<strong data-start=\"130\" data-end=\"144\">$1 billion<\/strong> in funding for two new <strong data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"203\">crypto-focused investment funds<\/strong> over the next three months, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"255\" data-end=\"509\">If successful, <strong data-start=\"270\" data-end=\"286\">$500 million<\/strong> will be allocated to <strong data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"342\">early-stage crypto investments<\/strong>, while the remaining <strong data-start=\"364\" data-end=\"380\">$500 million<\/strong> will be directed toward <strong data-start=\"405\" data-end=\"438\">late-stage crypto investments<\/strong>, sources familiar with the matter told <strong data-start=\"478\" data-end=\"496\">Fortune Crypto<\/strong> on March 21.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"772\">The <strong data-start=\"515\" data-end=\"526\">VC firm<\/strong>, founded by former <strong data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"571\">Coinbase board member<\/strong> and federal prosecutor <strong data-start=\"595\" data-end=\"609\">Katie Haun<\/strong> in 2022, revealed that it did not meet its 2022 fundraising target of <strong data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"696\">$1.5 billion<\/strong>, citing different <strong data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"736\">market conditions<\/strong> as the reason for the lower target.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"1037\">However, <strong data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"791\">Haun<\/strong> expects &#8220;excessive demand&#8221; for the two new funds. In March 2022, the firm closed its first fundraising round, raising <strong data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"926\">$1.5 billion<\/strong>, and also hired former executives from <strong data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"976\">Airbnb<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"990\">Coinbase<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1036\">Google&#8217;s technology incubator Jigsaw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1108\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Haun_Ventures_Plans_to_Focus_on_Stablecoins_in_Crypto_Investments\"><\/span>Haun Ventures Plans to Focus on Stablecoins in Crypto Investments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1406\">The firm plans to close its latest funding round in <strong data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1170\">June<\/strong>, which is expected to be one of the largest in <strong data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1236\">crypto funding<\/strong> over the last two years. <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1295\">Venture capital firm Paradigm<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1352\">digital asset investment manager Pantera Capital<\/strong> were also seeking similar amounts of funding in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1408\" data-end=\"1597\">In June 2024, <strong data-start=\"1422\" data-end=\"1434\">Paradigm<\/strong> closed an investment fund valued at <strong data-start=\"1471\" data-end=\"1487\">$850 million<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"1489\" data-end=\"1508\">Pantera Capital<\/strong> stated it aimed to raise more than <strong data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1558\">$1 billion<\/strong> for a new <strong data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1596\">blockchain-focused fund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1880\">Recently, <strong data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1626\">Haun Ventures<\/strong> participated in a <strong data-start=\"1645\" data-end=\"1674\">$70 million funding round<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"1679\" data-end=\"1690\">Bitwise<\/strong>, a <strong data-start=\"1694\" data-end=\"1726\">crypto asset management firm<\/strong>. Investors such as <strong data-start=\"1746\" data-end=\"1766\">Electric Capital<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"1782\">MassMutual<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"1821\">MIT Investment Management Company<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1847\">Highland Capital<\/strong> were also involved in the round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"2069\">While the specific focus of <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1942\">Haun\u2019s upcoming crypto funds<\/strong> has not been publicly disclosed, other <strong data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2011\">venture capital investors<\/strong> expect interest in <strong data-start=\"2031\" data-end=\"2046\">stablecoins<\/strong> to continue into 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2209\"><strong data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2104\">HashKey Capital CEO Deng Chao<\/strong> recently stated that <strong data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2141\">stablecoins<\/strong> represent the strongest proven <strong data-start=\"2173\" data-end=\"2185\">use case<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"2190\" data-end=\"2200\">crypto<\/strong> in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2504\"><strong data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2244\">Market analyst Infinity Hedge<\/strong> expects that <strong data-start=\"2258\" data-end=\"2283\">crypto VC investments<\/strong> in 2025 will surpass last year\u2019s levels but will not reach the peak seen during the <strong data-start=\"2368\" data-end=\"2388\">2021 bull market<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"2390\" data-end=\"2411\">VC crypto funding<\/strong> reached <strong data-start=\"2420\" data-end=\"2437\">$33.8 billion<\/strong> in 2021, while in 2024, it is expected to total <strong data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2503\">$13.6 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2504\"><em>You can also freely share your thoughts and comments about the topic in the comment section.
