Scammers claimed that the funds were only required to \u201clegitimize\u201d transactions and assured victims they were not actually purchasing the products. They also promised full reimbursement plus commissions. The Attorney General\u2019s office warned residents to remain vigilant against text messages from unknown senders claiming to offer jobs or opportunities.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"FBIs_Warning_on_Remote_Work_Scams\"><\/span>FBI\u2019s Warning on Remote Work Scams<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This case highlights a warning issued by the <strong>FBI<\/strong> in June 2024 about a rise in remote work scams.
