Built by Jump Crypto, the much-awaited and highly expected ‘Firedancer<\/strong>‘ independent validator client for the Solana blockchain will shortly start its first bug bounty program.<\/p>\n

Announced by pseudonymous creator Cantelope Peel, the initiative runs for six weeks, starting on July 10. Driven by Immunefi, the program will provide a maximum of $1 million to engineers discovering major flaws in the first version of the client, Firedancer v0.1<\/strong>, sometimes known as “Frankendancer.”<\/p>\n

Cantelope Peel, who posted on X<\/a> that “millions of slots of execution have been tested and match the Solana protocol<\/em>,” reports that work on Firedancer<\/strong> seems to be moving very nicely.<\/p>\n

The Firedancer<\/strong> client is aimed at increasing Solana’s resilience since any faults with the present client count could cause major blockchain troubles. Additionally implemented in C\/C++ is Firedancer<\/strong>, which maximizes the client for the high-frequency trading Jump is known for.<\/p>\n

“Given Solana’s success, our participation in the ecosystem over a couple years, and the very specific technical challenges that they wanted to solve as pertains to optimizing their network and runtime, (Firedancer<\/strong>) felt like a really great opportunity for us to come in and contribute,”<\/em> Jump Crypto president Kanav Kariya said.<\/p>\n
