This ETF will allow investors <strong data-end=\"604\" data-start=\"560\">to invest directly in Dogecoin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"644\" data-start=\"615\">Here are the details of the ETF:<\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"1034\" data-start=\"645\">\n<li data-end=\"724\" data-start=\"645\">It will be governed by a trust structure established under Delaware law.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"770\" data-start=\"725\">Bitwise will be the fund&#8217;s main manager.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"874\" data-start=\"771\">The aim of the fund is to track Dogecoin&#8217;s price movements and cover operational costs.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"961\" data-start=\"875\">It will be based on a pricing benchmark provided by CF Benchmarks Ltd.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1034\" data-start=\"962\">The fund will hold Dogecoin directly; no derivatives will be used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-end=\"1224\" data-start=\"1036\">The ETF&#8217;s management fee will also <strong data-end=\"1087\" data-start=\"1062\">be paid in Dogecoin<\/strong>. In addition, <strong data-end=\"1223\" data-start=\"1097\">assets received involuntarily in situations such as hard forks or airdrops will not be considered under the fund&#8217;s management agreement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-end=\"1278\" data-start=\"1231\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Highlights_of_the_Funds_Operation\"><\/span><strong data-end=\"1278\" data-start=\"1235\">Highlights of the Fund&#8217;s Operation<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-end=\"1573\" data-start=\"1279\">\n<li data-end=\"1415\" data-start=\"1279\">The ETF will only create and redeem with cash. Therefore, investors will not be able to deposit and withdraw Dogecoin directly.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1482\" data-start=\"1416\">Coinbase will act as the fund&#8217;s Dogecoin custodian.<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1573\" data-start=\"1483\">Bank of New York Mellon will handle cash custody, administration and transfers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-end=\"1695\" data-start=\"1575\">Bitwise <strong data-end=\"1647\" data-start=\"1584\">made its initial filing for the Dogecoin ETF at the end of January<\/strong> and <strong data-end=\"1693\" data-start=\"1668\">filed an S-1 application<\/strong> with the SEC on January 28.<\/p>\n<h3 data-end=\"1748\" data-start=\"1702\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Competition_heats_up_for_Dogecoin_ETF\"><\/span><strong data-end=\"1748\" data-start=\"1706\">Competition heats up for Dogecoin ETF<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-end=\"1986\" data-start=\"1749\">Bitwise <strong data-end=\"1807\" data-start=\"1787\">is not the only<\/strong> Dogecoin ETF applicant. <strong data-end=\"1850\" data-start=\"1809\">Rex Shares, Osprey Funds and Grayscale<\/strong> have also applied for similar products. The SEC <strong data-end=\"1985\" data-start=\"1898\">officially took Grayscale&#8217;s Dogecoin ETF application under consideration on February 13<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"2221\" data-start=\"1988\">In addition to the Dogecoin ETF, Bitwise <strong data-end=\"2093\" data-start=\"2037\">has also launched an Aptos (APT) based ETF<\/strong>. If the <strong data-end=\"2156\" data-start=\"2095\">February 27 application to the Delaware State Department<\/strong> is approved, <strong data-end=\"2199\" data-start=\"2170\">the first Aptos ETF in the US<\/strong> could be launched.<\/p>\n<p data-is-only-node=\"\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-end=\"2437\" data-start=\"2223\">It is not yet clear how the SEC will rule on Dogecoin ETFs.
