Ondo Finance (ONDO), Pyth Network (PYTH), and Zetachain (ZETA) will be available for margin trading on both Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced starting May 23, 2024, at 9:30 AM PT.

Expanding Margin Trading Services

Coinbase International Exchange, a margin trading platform for customers outside the U.S., had recently received approval from Bermuda to operate in September 2023. The exchange has been expanding its margin trading offerings, previously listing Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), Dogecoin (DOGE), Stellar (XLM), Polygon (MATIC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Celestia (TIA), Injective (INJ), Sei (SEI), Aptos (APT), Filecoin (FIL), Sui (SUI), Polkadot (DOT), Internet Computer (ICP), and Near Protocol (NEAR) for margin trading.

According to CoinGecko data, at the time of writing,

ONDO has gained 2.7% in the past 24 hours and is trading at $0.8933.

With Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading volumes lagging behind altcoins, Upbit, the dominant South Korean exchange, made the announcement on its official website on May 3rd, listing ZETA at 12:00 PM KST and OMNI at 1:00 PM KST.

According to the exchange’s announcement, ZETA deposits will only be possible through the ZETA network, while OMNI deposits will only be possible through the Ethereum network. Upbit also warned against transfers from other networks.

ZETA will be traded against Bitcoin, USDT, and South Korean Won (KRW), while OMNI will be traded against Bitcoin and USDT. Following the listings, investors will be able to trade on the ZETA/BTC, ZETA/KRW, ZETA/USDT, OMNI/BTC, and OMNI/USDT trading pairs.

According to CoinGecko data, the listing announcement sent the altcoins on a steep upward trajectory. ZETA’s price surged 35% from $1.37 to $1.858, while OMNI’s price jumped 37% from $18 to $24.7.

At the time of writing, ZETA is trading at $1.56 and OMNI is trading at $18.9.

Binance Futures may update the features of the ZETA/USDT Perpetual Contract, such as funding rate, mark price, maximum leverage, initial margin, and maintenance margin, from time to time depending on market conditions.

With Multi-Asset Mode, users will have the flexibility to trade on the ZETA/USDT Perpetual Contract using multiple margin assets. When this mode is active, other assets such as BTC can be used as margin for trades.
