After the announcement of Trump\u2019s private dinner<\/strong> on May 22<\/strong>, interest in the token surged rapidly, leading to significant increases in both trading volume<\/strong> and price<\/strong>. However, the Trump family<\/strong> did not need to sell any tokens directly to generate revenue. According to the contest rules<\/strong>, the top 220 holders<\/strong> of the token will be invited to the dinner, with the top 25 holders<\/strong> gaining access to a private reception<\/strong> with Trump beforehand.<\/p>\n

The project’s whitepaper<\/strong> states that of the planned 1 billion total token supply<\/strong>, only 20% is currently in circulation<\/strong>. Half of this amount was made available to the public, while the other half was added to a liquidity pool<\/strong> on a decentralized exchange (DEX<\/a>)<\/strong>. The CIC Digital<\/strong> company, affiliated with the Trump Organization<\/strong>, earns a 0.3% fee on every transaction<\/strong> within the pool.<\/p>\n

Blockchain analytics firm Nansen<\/strong> emphasizes that this revenue model doesn\u2019t rely on price fluctuations, but instead focuses on consistently generating income through trading volume<\/strong>. Currently, 80% of the TRUMP token supply remains locked<\/strong>, controlled by entities linked to Trump.<\/p>\n

Analyst Nicolai S\u00f8ndergaard<\/strong> highlights that transaction volume is more important than price movement: \u201cThe higher the volume, the more trades\u2014and the more commission revenue you earn.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, U.S. Democrats<\/strong> have voiced concerns that this structure could become a tool for anonymous individuals to influence the president<\/strong>. In an interview with NBC<\/strong>, Trump claimed he does not follow the token\u2019s price and denied personally profiting from the project. Still, data suggests otherwise: in the week following the dinner announcement alone, the project generated $1.3 million in trading fees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
