DeFi develops in determining the direction of world finance.

Will the rise continue? Which levels are crucial for price increases? Here are the prices for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and popular altcoins!

Bitcoin has dropped below the 70,000 level, and today’s data from the US may impact Bitcoin. A drop to the 67,500 region is normal; the key is not to see closures below the 68,000 level. If this happens, the market may start to move downward again.

Bitcoin (BTC): The BTC/USDT pair has lost 0.35% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $69,906. Resistance levels for BTC are first at $72,400 and then at the ATH level. Support levels are at $68,000, and below that, they are at $66,000.

Ethereum (ETH): The ETH/USDT pair has lost 0.64% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $3,767. Resistance levels for ETH are first at $4,070 and then at $4,444. Support levels are at $3,476, and below that, they are at $3,320.

Uma (UMA): The UMA/USDT pair has gained 3.78% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $3.78. Resistance levels for UMA are first at $4.05 and then at $4.51. Support levels are at $3.55, and below that, they are at $3.16.

Open Campus (EDU): The EDU/USDT pair has gained 16.05% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $20.50. Resistance levels for EDU are first at $0.82 and then at $1.18. Support levels are at $0.63, and below that, they are at $0.48.

Enjin (ENJ): The ENJ/USDT pair has gained 3.00% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.36. Resistance levels for ENJ are first at $0.42 and then at $0.53. Support levels are at $0.32, and below that, they are at $0.30.

While the market is heading lower, some coins are resisting the move. UMA Coin, API3 and IMX Coin are holding strong against the downtrend and continuing to rise. What are the support and resistance levels of UMA, API3 and IMX?

UMA Coin Price Analysis:

UMA Coin enormusly pumped from $1.9 to $7 last month. Then investors sold profits and the cryptocurrency’s price fell as low as $3.97. Today, Uma Coin is trading above $ 4.6, up 17% from $ 3.97. The support level to follow is $4, while the upper resistance zone is $5.

What is UMA?

UMA, the native cryptocurrency of the UMA protocol (Universal Market Access protocol), serves as the foundation for a platform that enables users to generate their own synthetic assets. These synthetic assets are digital tokens designed to mirror and monitor the value of real-world assets. Referred to as “priceless financial contracts” within the platform, these tokenized assets offer users the ability to gain exposure to various assets and markets in a decentralized and efficient manner.

API3 Price Analysis:

Like UMA, API3 has experienced a bumpy price movement over the past month. API3 rose from $1.5 to $3.3 and charted a bit scary for its investors. Finally, the coin is up 15% today, trading at $3.6. While our support zone in API3 is 3 dollars, the next resistance zone is 3.6 dollars, where it is currently located.

What is API3?

API3 serves as the native token of the API3 project, granting holders the privilege to engage in the governance of the API3 ecosystem via the API3 DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). To acquire shares in the API3 DAO, token holders must stake their API3 tokens into the insurance pool, which additionally provides them with access to weekly staking rewards. This setup enables token holders to actively participate in shaping the future direction and decisions of the API3 ecosystem while incentivizing participation through staking rewards.

IMX Coin Price Analysis:

IMX has been on a slow but steady uptrend from $1.6. It has been rising for almost the last two weeks and is currently trading at $2.9, up 6%. While the support zone for IMX is $2.5, the resistance zone seems to be the $4 level. This price trend

What is IMX?

Immutable X (IMX) serves as the native token of an NFT (non-fungible token) marketplace, functioning as a layer 2 network solution for the Ethereum blockchain. Leveraging zero-knowledge proof technology, Immutable X provides users with low transaction fees, rapid transaction speeds, and enhanced scalability, enabling the network to handle a greater volume of transactions without compromising performance. This infrastructure facilitates efficient and seamless trading of non-fungible tokens while addressing some of the key limitations of the Ethereum network.

UMA (Universal Market Access) is a optimistic oracle on Ethereum.

What is Oracle?

Oracles are an important part of blockchain infrastructure. They facilitate untrusted communication between the outside world and on-chain environments.

They have advanced decentralized finance (DeFi) and many parts of the Blockchain industry, including Web3 applications. (for example: ChainLink, BAND Protocol, API3)

What is an Optimistic Oracle?

Optimistic oracle is an oracle type that provides data flow from the real world to a decentralized environment. Incoming data are voted on with DAOs and accepted as correct if unchallenged.

The optimistic oracle also known as a “a human-powered truth machine” is making global markets universally fair and reliable.

How Does Uma Work?

In UMA’s optimistic oracle, there are three elements: data requester, data provider and potential objector.

Request: Token holders generate Data requests.

Offer: The contract requests data. The offeror pledges a collateral and the data is transferred to blockchain if accepted as correct. Then he regains hiscollateral and they can challenge the data if they think it is wrong during the objection period.

Objection: There can be someone who does not accept the data provided by the offeror and this person pledges a certain amount of collateral and the UMA team resolves the issue within 48 hours. If the objector is right, part of the collateral pledged is given as a reward, but if they are unjust, they lose all the collateral pledged and this fund is given to the offeror.

What Makes Uma Different?

Its optimistic oracle is more flexible than other oracles because of its human-supported system, and erroneous and repetitive data are voted on the DAO and sorted out in agreement. Thanks to its flexible structure, it renders web3‘s potential limitless.

Uma Token and Its Uses

UMA token is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and token holders can join in DAOs.

Token holders are eligible to win rewards when they participate in the votes and also they have a say in governance and have the authority to make decisions in protocol upgrades and system changes.

According to Etherscan data, the total supply is 114.8M UMA tokens and the circulating supply is 73,316,736 according to CMC data.

Uma Team

UMA network has a wide team of 137 employees. Leader of the team, Hart Lambur, who after completing his education in Computer Sciences at Colombia University, was on the research team in the same university’s robotics laboratory.

Later, Hart Lambur who interested in trade, started at Goldman Sachs (2005-2013) with interest Rate Trade. He learned about arbitrage, hedge funds and leveraged transactions at Goldman Sachs. He is also continuing his duty as director of Risk Labs.

Ecosystem

There are some projects using Optimistic Oracle technology in the UMA ecosystem: including products like Snapshot, across, polymarket, outcome, rated, shapeshift, Sherlock, cozy.

Snapshot: Serves as a voting platform

Across: Provides bridge and stake service

Polymarket: A platform where you can earn money by voting on subject headings. It serves as the most clearly experienced platform of Optimistic Oracle use.

For example; Will Trump win the election? You vote “yes” or “no” by putting up a certain collateral, and if you’re right, you get the reward.

Activities

UMA has 54 shared on Github and it updates its files frequently. It has an active Twitter account and frequently makes shares with 65.8k followers currently. Also, on Discord, it has a member count of 7634. It recently switched to UMA 2.0 and received updates. In other words they are really active on Social Media.

Where to Buy UMA?

You can buy UMA on the Binance exchange. If you don’t have a Binance account, you can register here with a commission discount.
