According to the disclosed information, these new Bitcoin<\/strong> were acquired at an average price of $97,837. Michael Saylor<\/strong>, the company\u2019s founder, highlighted the company\u2019s strategy and purchase process in his statement.<\/p>\n

MicroStrategy, already the company with the largest Bitcoin<\/strong> holdings among publicly traded companies, added another 2,138 BTC<\/strong> to its portfolio for $209 million in the week ending December 29. This brings its total Bitcoin<\/strong> holdings to 446,400 BTC.<\/p>\n

The announcement was teased by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor<\/strong> in a post on X on Sunday. The average purchase price for this latest Bitcoin acquisition was $97,837, raising the company’s total average purchase price to $62,428 per BTC.<\/p>\n

The purchase was financed through the company’s at-the-market (ATM) program<\/strong>, which still has $6.88 billion remaining.<\/p>\n

Recently, MicroStrategy<\/strong> was added to the Nasdaq 100, ranking 57th with an index weight of 0.38%. However, the company’s stock is currently trading 40% below its record high reached on November 21.<\/p>\n
