Investors had expected a decision in May, but the <strong>SEC<\/strong> has extended the review process for these crypto asset filings.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The proposed Dogecoin and <strong>XRP ETFs<\/strong> aim to provide institutional investors with access to digital assets. <strong>21Shares submitted its XRP ETF<\/strong> application in February, while <strong>Grayscale filed its Dogecoin ETF<\/strong> application in March, following the <strong>DOGE<\/strong> Trust. These applications are being evaluated under frameworks related to investor protection and anti-fraud measures.<\/span><strong> U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has now pushed the decision date for the <strong>XRP ETF<\/strong> to June 17. A similar date is expected for the Dogecoin ETF. This delay does not mean the applications have been rejected, but uncertainty remains.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Crypto_ETF_Approval_Process_and_Expert_Commentary\"><\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Crypto ETF Approval Process and Expert Commentary<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>The U.S. financial regulator<\/strong> approach is not limited to <strong>Dogecoin<\/strong> and XRP. Last week, the agency also delayed a decision on a <a href=\"https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/solana-etfs-face-further-delays-as-sec-extends-review-period\/\"><strong>Solana ETF<\/strong><\/a> application, highlighting its thorough review process for all altcoin ETFs.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst James Seyffart<\/strong> said delays in crypto <a href=\"https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/sec-delays-crypto-etfs-blackrock-under-review\/\"><strong>ETFs<\/strong><\/a> are normal. According to him, U.S. Securities is utilizing the full process to evaluate 19b-4 filings. Specifically for XRP, Seyffart noted that early approval in June is also a possibility.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Delays on spot crypto ETFs are expected. A bunch of XRP ETPs have dates in next few days.<\/p>\n<p>If we&#39;re gonna see early approvals from the SEC on any of these assets &#8212; i wouldn&#39;t expect to see them until late June or early July at absolute earliest. The U.S. financial regulator is taking steps to protect investors and maintain transparency in the market. The involvement of major companies like <strong>Grayscale and 21Shares<\/strong> increases the likelihood of approval.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Despite these developments, the <strong>crypto market<\/strong> remains calm. At the time of writing, Dogecoin is trading at $0.2264 and <strong>XRP<\/strong> at $2.355. An ETF approval could lead to a price increase.
