Its top clients are Apple, AMD, Intel, Nvidia, Intel, and Qualcomm. But Apple is by far its biggest customer, as iPhones use <strong>TSMC<\/strong> semiconductors, which account for almost a fifth of its whole income.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TSMC&#8217;s<\/strong> great fabrication capacity essentially allows it to occupy a mostly isolated position atop the market. Some of their chips even come from global rivals like AMD, Intel, and Nvidia, which use it as a fabricator.<\/p>\n<p>Also firmly under the control of <strong>TSMC<\/strong> is bitcoin mining. The most often used semiconductors among miners are those utilized in the lion&#8217;s share of Bitmain Antminer models.<\/p>\n<p>Bitmain makes 98% of the Bitcoin rigs used in China using <strong>TSMC<\/strong> chips. Samsung has also expanded its mining operations using its own processors.<\/p>\n<p>From its early-day high of nearly a trillion dollars in market capitalization to a more meager $859.69 billion as of the time this article was written, <strong>TSMC<\/strong> has dropped. This places it below Berkshire Hathaway and presently ranks nine among global leaders, ahead of Eli Lilly and Tesla.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond <strong>TSMC<\/strong>, the next largest chip producer on the list is Broadcom\u2014aanother chipmaker that outsources fabrication to <strong>TSMC<\/strong>\u2014iin 12th position with a market value of $732.4 billion, discounting Nvidia, now ranked third with a market capitalization of $2.9 trillion.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Future_Prospects_and_Challenges\"><\/span>Future Prospects and Challenges<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Although the future of the market or the performance of different companies is unknown, <strong>TSMC&#8217;s<\/strong> special situation lets it profit from the windfalls of its rivals.
