The agency <strong data-end=\"359\" data-start=\"316\">has sent warnings to more than 50 providers<\/strong> on the grounds that certain operators <strong data-end=\"302\" data-start=\"268\">failed to report suspicious transactions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"707\" data-start=\"364\">AUSTRAC CEO <strong data-end=\"397\" data-start=\"379\">Brendan Thomas<\/strong> said in a statement <strong data-end=\"478\" data-start=\"418\">that six companies were denied registration renewal requests<\/strong> because company officials <strong data-end=\"584\" data-start=\"537\">had been convicted, tried or charged with<\/strong> serious crimes. It was reported that if these companies do not meet the requirements, <strong data-end=\"983\" data-start=\"920\">their licenses may be suspended or revoked<\/strong>. In addition, <strong data-end=\"1066\" data-start=\"1004\">bankrupt exchanges such as FTX Australia and Zipmex Australia<\/strong> <strong data-end=\"1125\" data-start=\"1076\">have been removed from<\/strong> the country&#8217;s <strong data-end=\"1125\" data-start=\"1076\">Digital Currency Exchange Registry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1385\" data-start=\"1130\">There are <strong data-end=\"1179\" data-start=\"1144\">417 registered cryptocurrency exchanges<\/strong> and <strong data-end=\"1226\" data-start=\"1183\">5,112 money transfer service providers<\/strong> in Australia.
