The global sell-off accelerated after the S&amp;P 500 had its worst day ever, with a total loss of around $2.5 trillion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>European stock markets: European stock markets were similarly hit hard:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DAX fell -4.25% to 20,775.10,<\/li>\n<li>FTSE 100 fell -4.05% to 8,132.74.<\/li>\n<li>CAC 40 fell -3.94%, adding to investors&#8217; concerns.<\/li>\n<li>The Stoxx Europe 600 index fell the most since March 2020, with European stocks seeing a sharp sell-off.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Asia Pacific stocks: Asia Pacific stocks also suffered from the global sell-off:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nikkei 225 fell -2.15% to 32,897.50.
