The Worldcoin<\/a> network took a dip in the morning hours today following news of a lawsuit filed against its subsidiary OpenAI.<\/p>\n

Reports of legal action emerged as Tesla founder Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman for alleged breach of contract, as disclosed in a filing on Thursday. Musk’s lawsuit targets Worldcoin’s mainstream company OpenAI and its CEO. Musk alleges breach of contractual agreements allegedly made in 2015 when he was involved in the company’s founding.<\/p>\n

Sam Altman, who serves as a board member and co-creator of Worldcoin, also finds himself embroiled in controversy. The controversial Worldcoin project aims to provide digital identity and tokens in exchange for scanning individuals’ eyes.<\/p>\n

The volatility in AI tokens, including WLD<\/a>, is often correlated with developments in the broader AI industry. In February in particular, several AI tokens surged following positive earnings from chipmaker Nvidia and the launch of a new text-to-video product by OpenAI.<\/p>\n
