Kamala Harris has again drawn the attention of the crypto community by releasing her first presidential campaign ad just ahead of today’s Bitcoin<\/a> Conference.<\/p>\n

Harris\u2019s campaign has gained significant traction following President Joe Biden\u2019s announcement that he would not seek re-election. Now running for the Democratic nomination, Harris released her first official campaign video less than a week after Biden\u2019s decision. This ad release comes just after she declined to attend the Bitcoin Conference starting today.<\/p>\n

The ad, which marks a pivotal moment in her campaign, highlights Harris’s swift rise to the position of presumptive nominee with the election just over 100 days away. Launched on Thursday morning, the video begins with uplifting shots of Harris smiling behind a podium, with her name and the American flag displayed prominently.<\/p>\n

Set to the powerful soundtrack of Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s song \u201cFreedom,\u201d the ad features scenes from Harris\u2019s first speech to her campaign staffers. \u201cThere are some people who think we should be a country of chaos. Of fear. Of hate,\u201d Harris declares, accompanied by visuals of Donald Trump and JD Vance. She adds, \u201cBut us, we choose something different. We choose freedom,\u201d as Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s chorus intensifies: \u201cFreedom, freedom, I can\u2019t move. Freedom cut me loose. Freedom, freedom where are you, cause I need freedom too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris emphasizes the need for various freedoms, including safety from gun violence, bodily autonomy, and economic security. \u201cFreedom not just to get by, but to get ahead. The freedom to be safe from gun violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body. We choose a future where no child lives in poverty. Where we can all afford healthcare. Where no one is above the law,\u201d she asserts.<\/p>\n

The ad underscores her message with headlines such as \u201cGuilty, Indicted, and Convicted,\u201d potentially referencing pro-Bitcoin candidate Trump and including an image of Stormy Daniels. Harris concludes with a call to action: \u201cWe believe in the promise of America and we\u2019re ready to fight for it. Because when we fight. We win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably absent from Harris\u2019s ad are mentions of financial markets, including crypto and Bitcoin.
