Underlining during a Q&amp;A session on the subscription-based platform Locals on August 8, Trump Jr., the eldest son of presidential candidate Donald Trump, stressed that the initiative is still in its early stages and far from completed. He underlined that instead of a memecoin, the platform would be a larger effort aimed to challenge accepted financial systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump Jr.<\/strong> made clear that the platform will target alleged banking industry discrepancies, but he left out precise details or a timeframe. &#8220;We want to penetrate a lot of the financial sector. &#8220;I believe there has been a lot of disparity in that only some people can get financing [&#8230;],&#8221; Trump Jr. stated. Many felt a memecoin release was immediately ahead. Posting on X, he encouraged the assumptions writing, &#8220;We are going to shake the crypto world with something Huge. The future is money dispersed; stay away from getting left behind. His brother Eric Trump also hinted about a major surprise in a similar tweet expressing his enthusiasm for bitcoin and DeFi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump Jr.<\/strong> answered questions in the Q&amp;A on the Restore the Republic (RTR) memecoin, which had recently witnessed a rise and then crash driven on by false claims of affiliation with the Trump family. Eric Trump declared the charges &#8220;absolutely false&#8221; in an August 8 post on X, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump denied any relation to the RTR token, therefore the value of the token plunged by around 70%.<\/p>\n<p>Reiterating the warning, Donald Trump Jr. cautioned the bitcoin community on using fake tokens with care.
