He did not, however, promise anything regarding a <strong>ripple stablecoin for Japan<\/strong> until the company introduces one for the United States.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<\/strong><em>People will want to hold Yen stablecoins, and I think that is only a matter of time<\/em><strong>,<\/strong>&#8221; Garlinghouse said in an interview with Bloomberg&#8217;s The China Show on September 7.<\/p>\n<p>Garlinghouse said he thinks the market to be very healthy in other respects, even though he regards Japan as a conservative market in some ways. The <strong>Ripple<\/strong> head boss said he &#8220;leaned in&#8221; on providing legislative certainty and regulatory clarity on both stablecoins and cryptocurrencies, unlike other nations.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;That has truly let investment and entrepreneurship flourish here in Japan,&#8221;<\/em> Garlinghouse said. He underlined again that the US has &#8220;certainly been behind&#8221; other nations, such as Japan, as well as the United Kingdom and Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>He advised that before thinking about Japan, <strong>Ripple<\/strong> will first concentrate on introducing a stablecoin in the US.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA key issue is that we will continue to make sure we are partnered with US regulators before we go live with the stablecoin. We will first issue it in the US, but we think there is opportunity for stablecoins globally, and certainly in Japan.
