Moments ago, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ)<\/strong> addressed the recent allegations regarding his relationship with the U.S. government<\/strong>. CZ firmly denied the media reports, stating that he has not engaged in any discussions with any U.S. officials or representatives<\/strong>. His statement comes at a time when speculation about Binance\u2019s status and its ties with the U.S. is increasing, sparking curiosity in the market.<\/p>\n

“Sorry to disappoint, but the WSJ article got the facts wrong.<\/p>\n

More than 20 people told me they were asked by WSJ (and another media outlet), ‘Can you confirm that CZ made some deal for a pardon?’<\/p>\n

They probably asked hundreds of people just to have 20 people reach out to me. In essence, they tried hard to create a story to report.<\/p>\n

Fact: I have had no discussions of a Binance US deal with \u2026 well, anyone.<\/p>\n

No felon would mind a pardon, especially being the only one in U.S. history sentenced to prison for a single BSA charge.<\/p>\n

This article seems to be motivated as an attack on the President and crypto, with the remnants of the previous administration\u2019s ‘war on crypto’ still in play.<\/p>\n

I am always happy to make crypto great everywhere, in the U.S. and the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to see that even WSJ thinks I should be pardoned!”<\/p>\n
